"I purchased running boards from RealTruck about a month ago and this is the experience I’ve had since. I received the running boards in the typical amount of time you would expect with how shipping is right now so no complaints there. What happened after this is when it gets extremely frustrating. On review of the outside packaging, it looked as if this box had been tossed around in the back of the delivery vehicle on its way here. When I unboxed, several metal parts were out of the packaging and or wrapped in open plastic as these metal parts could freely hit each other and it was evident that this had happened as the brackets had multiple chips/scratches on them exposing bare metal which doesn’t work in Wisconsin thanks to our winters. Once I started examining the running boards themselves, I noticed first off, the Styrofoam packaging had multiple holes in it allowing the running boards to shift freely and or hit the ends of the boxes which had holes in them. The black running boards had a dent in the one end and multiple scratches throughout. I was still considering keeping them just to avoid wasting my time in trying to return these. I read the instructions and began laying out the brackets exactly as it was shown in the pictures/verbiage on how to install these running boards. Some of the screws/nuts/washers seemed to maybe have been used before? Was hard to tell but I was able to make it work. After I had loosely assembled all the parts per the instructions, I began putting the brackets on the vehicle to make sure they all fit and lined up with the mounts on the vehicle properly. They did not, the driver side bracket is the only one incorrect the rest fit perfectly. So, I figured they sent me the wrong bracket. I tried calling customer support and was unable to reach anyone. I have not been called back and I also tried the automated online messaging system which was no help. So, I had to waste my time disassembling all the parts and placing them back in the packaging. I decided I wanted to return them as at this point, I’m frustrated and the brackets didn’t line up with the vehicle after it was verified that they did via the online tool that their website uses, and I was paying $650.00+ for damaged running boards. I figured how hard can the return process be…. Well, it’s the worst I’ve had to deal with in 15+ years of ordering aftermarket parts. I used to have European vehicles so frequently went to ECS tuning who does it correctly. I requested a return prior to June 30th from RealTruck and the only contact I’ve received was an automatically generated email with instructions on sending pictures and a description which I sent that day. I have not received any type of contact or instructions on how to return these running boards and it’s been 19 days. I’ve tried emailing, reaching out via the messaging system, and calling (which always has a wait time of 20+ minutes). I’m starting to think I have been scammed into purchasing used running boards that I cannot return. I would not recommend ordering anything from RealTruck as they clearly don’t back their products or have the customer service personnel to assist their clients. I just want to exchange these running boards for a different brand/type as I need these to help a family member get into my truck. "
"I ordered a tonneau cover for my new Honda Ridgeline truck. The first box received was missing the necessary parts to mount to my Ridgeline. Customer Service sent another tonneau cover box. Just like the first, the box was damaged/opened on both ends and was missing the Ridgeline required mounting items. After suffering a two inch cut on my thumb preparing the second box to be returned, I learned they were not going to send a third box. Instead I turned to the manufacturer of the tonneau cover. The third box contained some of the missing parts but not the mounting hardware. I'm currently waiting for somebody to get back to me about my still missing parts. So far, it's been a week of frustration."
