"With the explosion of automated on line and impersonal shopping it is often not possible to communicate with a real human being to perhaps answer a querstion that is not present in the digital FAQ database. I recently made an international purchase from Photo4less and ran into some difficulty with the card transaction not related to funds but bank protocols. I contacted the store by email and surprisingly had a positive and swift personal reply. Adding to my difficulty was the fact that I was travelling in a remote overseas location with no immediate communication. Photo4less advised me of some shipping costs and kept my order open until my return. Subsequently I was able to contact the store again and in less than a day the purchase was finalised and shipped. There was no automatic expiry of the purchase order, no demand notices, just good old fashioned personal service and communication by a human. Additionally the price had in fact increased however the original enquiry price was honoured. Through the entire process the attitude was always positive. I had previously tried to purchase the equipment from another online store and after completing the entire transcation I was informed a week later they would not ship overseas. "I ordered a Nikon battery grip on 8-22. I received a confirmation email with my correct shipping address the same day.

On Sept 1 I called their customer service at 11:30 west coast time. I let it ring about 15 times and then a recorded voice came on and said something like "There is no one here to help you at this time."

Later on 9-1. Tried to use their online customer service contact method of entering in my email and order number. Nothing came up. Called again at noon. Got through and found out the order has been shipped and should arrive tomorrow."

"I made order over phone, Ralph from sales department sent me proforma invoice. Same date they shipped package to me (Czech Republic/Prague) over USPS express mail international. Czech Rep arrived package after 2 days. Another 2 days took custom clearance. Package was very well packed. Everything arrived as I ordered. Just make sure you order INSURANCE on USPS package delivery. Overall very satisfied and significantly cheaper than BH photo, which was so far my favourite one."
