"I ordered from this company BEFORE seeing the reviews. I am not a little worried if I will ever see my item. has anyone actually received the item they ordered? I ordered 3 day shipping and they charged my credit card but have not given me a tracking # at all."
"I don't know how these people sell anything. I ordered a Sony Cybershot DSC-P200 for a great price. A sales rep then called me and tried to sell me several accessories. I kept saying no thank you. He kept cutting the price. When I finally said I just wanted the camera, he said fine, it would be 6-8 weeks. I said I needed it for Christmas but he said it wouldn't be available for Christmas unless I bought the accessories. So I said I wanted to cancel the order, and he said he would cancel it for me. Very strange!"
"Same story as many other reviews. Saw a great price on a camera and placed an order. I received an email indicating that the order had to be confirmed. I have been through this with other resellers and expected the accessories pitch that I got and after declining the accessories was told that my order was confirmed and would be shipped. After two weeks my order was still in a New Order status so I sent an email. A week later the same status and no response to my email so I sent a second. I then called the next business day to speak to a customer service rep, if you call what they offer as service. I was asked if I purchesed accessories twice and said that I had not both times and then was immediatly told that my order was cancelled and was hung up on. I wish I checked with resellerratings.com before I placed my order."
"The customer service of this company is horrible! I placed digital camera order online Friday night and got email confirmation that I needed to call back to confirm order (which seemed unnecessary). They are not open on Saturdays and then someone ("James") called me on Sunday to confirm order, and left message since I was not home. When I called back number the first thing they said was "what's your order number"; when I gave it to them they said nothing and immediately put me on hold. A minute later he confirmed my order and also wanted to sell me $90 128MB memory card, but would sell me 256MB card for same price (however, I know that a 512MB card can easily be found elsewhere online for $40). Since I told him I could find cheaper card elsewhere he seemed annoyed and pushed me to confirm order for $240 ($130 camera + $90 memory card). When I told him I didn't want the memory card he offered to throw in ($20) camera case. When I told him I didn't want that either he (rudely) asked me if I wanted to place $240 order or cancel order altogether; when I was in mid-sentence he actually interrupted and said "I'm now talking now, do you want to place $240 order or just cancel it". When I told him I decided to cancel order altogether (I was pretty shocked and annoyed at this point) he said "good, that's what I wanted you to do anyway", and hung up. I have never experienced such poor customer service in my life, I suggest that all potential customers avoid this company, they sound like bad news. I am therefore not surprised at all the other bad reviews I have read about this company.
11/30 update: I noticed that my order is still on their site with status of OK, though no tracking number. I therefore assume and hope I never receive it since I in fact did tell them to cancel. I have since ordered same camera from Beach Camera for only $25 more, with absolutely no hassle or strong-arm sales tactice; never had to speak to anyone since I was able to do EVERYTHING online which I prefered (their automated email follow-ups were very informative and helpful). I received in 5 days after placing order, even though the shipping method I selected should have been anything from 8-10. I am therefore extremely pleased with Beach Camera! Need to now go and give them great review."
"This was the worst internet buying experience I have had. They advertise cheap, and when you do not buy accessories, they just cancel your oder and do not let you know. When you call them they are rude and hang up. Stay away, do no trust these people. I will not trust "everyprice.com" either. Their site had nothing but great reviews for wawa"
"I ordered a Canon on the WaWa Website, then did the "confirmation call" thing in which a fast-talking bait-and-switcher tried to saddle me with all these over-priced add-ons, all of which I politely declined. Eventually, when he couldn't interest me in the Titanium wide angle lens, he said rather mockingly, "So you just want the camera." AND THEN HE HUNG UP. I never got a tracking number... just got a rude awakening when I went back to the site a few days later and saw that my order had been cancelled. Wonder why.
Another beef I have is with the merchant review site that had nothing but positive reviews for WaWa. It was those 26 "reviews" that led me to place the order in the first place...well, that and the lowball price for the A610. Now I'm doing due diligence, and I'm just glad I've discovered this site. "
"Don't go here!! Rude and untruthful people. Their object is to get you to buy the camera at a low price them sell you on overpriced accessories with a VERY HIGH-PRESSURE sales pitch. When I did not bite on the accessories, they hung up on me and cancelled my order for the camera without telling me that they did this. My second bad experience with a Brooklyn camera shop."
"I had a horrible experience with this company. I ordered on a Monday and paid for 2 day shipping, b/c I needed the camera for an event that Wednesday night. Then, Tuesday, I received an email that I had to call them - so I did, and they were VERY pushy on the accessories and I ended up spending over $700 instead of my original order of $300 for the camera. They led me to believe that the camera didn't come with anything - but I know now that it does. THEN, Wednesday afternoon came and NO CAMERA. So I called. OOPS! Apparently FedEx tried to deliver to CA instead of TX where I live. They said they'd ship another one out to me. No good, I said - cancel the order and I'll go to Best Buy and pick up the camera I want from them on my way to my event. THEY REFUSED TO CANCEL THE ORDER. I asked them for the tracking ## of the order that *supposedly* went to CA - hmmm...they were unable to produce. Also, when I did get my order ( the day after I needed it),I received a SOFT camera case - I ordered a hard one. I emailed them and got an EXTREMELY RUDE response that they don't make hard cases and that I didn't exactly pay $150 for a case. DUH of couse I didn't pay $150 for a case - they aer 30 bucks and I specifically ordered a HARD one. I was going to purchase two addditional cameras at the beginning - now I'll NEVER do business with this company - they are AWFUL and EXTREMELY PUSHY AND RUDE."
" HORRIBLE COMPANY! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!! I was told via e-mail that I had to call wawadigital to "confirm" my order. Upon calling them, I was connected to a salesman, who diligently tried to get me to purchase additional accessories. After informing him that I only wanted to purchase the camera, I was quickly told that it was on back order and that I would recieve it in 6-8 weeks. He hung up on me before I could ask any more questions. Their web site at the time said they had this camera in stock, and the site still says that it is available (a month later). Upon checking the status of my order today, I found that it has been cancelled (NOT by me), and I did not receive any phone calls or e-mails informing me of this. At the time I placed my order wawadigital.com was selling this camera for $279.00, which is lower than kodak's retail price of $349.95. It is my opinion that wawadigital will not sell this camera unless you order at least $70 worth of accessories with it, and they only list their price as $279 to get a better ranking on sites such as froogle.com and shopper.com. The Better Business Bureau of New York has several complaints filed against this company, which also goes by the names of INS Digital World, Stargate Photo and The Camera Whiz."
"SCAM ARTISTS!!!!!!!! Please check the BBB before buying. Bait and switch jerks with no professionalism - just 2 guys in a run down building in Brooklyn. They have around 15 different web sites that I have found so far and all of them have negative ratings. CEO Admoun Ackhabaz - 1809 Coney Island Ave Brooklyn NY, 11230"
"'BE AFRAID, VERY AFRAID!" WAWA is a SCAM!
Placed order online for Sony MSC-V3 and was called to confirm order and pushed to upgrade to more accessories. After initially agreeing to purchase spare battery, I pushed back and pointed out that I could get a comparable Sony battery for $40 less, "Sam" told me that he was canceling my order.
After NOW reading the reviews I see the scam. I am filing a complaint with the BBB and putting a hold on my credit card."

"I ordered a camera online & got an email from them saying I need to call them to confirm my order. I called them several times, & I got hung up several times. Very BAD customer service!! Finally I got to talk to someone, the answer is no stock. "Your order is cancelled. It's not available." That's it. I got hung up AGAIN!!(the last time!) This company is piece of junk!!!!!!!! Why should I pay to get all these hassles??!!"

November 6, 2005
I placed my order and not long after got a call to confirm the order. The guy asked why did I pick that camera, it was a great camera. He proceed to rudely and aggressively try to get me to buy accessories. I told him thanks anyway that I did not want a memory card. He told me the camera would only hold two pictures, I needed a memory card. I again said no thanks. He asked why not. I told him that I was already spending enough on my son’s gift. He said why was I being so cheap. I tried to change the subject and asked him if the camera included the cds. He said, “You worry about CD’s but not about memory, your order is canceled.” I thought he was kidding. I asked him if he was kidding. He said no. He said I was rude because I did not want a memory card. I asked to talk to a supervisor. He said he was the supervisor. I asked his name. He said Scott. He then told me “you think we need your ten dollars.” I asked him what he was talking about. He said, “Do you think we get 300 from this camera. We don’t need your ten dollars.” I told him I was going to go to go to the BBB. He said he did not care. He said, “Do you think they will believe that I said that to you?’ He also said not to call him back and ask for him and I had one minute left and then he hung up on me.
I called the number given on the site. I talked to Tom, he said that he would handle it. I asked if the owner could call me back. He said he would have the owner call me. (Later he told me that was like asking Bill Gates to call me.) I called back because Tom did not take my name down. He said he would take care of it and then said I could talk to someone else. He also said that they did not even have the camera in stock. He transferred me to someone else. This was the man that had called me initially. He said this time his name was JJ, someone else later told me his name was Mohamed (who knows). He told me that if I called back I would always get him and that if I called back he would charge me a cancellation fee (though I had not canceled the order, he did). I called again trying to talk to again get a supervisor. I got him again. I said that I had previously spoken to him and I wanted to speak to someone else. He said, “Now you are in trouble. You know you are in trouble.” He said this in a very threatening manner, to the point that I felt very threatened.
I called back and talked to someone (an operator). He said “Just to let you know, I have had three other complaints about this guy. I would just leave my order cancelled if I were you.” I asked if I could talk to the owner. He said he has no way of getting in touch with the owner. He said that he would tell someone and have the guy fired. I asked for someone higher than him. He told me to call back tomorrow and talk to Cornelius. (I believe he was just pacifying me and a part of the scam).
I have now investigated this company on digital camera review sites. This is unbelieveable!! And unacceptable!!
These people lie, bait and switch, are rude, threaten you and then hang up on you. The guy threatened to charge my account for a cancellation when he is the one who canceled my order because I did not order any accessories. I am appalled at what is going on here. Also, they have apparently done business/are doing business under different names. This is hurting other internet merchants. Consumers are afraid to shop online, who wants to give their information to people like this or be treated like a piece of garbage?
Please complain to whomever you can, something has to be done. "
"I tried to buy a Canon Powershot a520 from these bozos, and they called me not 15 minutse later to "confirm" the order. The guy seemed pleasant until he asked me "I noticed you didn't order a memory card with the camera, how come?" I simply stated I already had one, and he said something rude (I couldn't make it out) and hung up on me. At the time, I thuoght maybe our connection dropped. Hah.
I then came to this site and got rather worried.
The next day, I call asking about when it might ship, and he tells me: "did you sleep well??" I'm a bit confused, and he goes on: "you must be dreaming if you think you're going to get a tracking number the very next day. If you call us again, we'll cancel your order." And then he hung up.
Then, he ended up cancelling it anyway. I'm somewhat relieved, but it amazes me how anyone could run a business like this. It bugs me that he has my credit card info. ALL OF THESE STORIES ARE TRUE!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!"
