"My hood lift support for my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee didn't hold the hood up when I would need to check the engine oil or the other fluids under the hood ( I had to use a small board to hold the hood up). I asked the people that worked on my jeep about replacing the lift support and they would laugh and say do you know how much it cost to replace it? Then they would get there vice grips out and clamp onto the strut of the old support. I was watching TV one evening and saw an advertisment for Rockauto.com. I got my laptop and in no time I was looking at a lift support for my jeep that cost $7.98 compared to the $60.00 in our local parts stores. I went out and checked the numbers on the support that was still on the Jeep and they matched and I went back in the house and ordered the part right away and within 4 days it was on the jeep and working just fine. The ording was very easy and I had no problem finding what I was looking for and placing the order and in 3 days the part was in my hand and the next day I put it on my Jeep.
