"I love your service and your website!"
"I am a steady customer of Raise.com because they are consistently extremely fast to process my -buy gift card- order. When I purchase a gift card (more likely -gift cards-) from them, I am typically in a hurry to use the gift cards within an hour or less. Let me say that they have never failed to meet my expectations. I have tried quite a few other -buy gift card- vendors, but Raise has become my go-to. Why? They do not disappoint. Raise Rocks!!!"
"Had a problem with a card I bought from Raise and the retailer froze the card. Contacted Raise and they promptly processed a refund. Couldn't ask for better customer service! "
"A good place to buy discounted gift cards. They're a bit paranoid, though. They suspended my wife's account because she logged in using an IP that was from a different geographical location. And when I tried to change my account email, I couldn't do it through the website, I had to call their customer support and wait on hold for 10 minutes before having them change my email. So it's a good service overall, but it has some annoying quirks.
A few times the cards we got were either invalid or had $0 on them. But this is to be expected every once in a while because Raise doesn't do the selling themselves, instead it's many private sellers, so sometimes a bad card passes all the checks prior to the sale. But the Raise customer service resolved all the problems very quickly for me, so no complaints there.
The shipping speed is also variable. Sometimes the cards ship and arrive very quickly, other times they take their time. This also depends on private sellers, so it's mostly acceptible."
"This was my first and last order with Raise. I purchased a KFC gift card on 21 April 15. I received an email on the 22nd saying it shipped. I waited for days. I have to go out of my way to check my mail too, so it was a hassle day after day when it didn't arrive. I emailed customer support on 2 May saying it hadn't arrived. I was told they would contact the shipper, but I had to wait until at least the 5th before they would give a refund. Where on earth could mail possibly be coming from to take 14 days to get to me? Certainly not the US.
May 5th came and went, so I emailed again and asked for my refund. Finally on the 7th it arrived. It was postmarked 5 May, 13 days after I received an email saying it was shipped and 4 days after they said they contacted the shipper again! I got an apology from customer service for the delay, but nothing else. I feel I should have gotten a coupon or discount for the poor transaction.
During my emails with customer service, I discovered that Raise doesn't actually have the gift cards they sell. Random people contact Raise with gift cards they want to unload, Raise lists them for sale, and when they sell, Raise contacts said random person with shipping instructions. So my name and address were given to a totally unknown person with probably no vetting process whatsoever. I know for a fact that not all gift card resellers operate this way. Cardpool has sellers mail in physical gift cards to them or provide codes for online gift cards. This is a much safer and more reliable way of doing business. I wouldn't have had to wait two and a half weeks for my card if Raise operated more professionally."
"Poor experience and will not use Raise again. I purchased a $200 gift card for $120 (should've been my first clue.. "Too good to be true").
I went to use it a couple of days later only to discover I paid $120 for a gift card with ZERO balance.
It was a hassle getting this remedied.. The $120 was finally credited back today.
For the inconvience, I was offered $5 off my next purchase of more than $50.
How grossly condescending. Keep your $5 and do what you need to simply not sell people garbage."
"This merchant has running business with no gift card and refund scheme, especially buying gift card with promo code. It's happened to me many times as I bought gift card from this merchant with promo code [take5]."
"I have used raise to purchase my egift cards for a year now. I can not say good enough to Raise. It is a trustworthy company. I never had any problem of using my cards. They usually deliver in a few minutes. Last time I made a very big purchase($1500) to catch Home depot final sale, I ordered at midnight, they delivered in the coming morning, I missed the sale. I contacted the customer service, they helped me re-list the cards. A few days later, the cards sold, Raise gave me the full refund. I really appreciated their service. They do care about their customers. Now I have more confidence to make big purchase from Raise. I feel like I am using Amazon, or shopping at walmart. Raise has a great customer service team back end. I am glad I found Raise to save the money with ease. "
"I ordered a $300.00 gift card as my first order. They called me to verify my credit card information and ther asked me for my birth date. I did not see the need for them to have this type of information and therefore I decided to cancel the order. Thus is the first time that I have been asked to provide my date of birth as part of my credit verification. Will cancel my account with them and will never order anything from them!"
"Noah, the raise member services, helped me quickly. I have purchased a staple e gift card/voucher night before. I could not apply the value at staples.com next morning. Called Raise.com for help. He called staples for me, found the pin number was causing the issue, replaced my gift card right away! I was able to finish ordering my office supplies online thanks to him. Excellent member services! "
"First time user. Legit service. I purchased three gift cards that combined equaled the dollar amount I needed for a large purchase on Sears.com. I redeemed them all in one transaction (limits liability) within 30 minutes of purchasing the gift cards. Quick and easy. It saved me 9% on top of the 30% off sale, plus I earned points. No brainer. Raise.com is based in Chicago."
"I ordered (4) iTunes cards and then received an email saying that I had to be verified. This consisted of answering 4 questions, almost like credit verification. This made me feel very nervous like I was being scammed. Good thing I have Life Lock!! In the end I did get my cards and they were successfully redeemed in iTunes. Still have bad feeling though."
"I recently purchased a gift card to be given to my grandson's upcoming birthday. I misplaced the card, panicked, looked everywhere, then called customer service. Tiffani was so pleasant, understanding and willing to help me. she worked her magic, I was able to reprint the card and am so happy with your company and your employees!! Thank you Tiffani."
"I bought $100 Starbucks card; used it for a couple of months and then one day when I tried to use it, it was denied. I didn't feel like I have used up all $100 that quickly, then I went online and checked all the transactions. There was an unknown $50 redemption taken previous day. That sure is spooky. Who could possibly know the pin to withdraw the amount? Raise did refund it without any question so that also makes me wonder if they knew that this incident is normal? It's good in a way but very irritating trying to convince person at the counter that there is no way the balance is low. Anyway, since then I decided not to buy gift card from Raise anymore. "
"Spoke with Tiffani on live chat twice and she had great customer service! I had quite a bit of questions since I'm a first time customer but Tiffani was patient with me and answered everything! :D She was able to help me with my order and everything went lovely. GREAT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! Wonderful experience! Would love to order from raise again in the future! :) Also had to verify my account and there was hardly any wait time and the gentleman on the line was also great! Wonderful people here :) (Raise actually did not ask me to write this review, I actually asked if there was anywhere I could express my happiness with this company!)"
