"I did my research and it sounded like they really checked that this gift card was legitimate. Their website said they took the ID and personal information of the sellers of the card so I thought we were safe. So when our family informed us of the embarrassing experience of trying to use their gift card and then being told in the store to call a number and that the gift card was a fake they were mortified. We spent around $65 for a $80 gift card thinking it was such a great deal, but now we are out of much more money than originally as we also have to buy our family a new gift. I have never had such an embarrassing, frustrating purchasing experience in my whole life. Raise.com should be ashamed of their customer service and will NEVER get my business again, not even with my $20 dollar raise.com gift card."

" I purchased a $200 restaurant gift card for $158 through Raise.com. I called the restaurant's customer service to verify the card balance the day I received the card, and it in fact did have a $200 balance.
I then gave the card to friends as a gift.
I received an email from the couple I gave the card to two weeks later, to let me know that they had attempted to use the card after eating dinner at the restaurant. The card now had a $zero balance, and they were stuck with paying for the bill.
Now, in addition to being embarrassed, I'm out an additional $42.00 because I have to buy another $200 gift card ( this time from the restaurant ).
If my friends had waited 100 days before attempting to use the card, I would have been out an additional $200, because Raise.com would not have refunded any portion.
Do not trust Raise.com because they can't guarantee the card one receives will have value on it."
"After reading a lot of negative reviews about fraud and being robbed, I was suspecting this not to work. I will tell you it did work for me, and here's what I did:
I bought 8 gift cards for Cabela's totaling around $1350 in value costing me around $1250. After placing the order I got an email 30 minutes later saying they needed to verify my identity... I was suspicious of this but called them and answered 3 multiple choice questions they generate based off your previous address. Everything came back correct. About 20 minutes later, I got an email saying my order was complete and I could print the in store vouchers or eGift cards. I printed the vouchers and went to the store THE SAME DAY (within 4 hours of placing the order).
I did this because I read people who wait a week or longer would have a $0 balance on their cards, implying the original customer went ahead and used the card after someone bought it.
During checkout, 6 of the 8 cards went through as gift certificates (he manually entered the card number and PIN and typed in the amount it was supposed to be for). 2 of the 8 cards worked as gift cards (he typed in the card number and PIN and the amount auto populated).
Everything worked out surprisingly well, and I got an even better deal on a rifle. I hope this review can help someone."
"Purchased 5 cards, 3 had problems 2 of them e-card CVS and AMC unusable at point of sale, 1 Lowes the card was suppose to be mailed to me and I never received it. I noticed the problem with the CVS card right away and Raise refunded the money. It was after the 100 day guarantee that I contacted Raise concerning the Lowes and AMC card. Raise responded with a stock answer of "we regret to inform you that your order falls outside of our 100 day Money-Back Guarantee....we are unable to issue a refund or replacement card.. I didn't ask for a refund or replacement card, I just wanted them to fix the one I had and mail the one that hadn't.
They have a great scheme going, they have found a way to get you money and keep it without providing the product they sold you. a legal but seemingly dishonest way to do business. Cost me $400.00. BUYER BEWARE"

It had no expiration date!
Went to RUTH CHRIS three or four times and then tried to use the card in May!
Told I needed a pin!
Tried to get pin from raise was told that I exceeded the 100 days guarantee and that my gift card was no longer valid!
Bottom line 195.00 stolen from me!!! "
"I bought a gift card from raise using their super deals. I had saved the card to be used on a trip. However when the time came to use the card, I found out that it had been fraudulently used at a different hotel 6 months ago. I contacted Raise and they advised it was out of the 100 day guarantee that they have. After reaching out to them over the phone and twitter, their customer service came through and they gave me another gift card for the same hotel and same value.
It made my day. The Raise team made this negative experience into a positive one for me. I went from almost not being a Raise customer, to happily looking for other gift card opportunities at Raise.

"Raise.com delayed my order for no apparent reason, for an egift card. I called my CC company and they said that the payment was authorized..no problem on their end.. Yet the Raise order is still "processing". I need the funds now, so now I'll be stuck having invested in useless egift cards when they finally decide to fulfill the order per their "guarantee" (delivery within 30 days. hah.) ail.. doubt I'll be using this vendor again."

"Be careful of this exchange. They won't protect against fraud on the exchange. I purchased a Coldstone gift card on the exchange. Coldstone realized after the 100 day guarantee period that some gift cards purchased on the exchange including mine were made fraudulently and zeroed out the balance. I asked raise to reimburse because this was a case of fraud and they refused. So unless you are willing to use the entire balance within 100 days you are on your own. They rather stiff the end user then protect the integrity of their exchange. "
