" I have bought quite a few cards from Raise. It is a wonderful way to save money and the speed at which they process orders is fantastic. Today I had my first small glitch. I purchased a card for Target and when I attempted to use said card on Target.com it was coming back as a 0 balance. I called Raise Customer Service and spoke to a very nice representative named Jenny. Jenny very quickly did some investigating and found the problem. She immediately initiated a full refund and even offered $5 my next purchase to make up for any inconvenience. "Really curt and unpleasant customer care, took me 17 minutes to get to talk to someone in the cards verification department and boy was she in a hurry to cancel my order, I think the 3rd sentence was your order is cancelled, almost in a victorious tone. I used a JCB credit card which ofcourse expanded to Japanese, disregard the fact that its issued in the US by JCB's US undertaking and is accepted all over was ofcourse moot.
The agent 1st claimed I used a Japanese credit card, then she claimed she was seeing origin as Japan, then she told me card must be issued by a US bank to end the call. Hmm, so HSBC, Standard Chartered etc. should perhaps stop doing business in the US as merchants like raise would put arbitrary conditions. Even more curious was that someone in cards verification didnt know what JCB was. The funnier thing is that their payment processor had correctly processed my card. So much for we only accept Visa, MC and Amex.
In all this madness, I had $5 raise rewards which seems to have been lost, the site shows its sent back to my JCB card but I dont see the credit yet. Ofcourse multiple emails around the rewards being stolen have also been left ignored.
Not to worry, I will share this review everywhere.

As a consumer, I really appreciate the discounted gift cards offered by Raise, but as a customer, their quality service makes you feel like a VIP.
