On time & correct parts

"I ordered cylinder struts and the package arrived on time as scheduled, from US to UAE. The part numbers are correct as ordered, but are not fitted yet so I'm don't know yet if they're damaged."

Poor parts and customer service

" After purchasing a speedo cable for my 1962 Cadillac and then trying to install it the part that was labeled for my 62 Cadillac was not a good quality parts one and one square and the other one was grounded when both ends need to be squared to run from the speedo. They said that they sold many others with no issues. I went down to my local NAPA and ordered the same speedo and when I got it it worked fine in my vehicle. After trying five times to get my refund back and to ship it back they stopped messaging me and told me I was on my own and they do not take installed parts back. I told them it was a manufacture defect and they stopped talking to me. This has ruined my experience with rock auto and I won’t buy from them again. I worked on cars for many years."

Horrible customer service

"I ordered $300 in parts, paid for next business day shipping and received it in 3 days. You can't actually talk to anyone and when you email them with a problem they tell you to look on there help page. But nothing about my shipping taking longer then it was supposed to. If you pay $75 for shipping you should get it when it's supposed to be there, now money back no help nothing. I will never order another thing from this **** hole of a place"

LOST PART AND SLOW REFUND

"I ordered a front swaybar that weighted 26.83 LBS and all I got was a empty box . It took over a week and a Facebook posting to get a refund. I also called them on the phone and got hung up on before I could finish my call. I NEVER BUY PARTS FROM THEM AGAIN."

Lack of specifics in product results in wasted time.

"purchased one radiator and it came with dented fins. Purchased another radiator and it didn't fit. Won't ever purchase anything from the time waster company called rockauto. FYI maybe include info like whether cooler line ports are on that item being sold in which the description you provide doesn't include. You'd not only retain a customer but wouldn't receive a crappy review from me and lose my business. "

2011 Subaru Forester Headlight Assemblies

"When I received my headlight assemblies from Rock Auto, I opened both boxes. I looked them over and they appeared to be intact. What I couldn't see is that a long plastic tab on each assembly protruded through a false bottom in each box. I disassembled my grill and bumper cover, basically the whole front of the car. Removed the driver side headlight assembly, and pulled the new one out of the box. The tab was broken. I got online, only to find out that they had no customer service by phone. Everything is handled on the internet. I called hoping they would overnight one, even if shipping was at my cost. They refused to do anything over the phone. I got onto their website and tried to complete their return procedure, but it wouldn't let me complete the process. I'm going to make the broken light work, and chalk it up as a $250 lesson. I'll never order parts from them again. I will only order from companies that have a customer service team. "

Amazing prices!!!

"I needed a radiator for my 89 D150. Tried locally first. NAPA wanted $320. Autovalue wanted $283 and Don’s Radiators $292. These are all Canadian businesses local to me with Canadian prices. I got the radiator I needed, same brand offered locally, Spectra Premium, for half the price including the shipping. $148 Canadian!!!!! I’ll wait the shipping time (about 5 days delivered to my door) to save that kind of money. I can find all the parts I need for usually a third to a half the cost of shopping locally. The only downfall is if you order multiple items and they don’t always ship out from one location, so you can end up paying multiple shipping charges on certain orders. "

Rockauto Rocks!

"I have been purchasing from Rockauto for several years now. I have purchased mufflers, suspension parts, brakes, rotors, timing kits, filters, and much more. I have always received my parts within days of my purchase. Only once has the part been wrong, that was an oil filter. I have not had to deal with customer service so I cannot speak to that. I will continue to use Rockauto and I always recommend to others."

"Orderd parts for 2 cars 2 trucks 1 RV (GMC van) all parts arrived before promised and all good quality parts (Name brand) one gasket kit had been resealed and was missing valve cover "O" rings .I had replacement delivered 5 days after e-mail and that included weekend ."Awesome Service" Thank-you ."

Crap Customer Service!

"I had been a happy rock auto customer in Canada for over 5 years. I only ever had one small issue last year, and I was able to get it resolved after talking with a customer service rep located at their head office in Madison, WI. Ive easily spent over $10,000 us with them since ive been a customer with them. As they have almost all the parts for my collector cars, and harder to find European parts.

This last order though was completely unacceptable. Simply put, I had ordered a fan clutch for my Mercedes, having experienced poor quality fan clutches from china in the past, for this car it had to be an original Sachs made in Germany (the original OEM supplier). I did a quickly lookup on their site, and they had about 5 options to choose from, ranging in price. I could clearly see from the photo which ones were "china brand" from the desgn, the 4 Seasons brand, was higher prices (in the range of the Sachs pricing), and the photo clearly showed a Sachs branded clutch with the words printed "Made in Germany" simply I could see that 4 seasons put a Sachs brand part in their box, and off it went. Not uncommon for "house brands" to do with parts. Also reason I ordered it from RA, and not elsewhere online is their shipping to Canada is pretty reliable, and I needed it asap.

Today box shows up, and on the packing slip, it clearly states "Country of origin - Germany", so I was glad. I open up the part box, and low and behold a cheap china knock off that clearly says "Made in China". I was disappointed, but needed it asap, so I paid more for express shipping and begun the order process to order a Sachs from another local supplier.

I call up their head office, and instantly get told that there is no one I can talk to and they "Discontinued" the customer service reps last fall. I was a bit disappointed, but regardless, I thought I would start the return process. Obviously with the notion that they sold me a "Not as described" part, and they should refund me the ship price to me, the part price, and the ship back amount for the return.

I quickly got a response back from customer service, and instantly they said, not their fault, not our problem, if you want to return it you will need to pay for the return shipping. After a lot of back and forth, I was getting nowhere. And I was completely dumbfounded, that they were treating this simple issue that was their fault, and blaming it on me.

I had to file a claim thru paypal, and will wait to see what happens.

Worst company

"Worst customer service, I ordered a cabin air filter a very simple part, hard to mess up, but rock auto managed to do that. The part got there very fast, but when it arrive it was of course the wrong one. The instructions clearly stated what vehicles this part was for I went through the email customer service process and they told me they were not responsible so that I could return the product, but they would not refund my shipping cost. I then tried to call the headquarters for help and the man that answered after being on hold for 20 mins told me that i could not speak to any supervisors or anyone in management and that they did not have a phone customer service and that online services did not have call centers and after I named about 6 companies with call centers he stated I was waisting his time and hung up. What kind of company is being ran here? I urge you to not use this company and I am personally spreading the word and reaching out to the BBB about the manner.

Disappointed!!!!

"Bought a complete Powerstop brake kit for my F-350. I live in Canada and shipping to Niagara Falls NY is an option I periodically go there and those parts waited for me for 2 months before I picked them up. When I did they missed sending a passenger front rotor/hub. No phone contact that ****! Now they don't ship to an alternate address despite being there fault. (Excellent Customer Service!) So I have 2 choices ship at there expense again to Niagara Falls or refund me and at my expense and I pay shipping to my house. WHY? WHY CAN'T THEY TAKE OWNERSHIP AND SEND IT TO MY HOUSE? So it would cost me $80.00 if I want it sent to my home. There is no reason why they can't. for this your rating is 1 Star.
