"The product was easy to assemble, although using the provided wrench did not allow me to crush the white nylon spacers as described in your instructions. i had to use a ratchet to get enough torque. Outside of that the product is very well made and I expect to use it for a very long time."

Assembly of the unit, while not a 15 minute process, was no problem--the instructions were clear, everything required for assembly was included, assembly was straightforward and intuitive and everything went together with no problem.

The reel is outstanding--well-designed, rugged and user-friendly. It's a complete contrast with the several reels it replaced. Those reels (which weren't inexpensive) rusted, leaked, moved around, didn't unwind or wind smoothly and didn't last. The Rapid Reel is a solid piece of equipment that performs as promised. It is easy to use, doesn't leak, delivers a good stream of water and looks as if it will out-live me. The lock is a nice touch and is helpful."

"Outstanding experience. They were backordered, but the shipment was delayed only a week. I would give the shipment packing a rating of 10 out of 10—as good as anything I've ever seen—minimal waste and everything was recyclable. Assembly took a bit longer than I expected, but understandable given the incredible construction of the hose reel. I would fully expect it to last well beyond the 10 year warranty period versus 1 to 2 years max on even the best plastic reels I have purchased at hardware store. Best of all, the reel rotates almost effortlessly—in fact they put a brake on the reel just to keep it from unraveling on its own."

"The Reel is extremely well made. Brass fittings, stainless steel mounting hardware, aluminum cast reel. The instructions are well illustrated. Only had two issues. One with not really having anything noting that the nylon bushings were a part. Had to search to determine that they were not just shipping items. The other is that the 150 ft hose, yes does fit on the reel, but you have to be very careful to evenly wrap the hose, or it will be too big and jam the reel. As a gardener, I am used to rolling up a long hose quickly, I was disappointed that I have to be so careful with the hose."

"I purchased the Rapid Reel for my backyard because I love the one in my front yard. The delivery was prompt and assembly was easy after watching the video. The reel for my rear yard is not on a cart like the one in front so rewinding it at my age, 75, was difficult until I built a 10" platform to support the reel. I am completely satisfied with the result and performance of the reel, which will be the last I ever have to buy."

"Overall, I love the quality of the product, and am delighted that it is made in the USA...not another piece of Made in China junk!! However, I was somewhat disappointed in the claim that the standard hose reel has a 150 foot hose capacity. While this may be technically true, I can tell you that it is not easy to wind 150 feet of hose onto the reel, unless it is a "perfect" wind. Usually what happens is that the hose doesn't wind perfectly, and the hose gets "stuck" between the reel and the bracket. The only solution was to buy the hose reel extender...extra cost, AND EXTRA SHIPPING COST....very annoying!!!"
