Defective parts

"To start I ordered two quick struts and paid for two day delivery to receive them several days later and had to fight to SOME of my shipping cost back. Let me remind you that you cannot call anyone. There mode of communication is through email only. Then after the first couple of weeks one of the struts went bad had to order another one and send the bad one back which I got money back for less the fee it cost me to have it installed twice. Now the second one has gone bad and they will no longer take it back because it’s been 100 days since I received it so now it’s falls on the manufacture warranty but I have to pay for shipping. Let me just say a quick strut is not light.plus now I have to pay for another one to be installed. VERY UNSATISFIED WITH THIS CO. "

Rockauto horrible experiences

" They never ship you the right part and then when you try to fix their error they have no live person to talk too. Everything's through internet and they don't have exactly on the internet for your problem. Never again!"

"I ordered some parts from rockauto needless to say I’ve still not received them not to mention I even paid for express shipping. I guess when you pay for express shipping that means y’all not get your parts "

No Customer Service

" Ok..needed a few cosmetic parts for old truck. I had a few simple questions....called and found out that they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE for me to talk to....I never order anything from a business who has no CS department. So, I called Parts Geek, and got to talk to a real human and I am very happy about that. Save yourself some time/money and stay away from RockAuto. Really, stay away from ANY company that does not have a human costumer service rep..
Oh, one other thing, when I did try to contact RockAuto, I got a receptionist from corporate on the phone. She was VERY rude....obviously, she must get a lot of calls asking about customer service. It made me feel sorry for her.

Good experiences

"Over the last 5 years I've collected 27 magnets on numerous projects for myself and friends/family.

Never had a single issue with delivery or missing items/returns and I live in Canada where often its the case.

Wrong size of part

"I needed a centerlink for a 1967 Cutlass Supreme, I went to the page showing the part from Proforged. There was no spec's sheet, so I thought only one part for this car. I ordered the part and it was too small. I phoned Proforged and they agreed there should have been a spec's sheet telling the size.
Put a complaint into Rockauto and Samantha sent me back a email lying about what Tony siad to me. She said the part on my car was not original. My mechanic is 68 yrs old and had this car when it was new. When he tells me the car has original parts on it I believe him.
I live in Canada I can send the part back, but the shipping there and back is more then what the part is worth. It is not my fault the size was not on the part, if it was my mechanic would have measured and not ordered.
I have sent three emails to ****@**** and they will not answer after the first email.
I belong to a Corvette Club and we will not use Rockauto anymore and pass the message to all the other Corvette clubs.

"I ORDERED WRONG PARTS BY MISTAKE BUT DID SHIP IT BACK AT MY EXPENSE ($43)FROM ADDRESS THEY PROVIDED ME WITH BUT THEN I GOT A CALL STATING IT WASNT CORRECT ADDRESS AND THEY WOULD SHIP IT TO CORRECT ADDRESS, BUT AGAIN TO MY EXPENSE AND FROM ME REALIZING THAT ORDERING FROM ROCKAUTO.COM WOULD BE ECONOMICAL IS TRULY FALSE. I WOULD SUGGEST ANYONE TO ORDER ELSEWHERE THAN ROCKAUTO.COM. THEY HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, A VERY CONFUSING WEBSITE TO PLACE YOUR ORDER AND AN EVEN MORE CONFUSING WEBSITE WHEN YOU NEED TO RETURN SOMETHING. Sent wrong part

"I ordered a wheel barring and hub assbly from Rock Auto on May 10 2018. I received it a few days later for my 2006 Jetta. When I was installing the part it did not fit, I had to go to AutoZone and purchase the correct part at a higher price. Rock Auto proceeded to refuse my return because it was "installed". However, the part was never installed because it did not fit. Rock Auto does not have a customer service number, and their message board locked me out when they chose to believe the part was "installed". I want my money back. "

No customer service, No phone number, not ordering any more

"Ordered 2 sets of rotors for 2010 Hyundai Sonata. Sent me 1” larger than original. No way to contact them and explain my problem. Show them pics. of there wrong parts. When do they stopped customer service. Sending wrong parts was very normal at Rockauto since long time, but at least someone would take your call and try to fix your problem but not anymore.
I’ve been buying parts from rockauto since 2005. Now I’ll take my business to local warehouse. It’s s almost same price on many routine parts. But at least you will be dealing with real human.
Back to old days.

Beat up bumper

"I ordered front and rear bumper covers for the wife's 07 suburban. Rear came in fine but front looked as if it was drug across the pavement along with a crack in a hard to fix spot. Two different body shops said a repair will not hold. Did the required pics and repair estimate only for them to tell me it was the shippers fault and it could take upwards of 65 days before I hear anything. They sure didn't wait that long to accept funds. Ridiculous! And no customer service no phone number? Wtf!!!!"

"Purchased a part, they informed me their inventory was off and were going to send a credit. While waiting for credit they told me they received the part in so I reordered it to find it the same thing. Asked "customer service" they said sorry they have been out of the part s long time. Still on the website as available. Still waiting on money"

Loyal customer kicked to the curb!

"I have been a loyal customer of rock auto for years. I recently ordered a fuel pump w/strainer included. When I received the pump the strainer was missing. After contacting them by email ( they have no customer service phone number) I was told that the pump I ordered did not come with the strainer. If you look at the fuel pump # F4261 for a 1995 Volvo 940 2.3 non turbo you will see it absolutely DOES come with the strainer. I gave them one star because there was nothing less. I will not recommend them anymore.PS: after contacting rock auto, and proved from their email to me that the mistake WAS MADE BY THEM...THEY CLOSED MY TICKET!!. AND THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. WHAT KIND OF COMPANY DOES THIS?? WHO IS IN CHARGE? PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER THIS QUESTION. I HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH A COMPANY WHO HAD NO ONE TO RESOLVE PROBLEMS."
