"I have ordered several items from Raise.com and have always been treated with respect. I have had no problems and fully trust this company with my money. Whereas I have had problems using other gift card sites, Raise is different. Raise makes certain I am satisfied, delivers immediately and truly cares about their customers. I highly recommend this site. A special thank you to Donny (Raise support) who helped me with an iTunes card I had purchased and in understanding how to use it. He and all the staff I have worked with at Raise are really superior professionals. Thank you Raise for being a top quality company. I am very pleased."
"AWFUL policies and customer service. I thought I'd try two $25 gift cards to see what type of company they were, and sure enough, I've been scammed out of my money. The gift cards were closed out by the company (Smashburger) and Raise would neither give me a refund in the amount I paid NOR the balance remaining. They say I will get a portion of my money back, however. Still, I WILL NOT be giving them any more of my business, and would not purchase any gift card higher than an amount you're willing to lose if the gift card is no good."
"Round #1: Ordered a Smashburger $200 gift card on Jan 26, said it was shipped out Jan 29. Waited 2 weeks, and around Feb 16 I called to ask where it was. Raise said it was never shipped and refunded me what I paid.
Round #2: Saw the same gift card for a bit cheaper so figured I'd give it another try.. Placed the order and this time the card actually came after about a week. I was excited when I finally got it in the mail - only to be terribly disappointed when I checked the balance and saw $0.00. WTF? Does Raise do any verification to make sure these cards have money on them?
Contacted Raise and was able to get a refund pretty easily, so at least they have good support. But now I no longer feel comfortable ordering from them due to dishonest sellers.. And the worst part is, I have no way of giving feedback about the seller so this cycle will continue and buyers won't be able to avoid the con artists.
TLDR: Raise needs a feedback rating system for sellers, as many of the sellers are either too lazy to ship the card or looking to rip you off somehow by shipping out a card with low or zero balance. Avoid Raise unless you're willing to deal with these risks!"
"I have bought several Kmart E-GC and some other E-GC in late 2014 and early 2015. I have never had any issues with all the GC I have received from them. The E-GC arrive right after I pay, and I always use those E-GC right away.
I think I have bought one or two TJ Maxx GC (physical GC) before 2014 from Raise.com and they arrived fine in a timely manner. Raise is my place to buy GC."
"I have bought cards from Raise from time to time but not run into any problems. Most have been restaurant gift cards, which are probably the "safest" type of card to buy. For those of you who have had trouble, I had GREAT success filing an online claim with the local BBB of the reseller (CardCash in this case) after they said "sorry, too bad" when THEY got scammed them passed it along to me as the buyer. I got a store credit with them, which I used already and will be sure to burn that card within their 45 day guarantee. I suspect lots of these resellers are making extra money on fraudulent cards, but you may have a second form of redress if you complain to the BBB (even after the warranty period--I was able to prove that the card could not have had any value at the time I purchased it, even though I didn't try to use it until after the guarantee period was up)."
"I ordered 4 Regal cinemas $25 cards from Raise.com. I tried to use ONE of them at Regal to watch a movie with my daughter. NO LUCK. They tried scanning it multiple times and entering code by hand, and they said it was an 'invalid gift card'. So Raise is either scamming people or someone is stealing the codes. The support is not much help, it looks like I'm going to have to refute the charges with CC company. What a waste of my time!!"
"Beware. Horrible customer service. Nobody ever answers the phone, and your voicemail will never get answered. They claim to have CHAT support, but nobody is ever on. If you don't believe me, try it out yourself. Their number is ***-***-****. Their email address is: ****@****. You will never get a response. They are selling gift cards that do not have the full face value that they are promising!"
"Beware. If you buy a "bad gift card" it can lead to an account shutdown. I bought some Starbucks gift cards, loaded them to my account, and a week later all the money was gone and my gold card was shut down. Even existing money on my gold card was gone.
Turns out the gift cards I purchased via Raise weren't "good" for whatever reason.
The takeaway is that you're buying "second-hand gift cards" on Raise so there's no guarantee they'll actually work. Good quality control right there.
Even worse, Starbucks will shut down your accounts in the process. Not sure it's worth saving a few bucks..."
"Of all the gift card brokers online, Raise probably has the best customer service. Having a real person to talk to, with minimal waiting period makes the shopping experience positive and site trustworthy.
Physical gift card delivery is of average speed, there is tracking. E-vouchers are within 30mins. "
"Buyers beware ! The raise.com requested me to give them my photo ID copy juts for a $500 value giftcard order,Of course I felt absolutely uncomfortable and denied it.I asked them why they insisted this, their answer is : this is the only thing they can accept.
So, I decided not to buy the $500 gift card from them. But....soon later I found out they suspended my account without noticing me at all , which means they probably do not really care if you can still shop on their website. Frankly speaking, this is truly the first time I 've heard an online website asked buyers with absolutely normal credit card charged by them all the time, to provide a photo id copy. Really ridiculous!! If you don't care about your personal ID security, then go ahead to give them your copy of photo ID just for few bucks savings through gift cards."
"Terrible experience! Bought some Walgreens cards from them but half of the cards had zero or incorrect balance. Still haven't had my refund back till today!"
"I ordered $500 worth of gift cards from Raise.com and didn't have any issues. They called me to verify my order since I was a new customer and placed a large order. As soon as I was off the phone, they emailed me my gift cards instantly.
I redeemed them all without any issues. I've never SOLD them any gift cards but BUYING from them I had no issues at all."
"Ordered what was supposed to be a physical gift card and they emailed one instead. This made me have to pay 6.99 in shipping and I could not use a manufacturer's coupon. Emails to them were never returned. Would not buy again. "
"The first couple of orders went ok, I was the seller and the gift cards were for $10. But after that I would have to email them to get my payment, and not only do they take a fee for taking your card, they charge a fee to pay you via paypal. A few of the other sites like this do not charge a fee to use Paypal. If you sell them a $25 card, you get barely nothing, and even after 7 days, you might not get paid. I submitted a Starbucks card, they had a ton listed at the time. They canceled my order and told me that they werent buying Starbucks cards at the time; very next day they listed a whole new lot of Starbucks cards. Then I listed a Zappos Card and they said please call, but they never emailed me, I had to log in to find out what happened to my listing. Then I received an email from customer service stating that they had a made a mistake and to go ahead and resubmit the info for the listing, which I did and they cancelled it again stating that they were not taking Zappos cards at the time. Horrible customer service, long time to get paid, no consistency"
"I've placed two orders with raise.com. First went okay. Second, terrible. I received all of 2/3 the amount on the gift card I ordered. Had to open a credit card dispute to get any satisfaction."
