"I ordered a Canon 5D II with 24-105 F/4L IS for $2699 and two day shipping. David Brennon emailed me "Please call us regarding The processing/verification of your order."
I called immediately and was told that if I'd like the USA Retail Kit, it would be an extra $200. Their website failed to specify that what I was ordering was NOT in fact the USA Retail Kit but a gray market kit (no manufacturer's warranty, junk battery and charger, etc).
This is not good business practice and not how you make customers happy! A reputable online store would VERY CLEARLY label imported cameras as such.
However, I was glad that they brought the situation to my attention before shipping instead of after. Furthermore, they promised to cover the two-day shipping if I went with the USA Retail Kit. This is a plus, but I am still spending $100 more than expected."

"i bought a new canon camcorder from ryther camera almost a year ago. They have really cheap prices and offer kits along with the camcorder.Since then i had to repair the camcorder for a faulty touch screen, i sent it to canon, they gladly made the repairs. The kit they sell are not brand, your better off buying separate things else where. Great service, they will call you later to try to sell you more things. "

Kevin the manager was quick to get back to me (before he saw my review) and has been working actively to try resolve the issue with one of their distributors.
Poor experience shopping with Ryther Camera online. Experienced the classic bait and switch where an online item was not accurately described and the actual item I wanted was way higher priced. Against my better judgement went ahead with the more expensive item anyway.
2 weeks from date of order, no shipping confirmation, no tracking number despite assurances from David that my order
was on it's way and would reach by the 11th of April. One of the reasons I upgraded my order was for faster shipping by fedex as I will be leaving on a business trip on the 12th. Now I'm out of 2 grand with no camera to show for my efforts and I'm leaving tomorrow."
