"COVID has slowed everything up, but my fridge spring broke the first week of March. The spring on line for my model # was different from the one which broke (longer with extra bends). From calling a parts company in Minneapolis, I found out the spring I needed had been discontinued and replaced by the longer spring. I never got a call back from your customer service for two months. Ordered the one on line anyway. Of course, it didn't fit. The refrigerator door doesn't snap back shut due to the extra length. Finally got an email back from your customer since on June 19, but only because I requested an exchange for the wrong part. I was told that I cannot do an exchange because I ordered the correct part. Then why doesn't it perform the function it is supposed to, i.e., shut the door? I still had to manually move the French door flap in order to fit it into the slot so the door will shut. It took another week and a half for the person assigned to help me to email me. I had asked for a phone call. After a lot of back and forth, she recommended that I order a $100 part instead. I'm shocked that your company would discontinue a critical part such as a spring. I'm not very happy that I have to "spring" for a much more expensive part. I am very unhappy that Samsung will not reimburse me for the cost of the spring (and shipping) because you say it's the part I ordered (i.e., wasn't misshipped), because it is identified as the right part on line. It didn't fit to do it's intended job. This whole experience has me reconsidering buying Samsung products."
"It was hard to even find this parts website. I was given a link after "chatting" with the Instant Message Robot. I called the number on the inside of the Fridge and after being called back was told to "go to the website," which I'd already found after much searching.
