"Purchased a pair of Monroe shock absorbers. They were received on the scheduled delivery date. One of the two was minus a pack of the nut, washer and rubber bushings. Filled out the online parts problem report only to find out that RockAuto.com has the manufacturer send out the missing parts instead of they themselves pulling the part from inventory to resolve the issue. So simple to fix but the part never came.
The only way to contact RockAuto is by email. Trust me, you don't want to go down that road. No Customer Service telephone number is available. The flunkeys replying to the service requests are apparently dumber than a bag hammers. They can't even spell your name correctly when replying, even though it is printed right in front of their eyes.
The BBB lists Mr. James A. Taylor* as President and Ms. Jessa Torvik* as Marketing Manager, with an address of 6418 Normandy Ln , Madison, WI 53719-1149. According to the BBB, RockAuto had 617 complaints in last 3 years according to the BBB website. Unbelievable..
Maybe someone* at RockAuto will get off their **** and send out the parts, but I doubt it. It's all about volume, not customer satisfaction. Great way to do business.
Stay away! Shop anywhere else but RockAuto if you value your time or money!

"In May I purchase a rear wheel caliper/brake pads and rotor from RockAuto with the understanding there is about a $40 refund on the caliper core once returned. I did the job on my `98 Trooper and all was well. Last week I went to return the caliper by crossing the border into WA state from Canada to ship out the core. I had not been able to purchase a RockAuto shipping label on their website. The US postal service was charging me $20 to ship the core. I found it exorbitant and returned home with the core.
At this point I contacted RockAuto to find out what the scoop was. It turned out to be a very sweet to Trump kind of scam to screw Canadians. The long and sort of it is, if your billing address on your purchasing credit card is Canadian, you are **** out of luck in purchasing a RockAuto shipping label at their $6.10 rate. Even if your ship to address was in the USA as mine was.
This is the order number at RockAuto, 83886601 and the core was a CENTRIC part. The part ad shipped out to me on May 2, 2018"

"I have had multiple part failures from different orders all within a few months of purchase. They have sent wrong parts and when I tried to work with them to exchange for the wrong parts they would close the tickets and no longer help me if not just blatantly ignore me.
Most recently I had a part failure that led to critical interior engine damage forcing me to replace the motor in my truck. They have done nothing to assist, have ignored me and when I requested the legal documentation for the warranty coverage they gave me the brief description and then ignored me.
I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. I now have use of a commercial account at the local parts distribution stores and the prices beat rockauto without even trying and I know they honor their warranties.
DO NOT use rockauto, let my problems be your lessons!!! Parts from them that cost less then $20 have now cost me thousands!!"

"If u buy their part, don’t worry if it has a warranty because rock auto will not honor it. I bought a complete A/C set, which is required for the compressor warranty. They tell me all parts have to be changed, so they give me a warranty. I told them to look at my order, every thing was there for the warranty, so they just ignore me now. "I got my package and I ordered a power steering line fpor a 2002 buick century party number 371050. amd on the e-,ailed order form stated the same, Imnead they sent me a gas cap, n phone number for human contact anymore. Only e-mail. They claim it was a online glitch and that I actually ordered a gas cap. I have a copy of the online orderwhich clearly states power steering line. I did some checking and found rock posted the wrong prices for the power steering hose, and they raised the price from $10.23 to $25.80. so their mistake and they even claimed the refunded my moner for the poart, shipping and taxes. Why not do the right thing that 99.9% of the business's do and honor order and ship it. I file BBB. FTC, and file complaints thru Ohio's AG office along with the CFPB. what Rock did is wrong. and I have a email list of them trying to lie and spin tier mistake. I don't need nor did I order a gas cap. Very Very poor and dishonest customer service."

"I purchased a pair of rotors and disc brake pads from Rockauto.com. I had my mechanic install the a couple weeks later. After a couple weeks the brakes started squeeling and producing a huge amount of brake dust, even though the pads are "supposed" to be ceramic. I returned to my mechanic to try to figure out why. He told me I was sent the wrong rotors, the opening around the lug nut studs are too large, the rotor can be turned approx. 1/4" making them grab and make loud noises when I stop. I was told that this could cause the rotors to sheer off the lug nut studs and I could have a bad wreck due to this. I tried to call the customer service #, left a message as instructed ON THE VOICE MAIL SYSTEM. Soon after I got a emailed reply stating that there isn't anyone to speak with, and I must file a return on their website. When I did, they replied telling me they offer no exchange or refund, even though they sold me the wrong parts. After I corrected them on that, there next reply was a LIST of things they wanted me to send, most of which are impossible to do, and if I cannot send them EVERYTHING ON THEIR LIST, they couldn't do anything. They wanted the #'s off THE ORIGINAL ROTORS, which were gone a long time ago, { do you save your "old parts"}??? They also wanted PICTURES showing the difference, {even though it would be impossible to see the size difference without measuring them} knowing the old parts are gone. I was told they would get back with me after doing an "investigation" but they cannot complete it unless I do EVERYTHING ON THEIR LIST.i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THESE SCAM ARTISTS TO ANYONE!"
" Paid for the parts. They were delivered someplace else. when I requested a refund they told me to file a false police report saying they were stolen and wanted me to file a claim through my insurance company. Took me to call the Better Business Bureau to get my money back and I still haven’t gotten it a month later. Then someone used my credit card to order $100 worth of Moe’s and there the only ones i used this card for seeing it is a new card. Sad really this business has a reason you can’t speak to anyone directly. They are a scam! Yes they have parts but if u only get half of what you order and don’t get a return and you have fraudulent charges on your credit card. I will never order from these people again.
