"I have ordered several times from Rock Auto and have had no complaints. It's simple people. Cross reference the parts you have found kn Rock Auto with other part suppliers online. Do your due diligence! If the part you find on Rock Auto can't be cross referenced with another part in the part suppliers world, don't buy it! If I can't compare, I walk away from that sight. I need to be confident with my research and selection. Yes, I have bought from other auto parts suppliers online. Some other companies can be very competitive. Sometimes it's a time crunch and I need it now without the shipping costs. It's about what works for you. Be a smart shopper and use your resources. Don't just go for the first good thing your hear or see because it will probably disappoint you. Everybody should know you should keep your receipts and shipping containers till you have completed your findings on the part you order or buy anywhere. True, things due happen. We are people and make mistakes but learn from them. Do better. "

"I purchased a windshield washer pump and two set of spark plugs from them. The washer pump was way cheaper then any other place... BUT.... it died after just two trials.. The spark plugs were good BUT the price was comparable to other places... Conclusion.. When things look to good to be true... They are...I think Rockauto should not be as aggressive on their prices trying to beat anyone around as they end sacrificing the quality of the parts they sell not talking about the total absence of customer care and phone contact.. Please Rockauto only sell brand new proven parts and not what looks like "brand new defective parts" probably rejected by manufacture and relabeled as a "wholesaler closeout" item with a very short 30 days warranty, the pump I got was sold at 8.03$ and the exact same one with regular 2 years manufacture warranty for 31.04$! Both sold by Rockauto... Please don't tell me both are exactly the same when my cheap one died just after two trials... Again I insist, I am even OK that a company could sell defective damaged part etc... But PLEASE, don't refer those parts as "brand new" as it would imply same quality as the exact other one that you sell with full manufacture warranty.. Your very limited 30 days policy means very probably that something might be very wrong with your "wholesaler closeout" items, sadly I learnt it the hard way..."

"Rockauto may have the parts, but they do not accept returns. And they dont lable the part to make sure it fits or not for the consumer to actually read. Do not buy from them. You’d be better off going to the junk yard. If you buy from them there is a 1/3 chance they will steal from you. "
"Finally got bumper on 3rd attempt ,it arrived after hours so I couldn't check it ,when I did it had one broken bracket and one totally missing I did the whole pic. Taking and the whole hoop jumping you now ( the doing someone's job for them ) then they tell me via email that my ticket has been closed whatever the hell that means , so I guess I'm stuck with it, and blamed it of course on the shipper,,I suppose they needed that bracket of that bumper"

"I ordered Ranch front shocks RS999931 and RS999923 for 2007 Sequoia. The labels on the outside of the boxes I recieved matched what I ordered. However, both boxes contained a different part RS999795 which don't fit my vehicle.
I would have understood if the wrong part was shipped if it matched the box label they were in. But when the part inside the box doesn't match the label on the outside of the box it is very difficult to believe it was a simple goof up. Not sure if the actual blame goes on Rancho or RockAuto. The result is I don't have the parts, my money is **** for at least a week waiting for RockAuto to refund.
Additionally, the parts came with a rebate if bought before a certain date. Unfortunately by the time I return these and get my refund ( RockAuto refund is about 3 days after the items are shipped back and inspected) it will be too late to qualify for the rebate. That means a loss of $50 rebate. This experience has been an eye opener about what can go wrong when buying from RockAuto.

"Ordered a catalytic converter from them and not only were the welds defective the product actually cost me another O2 sensor. Since there is no way of contacting RockAuto and this happen 90 day's after purchase their online customer service wants me to buy another as a replacement. No Thanks already cost me $200 for 1 O2 sensor not going for another."

"RockAuto sold me a defective part, made me pay to return it and then would not refund my money. The part was listed as an exact fit for my vehicle. When I tried to install it it did not fit and they would not refund my money. Went to AutoZone and paid a little more but the part fit. You get what you pay for!"
"I ordered a part that was on my rover wit the part number it worked for 3 days and malfunctioned, I filled out a return and they said it was for a 99 to 02 rover, I told them 99 to 02 also goes on 03 and 04, mines an 04, and they closed the ticket after a few replys, and I can't even email them no more. $134 on a maf sensor for nothing. I wish I read these reviews. "

"Their best priced water pump listing for my Jeep did not specify if a gasket was included while the more expensive ones say "gasket included." What else could I assume but the gasket was not included in my water pump since it did not say so. I ordered a separate gasket from them for nothing because the water pump came with a gasket anyways. The cost to return it for a refund is as much as the gasket costs. This was their fault for not providing adequate info.
