"A great superautomatic espresso machine! I previously owned the DeLonghi ESAM 3400 machine. It was a fine machine, but the new model ESAM 5500 is better. It's quieter, has more drink options and it looks awesome on my kitchen counter. I did notice that some of the interior plastic parts seem somewhat lighter and cheaper than the older model. I just hope it lasts as long. Regarding espresso temperature, I pulled a double shot and measured the temp. to be 149F which, as a former barista, I can say is just about perfect. I really like the automatic cappucino/latte feature, although the temp. of my latte, at 136F, was a little bit low. I probably should have warmed my cup first. If you like your espresso drinks extra hot, you may be disappointed. For the rest of us, it's a great way to start the day!"

"I was expecting shipping notification within a few days of placing the order but I received none. So, I called the store and they told me that my order was basically not in the system. After some investigation, the order was found but was lost due to software glitch as I was told. The order was re-instated and immediately I received a shipping notification. I am glad I called, otherwise I would be waiting forever."
