"i oredered a bumper for a 2002 ram 2500 using ther prodouct number . they sent a bumper to fit a 2002 ram 1500 . different body styles. attempting to set up a return it said it was not returnable and thats it . they screw up with there prodouct numbers and i get screwed and cant speak to anyone to rectify problem . "Parts were affordable and easy to order. However the parts did not arrive anywhere near the estimated delivery date. In fact I’m still waiting on some parts that were estimated to arrive 10 days ago. The website for reporting issues appear easy to use but it was confusing and not much help from customer service. I reached out via email finally and got zero sense of urgency from the customer service staff. I reported the parts as not delivered yet and followed up with an email and continue to get no sense of urgency l. I filed another report today in hopes of tracking the parts down. I realize some of this may be on the carrier but as the customer I expect a new part shipped out while they dig into the problem. I expect some sense of urgency. I’ve laid for the parts and want them delivered timely or at least within reason. When your waiting to fix a veichle... 10 or more days beyond the estimated arrival is not acceptable."
"After hitting a pot hole and messing up wheel I needed a single new rim. When Kijiji & the local auto wreckers didn't have any, I turned to rockauto.com and it ended up being delivered days before the quoted date! Fit like a glove, extremely good pricing (I'm in Canada, and even with the exchange rate & shipping included it was still cheaper than any other stores (Even ones offering free shipping). Will definitely be back in the future. If you are knowledgeable enough to know what you're looking for it's an amazing company!"

"I am done with Rock Auto. I like Rock Auto but hate Fed Ex. They insisted they delivered my package when thy did not. I am retired, I was home when the notification came in at 3:32 on the computer that my package was here. FedEx insists it was delivered to my address. Since there is only one street with that name in this town, I asked how that was possible. The shipper (RockAuto) did not include my apt #. And that is why my package was delivered to ***bargraves and not Apt A ***bargraves. There is no *** bargraves, only ***bargraves Apt A. How freaking amazing is that. But NOooooooo. It was delivered to the correct address they insist. Well,,,,,,it's not on my roof so where did your driver deliver it??? They delivered it to ***Bargraves.. I tell this story to warn you folks that if you chose to do business with RockAuto then you are stuck with FedEx. AND........I tried to contact RockAuto and guess what??? You can't get a live person to save your life. WHY should we as consumers be treated like we're lying, and then you can't do Jack squat about it except **** on some re seller ratings site. "I would never recommend purchasing from this company. I ordered "new" parts for my wife's van and the parts that did arrive (late) were used and covered in grease/road debris. Company is impossible to get returns from. However, they're very useful in a sense that their parts database is pretty thorough. So I now find the parts I need from their website, grab the part number and throw it in google or amazon and ta-da! "

"I received an incorrect fuel regulator even after I detailed what I needed. I told them what was wrong and why and they shipped the exact same wrong part a second time. Now I get punished by having to pay return shipping since I now wanted my money back instead of gambling again on their incompetence.

"Purchased 2 ignition coils a couple of weeks ago. They sent me 1 (New) in a sealed bag and the other in a dirty ripped opened plastic bag, the part was dirty and looked like it was used. This is totally unacceptable. Not knowing if the part was actually good or faulty at this point. I have been trying to get in contact with someone since. I tried the robot services that is supposed to call and wait until someone answers the phone (No Luck) .Still waiting for some kind of customer services to respond. In fact this strategy by Rockauto by not having any kind of customer services is totally disrespectful to customers. There is other places that sell everything RockAuto sells (Amazon) with excellent customer services and return policies.
Whoever put that dirty part in for shipping should be fired.

"They do not offer live Customer Service! Issues delt with online, only!! Which is a big red flag to me! I paid almost 150 in shipping and handling to be told that they couldn't deliver to my home. Had to meet the driver!! Had missing parts!! Trying to navigate through the website to report an issue!! Which is horrible! I saw the parts elsewhere but, trying to save money caused me the biggest headache! "
"I bought a 2008 Honda Accord LX-s for $2000 in very good condition, with the exception of the brakes and tires. I had Walmart do the tires because of the best price and decided this car was going to be my project car. I've done simple maintenance on all my vehicles, oil changes, filter changes, brake pads, etc., but never changed components. I knew I needed to change the front rotors at the very least, but RockAuto had a deal for all 4 rotors, all 4 brake calipers with their brackets, and all the pads for only $400 with shipping (after applying a coupon code I found from a quick Google search) so I bought it. The parts came in within a week, and I got to work. After changing them I realized calipers are eligible for a core return at most stores, and RockAuto is no exception. All I had to do was navigate to my order on their site, print off the shipping label they gave me for $10 off of my refund, put all the old parts into the boxes the new ones came in, put them back in the shipping box from the new parts, put the label on the outside and the list on the inside and drop it off at the nearest FedEx. A week later they emailed me to say my $107 refund will be posted to my card I paid from within 3-5 days. This means after everything I paid $293 for all 4 rotors, brakes, and pads. Cannot recommend this site enough, by far the best experience I've had with an auto parts store, and it's online. "
"Rock auto website offers both Raybestos (expensive) and Sunsong (Cheaper) brake lines for my car (a 1972 Dodge Polara 7.2 litre 440cid). I ordered 2 Front RAYBESTOS lines part# RAY BH35017 at $12.41 each and one Raybestos rear line part# RAY BH36651 at $14.51. I was sent Raybestos boxes with the cheaper Sunsong parts in them.
In the Raybestos boxes were 2 Sunsong front lines part# 2203025 at $8.20 each and one Sunsong rear part# 2201276 at $6.24. Nearly half price on the parts I was charged for. I consider this total FRAUD!
They advertise Raybestos at a higher price and send the Sunsong cheaper parts in the box! Further more the boxes arrived with their address listed as "Rock Auto Returns Dept" so I have to assume this has been an issue before and they are aware of it.
RockAuto does NOT offer customer service by phone...I have received no return emails and the returns page is a disaster! The only recourse offered by Rock Auto is to "SELF INSTRUCT" a return and PAY THE RETURN SHIPPING...this is unacceptable...
A negative feedback is on file with the Better Business Bureau and Federal Trade Commission.

It will tell you item 1 is coming from location “A”. And maybe the other two are coming from location “B”.
Pick a different part of the same style eg. part “A” is a spark plug. Add one of a few different brands until one of them says it is coming from location “B” that way you should save on shipping if they all come from location “B” right?
Wrong.
Delete all the extra spark plugs that aren’t from “B” and magically watch as one of the three items jumps to a different location.
The checkout is rigged to add extra shipping charges no matter what. Fraudulent? Not sure but it sure as heck isn’t right. Shame!"
