I have since been contacted by Michael, one of the owner/managers. He was sincerely concerned with the treatment I had received as a customer and listened attentively to what had happened. Once Michael understood the circumstances he was extremely apologetic and did make things right in the end. I felt that I was still valued as customer even though some of his staff had placed a black mark on his company. After talking with Michael I am convinced his intentions are sincere based on our conversation and the resolution. There is now hope that I will strongly consider doing business with Ryther Camera in the future, but will be cautious and selective with who I place an order with.

"When I finally decided on my camera, it was time to choose a seller. A quick search online yielded cheapest price of $709 for a Canon T2i w/ EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens from Rythercamera - which was cheaper by $40 compared to the next cheapest seller!
Immediately, I searched for Store ratings and I did get a mixed bag of responses. Some people rating it real good and a few not so good ones..
Nevertheless, as I am a student, $40 mattered so I decided to go for it. Ordered on Feb 7, 2012 with the option of Free Shipping --> Usual reply by email that I need to call them to verify the details. I spoke to David on Feb 8, 2012 and all that was said was that the Camera would be delivered around Feb 22, 2012. The only other question he asked was whether I had a memory card to use with the camera - happens to be an SD Card and which I had two myself. I explained to him that since I had it with me, I would not need one from the store. Waiting for further communication...
On Feb 17, 2012 I get an email from Rythercamera informing me that the camera shipped out and would reach on Feb 21, 2012 - A day earlier than the promised date per the telephone conversation.
The camera arrived thru Fedex on 21st evening and immediately I went online to register my camera and lens on the Canon website. I had absolutely NO ISSUES doing so and everything went on smooth.
I will conclude that it was uneasy the day after I ordered the camera and it was ON till I actually received it and finally registered online. Rythercamera has totally won me over and it has instilled that they do good business. Only possible grouse can be shipping & processing time BUT It was $40 less expensive! Can argue with that but not when I am a student..
Recommendation to them is to improve on processing time and doing so will not give any customer room for complaint.

"I am happy with the purchase. I only thing is we have no clue about the status of the shipping as no updated email was sent to us for the next one week. One week after the purchase, the package arrived in our small mailbox. We feel a little concerned as how about it was stolen by someone just passing by. Also, no indication in the description that it is the white-box product which is brand new."

"I ordered a Nikon D7000 from RytherCamera. I had a hard time finding it on line and did find one on their website. After I ordered, I looked on line at the feedback for the company. ( That seems a little backward, but that's just how I did it). After reading some of the reviews, I got pretty nervous. HOWEVER, I want to report that Ryther came through on all levels with my order. I got it by the promised date and everything was in the box as ordered. The bag that came with the camera had a faulty zipper. I called Ryther as soon as I discovered this and they sent out a replacement bag that day and they didn't ask for me to return the faulty bag. While I didn't experience their customer service as necessarily the "friendliest", they followed through with my order as expected."

"The jury is still out, I just ordered this camera. I called them when I saw an ad for a Brand New Canon EOS 50D w/Canon 28-135mm IS Lens for $1099 and a 5 year accidental warranty for $199. I have the ad right here still ! Printed out and screen snapped. Well when I got my confirmation email, it was for Body Only, no mention of the lens. When I saw that Body Only, I called them up but I was at work and I couldn't remember what lens came with the camera ad that I had printed out at home. The sales person told me it was the Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Auto Focus Lens, and I trusted him. But now I am home and I have the ad in front of me and as a screen snap and it was not that lens, which retails for about $100, it was supposed to be a much more expensive lens, a Canon EOS 50D w/Canon 28-135mm IS Lens !!! And I was over charged, I was supposed to be charged $1099 + $199, which is $1398. They charged me $1439. I live in Oregon, sales tax free. What was that extra charge for. At this point I want to cancel the order and deal with a company that is above board.
