"I have been doing business with Surplus Computers for nearly two years now. I have thought about it and thought about it and I cannot come up with at least one down-fall with all my experiences of doing business with this organization. I had a multiple shipment coming to me and one of my boxes was accidently shipped to another place of business. I contacted Surplus Computers shipping department via email, not expecting the rapid response that I received back from the shipper. I then called,(got through just fine by-the-way), the shipping dept. Then all my worries concerning my package was taken away. I received my package that same day, hassle-free.
My orders have been pulled from your warehouse correctly every time and I am still using the equipment that I have ordered. To narrow this down easy enough - I think you guys are super and I have HIGHLY recommended your establishment to other people. Word - of - mouth is the best marketing program! Keep up the great work to each and everyone of you who makes it happen!"
"I purchased a cable modem from Surplus Computers that was listed as "refurbished". However, when it arrived, it was DOA! Simply connecting my cable connection to this modem and plugging it in showed that it was DOA. I spoke with the manufacturer and was told that anyone who plugged it in should be able to tell it was dead if they knew anything about modems. I requested a return authorization from Surplus Computers, which I did receive, but was also informed that I was responsible for paying shipping charges. Checking with the post office for shipping this item with proof of delivery, which Surplus Computers recommends, I found that it was going to cost $11 to send it back. I received NO RESPONSE from Surplus Computers after sending 3 e-mails to complain about the cost. Did I send it back? NO! Tired of wasting my time and my money on a business with such poor customer service. I threw the modem in my garbage can along with the rolodex card I had made for them. If you really have money to throw away, mail it to me, not them. At least I will write a "thank you". "

"I purchased several items, all of the order was shipped in one box. This was my first order from them, I'll definitely consider them for future orders, but only if I can afford to wait a very looooong time for my order.
The time span from when I received my emailed invoice number to when UPS stated they picked up the order was over 8 calendar days, only 2 of those days were weekend days, meaning 6 working days were needed to pack and ship my order - this is not at all what I would consider reasonable shipping and handling delays when I had no reason to believe anything in the order was not sitting in their stock. UPS delivery added another 8 calendar days to cross the country!
While other online merchants I've dealt with were usually (but not always) faster, this one order was the second slowest overall delivery time I've ever seen. I've also placed UPS Ground orders (from other online merchants) which needed less than 3 days from mouse (me, clicking 'submit') to pocketknife (used to open the carton after delivery). The industry trend seems to be that UPS Ground (slow delivery) can be postponed indefinitely, but I feel that the delays from Surplus Computers are inappropriately long. I do not wish to be contacted about this delay, nor do I seek to be compensated about this order, I simply want Surplus Computers to hear me say "Make the internal shipping and handling time much faster" ;-)
Very good packaging of the heavy stuff (I ordered 4 full height drives, 8 lbs each) and the softer stuff (software on CDROM disc) was undamaged. Products delivered were as advertised, refurbished is what I ordered, and refurbished is what I received.

My second order was placed just 1 week ago on a Saturday, it shipped out on Tuesday, arrived on Thursday. Much faster total shipping process from mouse to pocketknife when using US Postal Service. Would raise shipping process rating to 4, customer service to 4, but this would affect original post which I feel needs to be left as is."
"WHAT!?!? I have no clue how this company got such a high rating considering they're responsible for the worst customer service experience I've ever had. They even have a bad record with the Better Business Bureau according to the BBB website (http://www.bbbsilicon.org/common.html?location=/home/common/www/bindr/report.php&bureau=sanjose&compid=212384). Basically my problem was that I got a 20" monitor that didn't work, and didn't have another $40 to spend on return shipping since I had already spent another $20 on cables to make sure the monitor was actually broken. I tried to see if they would pay for me to ship it back or wait a bit longer than the normal return time, but they did neither and have completely ignored the last several e-mails I've sent (although maybe they're now taking months to respond instead of just weeks). I'd call if I could, but the phone number just gets you stuck in voice-menu hell so that's not really an option. Thanks to them, I'm stuck with a 70 lb. paperweight that cost $100 and they couldn't care less.
My advice: NEVER order from this company. One thing I've learned is that you never find the true value of an online store until you have a problem, and they really dropped the ball this time."
"I bought a personal compter....this was not just any old computer it has super fast precessing speed, has tons of hard drive space and more than sufficient amount of ram to run video and audio fun stuff. "Surplus Computers are exactly a great company. I ordered a tower with a power supply included for a great price. Now tell me how can that be beaten, No way.
Plus I have ordered a motherboard that is really awesome and I have never seen a motherboard like that. Now can you imagine how much that would cost from other stores (lots more money). Ive also brought a crd-pd drive which is very cool and guess what. Through Surplus Computers it didn't cost much at all. Now think about it a cdr-pd drive. If u were to buy those separate it still would cost more money that the prices of Surplus Computers. But Thats like two drives with a price twice less than how much one drive would cost you. Theres no better Computer sellers out there better than Surplus Computers and I am going to continue ordering from them this week. I ordered parts for a system and it cost way less than how much a company would charge like gateway and hp and so on. But ordering From this EXCELLENT SELLER it possible to have an awesome high performance system hook up with exciting features. No Other is going to beat surplus and I know because I have made comparisons and everytime I look I always have to say THEY STILL AREN'T BETTER THAN SURPLUS COMPUTERS.
Another things I appreciate about Surplus Computers is they even provide you with house supplies when they mail you or myself, and they provide help with computer parts that have difficulty. It dont even cost much so why go out and spend your money on Home Depot and big stores when you can go to the computer heaven Surplus Computers.

should have been creditted. Since it wasn't, this order# 133384 iis the FINAL order we have ever placed with SurplusComputers.
I feel this is a lousy way to do business on the part of SurplusComputers, so we ceased business.
