"I placed an order of Sharp LCD projector with four staples award checks last week but got it cancelled because the item was out of stock. At that time, I was told that I still can use my staples award checks for the future orders. However, I could not use my staples award checks yesterday and was told that I have used them. I called the customer service and they claimed that I have used them and refused to let me use my award checks of $50. "

"The product I was interested in just happened to go on sale + rebate when I was ready to order- a wonderful coincidence, but nothing really to Staples' credit.

When I tried to place the order online, the website gave me trouble calculating things correctly- I *thought*.

I called their 800 number, and found it was my mistake: the sale was $10 off instantly + $10 off at checkout, not $20 instantly.

The rep I was speaking to was very good-natured (we joked about it being unnecessarily complicated), but then since he knew what I wanted, offered to put the order in over the phone for me.

Very nice, and the $20 rebate just got to me today - took nearly 3 months, but no hassles or denials.

Will continue shopping here.

"Ordered a Belin wireless router that was suppose to be free after rebate along with $15 worth of school supplies which after a 15 dollar off coupon came out to be just $0.44 cents more. However they canceled my order for the router about 2 days later saying that they were out of stock. I was really disappointed but seeing that I already submitted a $40.00 easy rebate and refunded the full price I paid for the router I basically paid $0.44 for everything!!! (minus the router) and I might even get a $40.00 extra rebate too. I would totally order from them again! Fast shipping too as I ordered late sunday/early monday mornning and got it Tuesday afternoon."

"Rebates are a crapshoot anywhere. At least with Easy Rebates ya can go online and see if you are going to get cheated out of it or not.
Have gotten robbed of rebates from BB,CC and Staples before on mail in's, at least with Staples when they make a mistake (like they have with mine before) u can call them up and get them to fix it and hopefully get it finally. So far, have gotten all of Easy rebates, even ones they messed up initialy online.

It doesn't hurt to have ur kid working for them either :-)

"I order about 12 items from Staples.com for a buck each. Shipping was free. I thought it would take at least a week or two to arrive. I received the items in less than 24 hours. There was one minor problem with the order that probably was my fault (wrong item #). Staples refunded my money and gave me the item for free. Then they shipped the correct item to me the next day for free.

Excellent service! I will definitely shop there a lot.

"I've placed many orders through Staples.com and have never encountered a problem with the company. While the website is a bit unintuitive and can be downright frustrating at times, once an order is placed Staples does a great job at making sure it is delivered by the delivery date.

A good and trustworthy company to do business with. No problems redeeming mail-in-rebates, and no problems at all with shipping. Great place to rely on for quick and easy delivery of office-type technology products.

"This is a review for Staples.com mostly, not the brick & mortar stores.

I ordered a clearance item, PNY Notebook memory and received it 2 days after online purchase. Very good shipping.

Besides that, I love the easyrebates, they seem to be the only store that is making strides to make the rebate process easier. I have made numerous purchases in the past and they always seem to have prompt, good shipping.

Out of all the office stores, Staples seems to be pushing the most towards online customers, with easy rebates and a lot of online clearance/sale items. I could honestly say that I would rather buy my electronics online at Staples than Best Buy or Circuit City.

I wish them nothing but the best right now because they're working good for me.

"I made a order and got charged a higher price after they sent they the order. or a least they thought they were going to charge me more without my approval to do so. I use a one time use card to make internet orders and the only charge that can be made is the amount for the original charge. They want me to send it back becuase I refuse to pay more for their mistake. I said fine I would return it. Now I'm supposed to leave it on the porch for 1-5 days, becuase they won't give me a firm date of when they are coming. I said I would stick it out there, but wouldn't be here on any of those days to watch it. If it comes up missing then I'm not paying for it. "

"I purchased a Minolta color laser printer from Staples, and it was advertised as having a $100 rebate. I have done many rebates in the past, so am well aware of the procedures. After following their instructions to the letter, I received an email notification saying that my rebate was "invalid" because, I "did not include the UPC codes". This rebate was sent in on time, via Priority Mail, and *ALL* materials that were asked for on the rebate form WERE included in the package - UPC codes from the original box INCLUDED. This is an excellent example of companies trying whatever they can in order to not pay rebates - and an excellent example as to why you should not buy from Staples... I know this will be my last transaction for them for myself and my company."
