"Sure their prices are good but they make up for it by screwing you on shipping. I paid $9 to expedite a small belt tensioner (about half a pound). They promised, at the time of ordering, that the part would be to me by Friday. Well, after sitting on their dock for 2 days, they finally called DHL to pick it up on Friday making it impossible to meet the promised date. Only then did I find out that the lightning fast DHL “Domestic Express” would take 4 days to get from Houston to Colorado. Frankly, I could probably push my disabled car faster than that. Shame on you too, DHL, for participating in this scam.
It’s no wonder Rock Auto dropped their customer service line. They were probably inundated with complaint calls. Heck, I see they have over 80% of one star ratings and it is no surprise. "
"Just this past Wed. I needed a fuel pump for my 2011 Kia Sorento. I ordered it at 3:00PM on 4/10/2019 and it was here on 4/11/2019 at 4:00PM Now I paid the extra $22.00 dollars for DHL shipping. I also ordered the cheapest pump they had and it looked exactly like the factory one. I was very satisfied. I have ordered from Rock Auto or at least 8 years and have always had positive experiences. And also saved money always. Some of these bad reviews I don't understand unless they are ordering the wrong parts."
"I fix all my own vehicles. Jeep. Ford. Toyota. Buick. From 1993 to 2012 models. Rock Auto ALWAYS has a myriad of parts choices at the LOWEST prices I can find. Never have I received a wrong part. I know it might be possible to get a wrong part... but me thinks it is likely a PEBKAC error. (Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair). And 9 times out of 10, I get the parts in around 2-3 days, even though I choose the cheapest shipping."

When I went through all their Q&A for the return they said it was not my fault or thier fault because the manufacturer said it was right. So for that they would only refund half the shipping. "Hands down the worst web based company experience I have ever had. This was a simple order for a set of brake pads. There was a mistake on the address when I entered my info. I forgot the suite number. You'd think that wouldn't be a huge issue. Two weeks later and I still have no pads and no refund. I have spent about an hours time now on the phone with Fed-Ex. I'd call Rock Auto but they do not take phone calls. Nor will they have a human call you back. I had asked 4 times for a supervisor to call me and all they kept saying was you need to take this up with Fed-Ex. Fed-Ex has repeatedly told me the shipper needs to call into Fed-Ex and make the change, I cannot. After asking for a supervisor to call me for a 3rd time, they closed out my ticket and will not respond. Now I am out the money and the pads. Complete BS and I will never use these guys again. I would recommend you don't either. If you have a problem, there is no real way for you to get in touch with these people. If they feel your not worth their time, they will just close your ticket out and not respond. Horrible customer care!!"
"I've been a customer of this company for almost 20 years and it's not bad while everything goes fine. But once you run into a problem they'll treat you as dirt not willing to check anything or listen even if the problem is clearly their fault.

"To be honest, I’m extremely disappointed with this website. As a young single female with no knowledge about cars or car parts I was excited to find this website as it was cheaper than the body shop I had planned to take my car too.
The pictures and lack of wording are deceiving to those with little knowledge about vehicles. The picture of the headlight is the same as the one I needed replaced, and is the left side if you are facing the car. However it is actually the right side headlight that I need.
Now I have spent the extra $75 at the body shop as today was my appointment on my only day off this week and am still out another $12 for return shipping.
I am severely disheartened and will never return to this website again. "

I contacted RockAuto describing what I was searching for, and they replied with some non-helpful generic message telling me to look through their parts list. I then contacted CARID by phone and they located the part I needed while I was talking to them, and had it sent in two days. Won't ever be buying anything from RockAuto. "
"I ordered Wix oil filters from their directory of oil filters. The part number identified the OEM as Wix and the part number the very same as the original manufacturers. The price was unbelievably low so I ordered these filters. They came surprisingly quick. When I looked at the filters they are knockoff of the OEM by Ultra Power. Who the heck ever heard of these guys. When you try to find how to return them you have to pay the shipping charges back to them and they only credit you for the filters. "We order parts for my 2007 ford f259 super duty xl, cheap prices, actually bests prices around. We paid $33.99 for Domestic express shipping and handling. Order on a Tuesday scheduled to arrive by Thursday. Well nothing come Thursday. Then we call dhl on Friday that crazy woman said our parts from the United States was held in customs (dumba $$). Needless to say it arrived todat boxes all busted up but all my parts intact. So i emailed them wanting my shipping and handling back they said we will give you $20 back for shippinh on your refunded item#moe193 since thats what you paid.
