"PLEASE READ -- Raise works as long as your are smart about it. Use the full amount when your using them, use them within the 100 days, don't give them to someone as a gift...etc
I purchased 3 Lowe's in store gift cards totally $1536.68 for 10% off to use for my hard wood flooring. As soon as I got the gift cards in the mail I went to the service desk and checked the balances (all 3 were as expected).
Most of the bad reviews I read are people wanting the company to help them after the 100 days or people ordering the wrong cards by mistake and want a credit. I view this company very similar to ebay where they are just the between person of the buyer and seller.
I will definitely order from them again but I will make sure I will verify amount, use it right away, and use the full amount. "
"Raise is definitely smarter way to gift and shop. Always a great experience, they deliver in a timely manner and I have never experience any issues with any card. Today I called customer service for a return request and the gentlemen went above and beyond to provide me the best customer service. Love Raise!"
"i purchased a $75 gift card, used it once for $18 and when i went to use again, all the $$ was GONE. i called the company to see what activity had been on the card and found out the extra funds were returned to the store where the card was purchased since the card had been sold by someone who purchased with a stolen credit card. i contacted raise customer service and was BLOWN OFF saying i was past their return period.....so, I asked, "it's ok that one of your sellers STOLE a credit card and i lost all that money?" no response. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
" ,this has to to be the worst company ever, they started me out at a 10% commission then 13 now 15 as I wrote a bad review, and removed my bulk support.
Its been three months now as they know that I left bad feedback I o no longer get any attention , what a way to run a business, karma is 200 fold, and looking forward to this one, rest assured I can only hope that other buyers and sellers get this message so they don't get screwed like it i did. my loss of over 500.00 to be exact 200+181+104 only have reviews on e two of these right now, raise=lost money flat out. "
"I tried purchasing some gift cards on this site for the first time. The first time I purchased some gift cards, they cancelled my order "due to some issues" with the gift cards." Then when I re-ordered the same gift cards the next day, they made me call them for"further verification". They then asked me for a lot of private information (beyond my address, phone number and credit card info). Made me seriously question whether this is a scam to get my private information. No other vendor has ever done that. I will never do business with this sketchy company."
"I bought 6 panera cards for an office party, which did not materialize so I didn't get a chance to use the cards right away. I went after 6 months and 6 different cards did not have any money left. They could care less for the customer after 100 day warranty passes by, and they don't let you contact the seller either so basically the customer is screwed...."
"I use Raise to save money at my favorite restaurants and stores. I've saved $300 so far this year, which I know because you can track it in the app's wallet. They have a guarantee that protects your purchase for 100 days, so I only buy cards I know I'll use. If there is a problem, I just call or chat with their customer service and they take care of it right away. "
"2 of the last 8 cards I have ordered have had issues. I am getting so frustrated as it costs me money when I account for the discount in my decision to purchase something. I just had a $325 Home Depot card not work so I had to pay cash which in the end cost me $30 of lost savings. Their customer service is terrible. "
"I purchased $200 PF Changs gift card and used some amount immediately while had some balance remaining. When I returned to PF chang's 6 months later, the balance disappeared and I ended up loosing the balance on the card. The customer service is horrible. They don;t really do anything to help but provide me with a $10 reward! I am never purchasing again from them and will pass on the work to my friends and family so everyone is aware of what they are getting into!"
"I am a mom who frequently uses RAISE on everyday purchases and have been purchasing cards here since 2013. I admit that I have saved money on many transactions, but Ive also lost money on some. What Ive come to conclude is that you should only buy cards if you plan to use them immediately. Otherwise you risk that the balance will disappear after the 100-day guarantee which, in my case, had happened to me over a dozen times. Just this weekend I went with my kids to buy some school uniforms at JCPenney only to discover that $400 of my gift cards had been used. It was over my 100-day purchase guarantee so AGAIN I am out the money, this time $400!!!! RAISE offerEd to do nothing to compensate!!! Also need to note that the merchandise credit cards are not replaceable (even before the 100 days) as it is against most store policies to sell merchandise credit. I had my wallet stolen and lost several cards including some Gymboree cards that, even with a police report and LOADS of phone calls, were never refunded or replaced. ONLY BUY THES CARDS IF YOU PLAN TO USE THEM IMMEDIATELY - AND ONLY BUY ONLY ECARDS THAT ARE SENT ELECTRONICALLY because they wont replace cads lost in the mail either. Ugh- Im out over $1,000 from using this company. So much for AVING money!"
"Beware: the company has no real security on any of your purchases. There was a fraudulent charge on my card, and I called the company within 5 min of seeing the charge, only to find out they do not give any sort of refunds. When I called Raise and spoke to their manager she was rude and disrespectful. They have no guarantee that the cards will work, and they will charge you for them anyways. After my phone call, my account was locked and before I can sign back in they wanted me to sign a new terms sheet, which would prevent me from taking legal action, thus I have lost access to my entire account, including the other purchases I had made previously. I am ashamed to know that Raise takes advantage of their customers. "
"I was mailed bad cards, the raise team immediately apologized and refunded my money. Great customer service."
"I ordered a $133 GIFT CARD for the Disney Store. I googled and researched that Disney store GIFT CARDS can be used at the theme parks (which is why I purchased it). Sure, the listing said "in store only" but it also listed it as a GIFT CARD. Based on the research that I had done, it would be absolutely accepted by all theme park locations. When I received the item, it was a MERCHANDISE CREDIT. I contacted support to see about a refund and they said no. They said that since it's a valid giftcard that they cannot return it... even though it was listed as a GIFT CARD and not a merchandise credit. This is incredibly misleading and I'm absolutely disappointed. I will NEVER use this site again and I will make sure NONE of my friends do, either. I literally just threw away $100+ and now I have no funds to use for my meals. Super disappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"I was a little weary of Raise at first because my first order had technical difficulties and was not working correctly. However, the customer service reps were super friendly and really stayed on the case to make sure everything got sorted out correctly and I was able to apply my Raise discount to the activity I was booking. In the end, I saved about $90 off of what I would've paid otherwise and it was a great deal! I will definitely be looking into using Raise again."
"Yesterday I received troubling news about a gift card I purchased from Raise. Today, a Raise Customer Service representative, Iman, talked to me about my problem. She worked through the issue thoroughly and logically. She was very polite and worked quickly. She told me what she was going to check on each step of the way. This is very nice so I can see potential progress with my issue. I couldn't be happier with the result and will continue to be a Raise customer."
