"Bought a HDR-CX560V and it arrived in a few days without hassle. So far my only issue is the extra battery yields a "C04:00 For use with compatible battery only" message. My guess is that we'll be able to solve that pretty easily. Maybe it's just a bad battery.

"Items were not in stock (although listed as "in stock/available") and shipping was delayed by 1 week even on an in-stock item. This was apparently due to product availability (affected by the Japan tsunami) so maybe Ryther cannot be faulted. They were very kind in offering to refund the shipping costs and providing a store credit to make up for the delay.


In summary, great prices, spotty availability and generally misleading availability and shipping/delivery dates. Very responsive customer service."

"I ordered an import 7D by accident but called in the next day and upgraded to a Canon USA warranty model but still received the import, which came in a kit box with kit lens removed (probably because of short supply on 7D bodies due to earthquake). I sent an email about my situation and finally received a reply about 4 days later and a follow up phone call the evening of the same day. The rep said he would give me a $200 credit and assured me that once I registered the camera with Canon I would be covered by the manufacturer warranty. I contacted Canon and they said if I didn't have a warranty card I was not covered. I decided to buy another camera from another source since they finally had stock. I paid $200 less for this one that came in a kit box with warranty card and all. I then contacted Ryther and got an RMA on the camera from them. They emailed a return label and I got a full refund 12 days later. It was a bit of a painful process but in the end they treated me right, it just took longer than I had hoped."
