Ordered Canon 60D on 1/24, Due to the storm or may be some other reason, they delayed my shipping, I worried a lot. I call them up, they apologized about their delay, and upgraded my shipping to FedEx Next day, and included a SD card as a gift for delay.
The package shipped out 2/6, and I should expect my package tomorrow according to Fedex Tracking

The sales person didn't try to up sell too much as I told him about the financial limitations. I would definitely buy again because the customer service was great. I changed my shipping address from my home to my office address after FEDEX had already failed once on trying to reach me at home. The customer service at Ryther was extremely willing and quickly made the changes in less than a day and informed Fedex. I had the camera the very next day."
"I recently ordered a Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L ll USM lens from Ryther Camera. I called to place the order and was immediately asked if I wanted to purchase a filter kit with the lenses. I told Victor no and said I already owned filters of that size, he seemed quite insistent none the less. I then requested that the ordered be shipped to an address other than my billing address. Victor informed me that this was impossible and that they were unable to ship to anything except my billing address. I was informed that the shipping address must be approved by my credit card company. I informed Victor that I had many items shipped to the address from companies like Amazon, Apple, Adorama, etc. and that this was known to and approved by my credit card company as an alternate location. Victor informed me that extra time would then be required to process the order so the company could verify the address with my credit card company. I said go ahead and process the order and ended the call. This happened on January 5th and my credit card was billed on January 5th. I received and email shortly thereafter confirming the order that included a confirmation number. Two days later a woman called and said it was impossible to ship to the address I had requested (a UPS Store where I have an account). I advised her of my previous conversation with Victor days before, and gave her the telephone number to my credit card customer service to make her job easier and hopefully quicker. I checked back on the Ryther Camera website two days later and it informed me that the order was processing. It continued to say this until I called customer service on January 11th. When someone (who mumbled their name)answered the phone. This person sounded bothered that I had called and barely had the time to talk to me. I was told the order was moving to the shipping department and that it would be upgraded to 2nd day air if I gave them a good review. I receive notice of the shipment on January 13th and the package arrived on the 15th. I would think twice before buying anything form this company. The customer service, up-sales antics and slow delivery do not inspire repeat business. To bad there is no way to rate a zero!"
"I ordered a hot-ticket item (The Nikon D7000) from Ryther before Christmas. I needed the camera and lens before year's end. Most vendors didn't even show them in stock and didn't have any idea when they would be available. I ordered this one, got it in before Christmas. I only recieved one of the two memory cards I ordered. I called, and recieved the second card within a few days.
Very pleased with Ryther, their customer service, their ability to deliver what they promised, and their responsiveness."
"My experience with Ryther absolutely contradicts most reviews I've read and that is disappointing as I based my decision to do business with them based on these reviews.
I purchased a camera kit and a few accessories online. As you would expect the "upsale" call came almost immediately and they were very passive agressive. I agreed to a teleconverter upon their recommendation. When the kit was received I found the teleconverter was not compatible with the primary lens with the kit. I notified them immediately but that in itself was very difficult. After several calls which went to voice mail I emailed them regarding the issue. One week later I was finally contacted by Kevin, was given an RMA number and I was promised he would call when the product was received. The product was returned immediately as instructed however the call never came. Across several weeks of emails and phone calls I was promised no less than 4 times that the credit for the lens would happen "that day" and "within the next 15 minutes" (now working with Victor), it never happened. Unfortunately I was forced to contact my credit card company and the BBB before the issue was resolved. I bent over backward to be above board with these people to the extent of advising them about intervention of the BBB if this was not resolved in a reasonable amount of time and I even presented proof of delivery of the return (including their signature).
It was a very sad situation, extremely unprofessional at all levels. Bottom line - you will undergo upselling and may the gods be with you if you have issues with your order. I can NOT recommend doing business based on my experience."
"I ordered in October 2010 a Canon Lens and a Filter. The agent called me after my order and offered me three filters for a price of $129.99. When the order arrived, I noticed that the filters could be bought at Amazon. Marketplace for $20. I just called the service and they gave me a Return Code to give the filters back, delivering the ordered Filter and refund me $80. I just sent the cheap filters back and never heard anything from Ryther Camera. No answers to my mails or telephone. I’m still waiting for the filter and the refund.
Got a refund of the total amount and would like to say thank you for the quick response. The sales guys called me several times to make sure that the money is refunded and to explain how this mess could happen. After all I really appreciate the good service at RytherCamera."
