"I have to say that in the end I was very impressed with Big Box Superstore. My initial reaction was very favorable when dealing with Joe in customer service when I placed my order. There was a bit of a hang-up when the tv was delivered with dead pixels, but in the end, Joe came through. He stuck to his word and honored the guarantee he had made when we first spoke. Samsung was unwilling to deal with the TV and put the blame on Big Box; Big Box stepped up to the plate and took responsibility so that I didn't end up out in the cold. It's hard to be a consumer stuck between a re-seller and a brand and although the journey was frustrating, I will give Big Box the credit they deserve for doing the right thing - that's the reason for the 5 star rating. "Ordered a 75" Samsung TV which shipped four days from date of order which included a weekend. The TV arrived damaged (cracked screen)- 'it' happens when shopping online. First they offered me a refund but I refused so they picked it up and dropped off a new one last week without a hassle. The replacement works fine and seems to be brand new. Moral of the story: Pay the $184 insurance fee for shipping if you intend to make a big box high priced purchase online. It's worth it and they DO disclose it on their web site.
Now with that said, they have NOT shipped my wall mount or HDMI cable yet so I can't use the TV.
Bottomline, I buy a lot of merchandise online and will say they answer the phone every time I call and have been nothing less than professional. I feel I got my money's worth IF I receive my wall mount & HDMI cable.
They promised it shipped out on Monday Dec 23. Stay tuned for an update........"
"BigBox only pointed me to this site, but I offered to write this so cunsumers get a good idea of what they're getting into with this company.
1.) Returns: The customer support may seem sketch, they don't offer names, and the main manager is sometimes hard to get a-hold of. In their defense, my problems with returning a tv and getting a refund was indeed solved, and I received every penny of what I was owed!
2.) Price: Stellar!
3.) Product Condition: 55in" samsung led 8000bf was in 100% brand new condition and works great. The free Hdmi cable was nice too."
"I just read all the five out of five star reviews for Bigbox TV Stores and all I can say is a hundred stars. I ordered the Samsung 60 inch 8000 series a month ago (before black Friday etc.) because I needed to have it delivered as a surprise on my son's birthday December 17th. The TV was so well reviewed on CNET and all the good sites that I was afraid that it would sell out, and the price at BIgbox was so much lower ($1924) than any place else that I bought the TV early. Eric at BB was super helpful, recommending (free white glove delivery) and charged $220 for shipping insurance. The delivery company came four minutes before the estimated time on the right day, and in busy NYC just before Christmas. The TV installer came just after TV was delivered, and all went well. We turned it on and saw a great picture, BUT a smashed place on the bottom of the screen. I phoned Bigbox and spoke to Eric, my heart in my stomach. It was 6:30 on Tuesday December 17th. He immediately scheduled FedEx to pick up the broken TV Wednesday, and to deliver the new one asap. He thought that the delivery might have to be delayed until after xmas. But it came Saturday the 21st, is gorgeous and perfect.
So you see why Bigbox has five out of five stars, even when there is a problem, they make it right. They did NOT ask me to wrote this review!!!!"
