"Terrible, Terrible customer service. I placed an order on the 4th of November and even though I selected free shipping (where they say it will take 7-9 business days) it's way over that time.
Not only have I not received my package, but when I called the personnel was rude and promised me things and never followed up (i.e. tracking number).
I do not suggest ordering from this company. I hope to receive my camera some day if not I will obviously claim a refund. Only decent person was a certain Kevin, everyone else was so rude.

"I would never again dare to purchase anything at RytherCamera, nor will with recommend this store to anyone. I ordered a Canon 5D Mark III on 11/23/2012 for $2659 because that was the best price available on the internet. The confirmation email said, "PLEASE NOTE IF YOU SELECT FREE SHIPPING, IT MAY TAKE UP TO 2 TO 2 1/2 WEEKS BEFORE YOU RECEIVE IT. THERE MAY OR MAY NOT BE A TRACKING #'S PROVIDED WITH FREE SHIPPING. BY SELECTING FREE SHIPPING, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. PLEASE ALSO NOTE THAT YOU CAN UPGRADE TO FEDEX STANDARD OR FEDEX EXPRESS AT ANYTIME." This was never mentioned during the purchase. They also said that most of the orders will be processed within 72hours. After 72 hours, I called them back as I did not receive any confirmation emails. That's when the sales man asked me if I wanted the Thailand camera or the USA camera. I was flummoxed. Firstly, no body would ask you that question if the order has been processed already. I asked him what the difference was. He told me the Thailand one did not have the manufacturer's warranty and costs $2659 (the one I purchased), and the USA one had the warranty and is priced at $3149. Again, this was never mentioned during the purchase. I went back to their site and tried to purchase again and I never saw this. He tried to up-sell me by telling me that he could give it to me for $3100, and that is lower than the regular price of $3300 elsewhere on the internet. This is purely cheating! The only good thing is they cancelled my order as soon as I asked them to do it. I should have been more careful while purchasing such expensive products. Lesson learned!"

"overall good experience via online and phone.
I was unclear about the exact details on two editions of the Canon 5d so i called and they were able to explain the difference of warranties, manufacturing and battery life.
I actually ended up buying a memory card and bag because of their price bundling discount.
This time the purchase was for business purposes but i would definitely buy again and for my personal camera gear.

"On 11/22/2012 I ordered a Nikon Camera with accessories at an excellent price. I got a phone call to confirm my shipping address and was asked if I wanted to upgrade the rechargable battery. I asked if a battery came with what I purchased and the sales rep confirmed I was getting a battery but highly recommended upgrading the battery, I hesitated and the sales rep offered FED-EX shipping, quick charger, and the longer lasting battery at a reasonable price. I agreed and low and behold the Custom camera kit and all came today via FED-EX. Now that's customer service and I am happy with this purchase. This will make a great Christmas/Graduation Gift for my son. ThankYou"

"Ryther is nothing short of phenomenal! I called today to follow up and ask some questions about an online order I placed and learned I made a mistake. Not only Did David Brennon (the customers service attendant I talked to) explain my mistake and correct it for me he also let me know about a deal on warranties. "I am extremely happy with my purchase from RytherCamera. I searched the internet for the lowest price, which RytherCamera had everyone beat. The courtesy call I received to make sure my lens was the correct one, I felt showed "caring" by the company. Not to many companies these days take this extremely important step: customer satisfaction.
One last excellent satisfaction opportunity by RytherCamera is the speediness of receiving the product. It came in a few days, not in a couple of weeks.

"Update:
The camera has been arrived now, was picked up by a friend as I am out of station. And the big surprize after this review, I received a call today - 11/28 from Kyle of Rhyther Camera. He sounded nice, apologized for all the inconvenience I had, also they were down for sometime due to Sandy and this happened to be one of the bad case.

And, being so helpful he offered if I need anything from him, free of cost like any equipment or anything else, or he could refund $50 to my account for the inconvenience and delays, and if I feel I was overcharged. I appreciated and accepted; and even got a mail promptly processing the refund. My card details were asked to verify if I was right person.

Well, sounds like these guys do listen to customers, and my was one of the rare bad case they had. This has changed my opinion and I would suggest to try them.

Had a bad experience. I ordered Canon T3i because they has best price over web, and rest experience is just bad if you can read the story.

The order was placed with my amex international card on 11/17/12 in hope that they may will deliver by USPS ground service in next few days, and I can have my camera before festivals. And I was feeling good unless I realized that I have not received any information till next day - 11/18. I called sales and after long wait David answered that they are processing but the model I choose will not have any warranty and is not tested, and I should upgrade with paying $60 extra for USA model, and it will have warranty for a year. I agreed with that and also put opted the FedEx delivery for 4-6 days (FedEx suggests that from NJ to PA it will take just three days). But - on their website it was showing only $26.90 for FedEx delivery for this and similar products while adding to cart, however I was charged $39.99 for same by David - couldn't verified that really. So got a slapping of $100 overall from them. I just hoped they would be fair and I can get something nice finally.

Next day late evening I get another mail for my card and photo details.

That was strange - never experienced that from any shopping website and I panicked again, however sent all details including my personal information because I wanted to have camera sooner. I also called and they LIED that it has been shipped already, and I could see the amount was deducted from my card so believed on them. I waited, and asked for tracking ID over mail - and that was never answered. I was worried, I had to go another town next week and they didn't even answer the mails, and call wait time was more than 5 minutes so disconnected few times.

And I was planing to call them tomorrow finally to beg for tracking ID because have no options, but got a mail late evening today 11/23/2012 when I understood that they dispatched it finally Nov 23rd.

It was bad experience - finally by paying of total: $618.99, when I originally thought of $519.00 - may be for a better model, but with so much of frustration, delay and now going to get it after two weeks of ordering, as I am being out of station for next week. Now I will have to talk to FedEx to hold this delivery, and I really wonder what I should do for these lies, delays and extra charges by Ryther Camera? Looks like I committed mistake ordering there, and you should not shop here.
