"I am a T-Mobile Partner and I have bought and sold over 100 devices on Swappa. Never one issue. Best place on the planet to buy a phone, whether new, or used. I have over 16,000 active subscribers and I send them all to Swappa!! Thank you Swappa for yet another positive phone experience"
"Swappa offers protections from stolen or damaged merchandise, and because of that the quality of products they offer are better than other resellers. We've purchased several replacement phones for ourselves, but also I was able to purchase four smartphones for 4 homeless families I work with - all four, good-quality working phones for less than $150. It's easier to get what you're looking for, too, because the site offers such a wide variety of brands and types of product."
"My second time buying a phone through Swappa and it has been a positive all around. I did make a boo-boo and bought a phone where the seller wasn't going to ship internationally. My bad, got my refund and moved on to buy from another seller. All in all a good experience and I highly recommend Swappa!"
"Great experience, phone was shipped very quickly and it was exactly as stated in the listing."
"got the exact phone I wanted for a great price in under 3 days!"
"I was nervous about buying a new phone online. I was happy to receive my new phone and did not have any problems getting it activated. Highly recommend. "
"I did make a misunderstanding of the condition of the root status of the phone. The seller did help clarify. No problem here.
Two gripes with this sale 1. Phone was very poorly represented with pictures shown, however found it arrive in the same description as listed. No real problem here, just poor practice.
2. The packaging was extremely poor during shipping, phone was wrapped in newspaper and tape. Then thrown in a box with the Charger and cord to bounce around from California to Missouri. Luckily none of those bumps was hard enough to damage the screen. I did inform the seller that it would be better to have good pictures of the phone on listings. And also that his packaging really could use some better work.
Those two are the reasons for the 4/5 rating.
I was able to verify that the phone was unlocked and ready for use.
Seller did ship phone within swappas requirements of two business days."
"Generally, I do not like used electronics, and I am not a person who switches his phone regularly - I held my last one for nearly 10 years. I had read about SWAPPA online and thought that it sounded like a good possibility to get a solid, "lightly used" product. And I was not disappointed.
My experience was very, very positive. I chose a professional seller on the SWAPPA platform, and I received an excellent phone at an excellent price - almost $150 under retail for an unlocked phone less than 12mths old.
I would trust SWAPPA again ... in nearly 10 years, maybe ;)"
"I've bought 3 phones off swappa over the span of the past 5ish years. They have always been in the condition that was described, and the swappa staff are professional, helpful people. I'll not buy a phone anywhere else."
"My family has used Swappa 4 or 5 times when our phones died unexpectedly and we needed fast, reliable transactions for used devices. #1 in customer service and high transaction standards!
"
"Most fastest and effective delivery. The phone is in excellent condition and looks brand new."
"I was in the market for a phone for a family member. Did all the research and found a phone we liked. Tried to negotiate with the seller--a "power seller" if you will--but they weren't having it, saying they felt that "the device [was] priced fairly for the condition that it is in." Fine. Paid for it, seller contacts me saying that the device would be shipped the same day. I get a tracking number. Great.
Two days later when the phone is still showing in pre-shipment, I contact the seller to see if it had been actually released to USPS. Over four hours later, the seller replies saying that they "are having trouble locating the package with the post office." Really? Well, I'm sorry for the trouble I caused, including forcing your hand in you having to issue a refund thanks to a paper trail of messages. $200 items just disappear at the post office sometimes, I guess.
I believe the seller either sold the phone off Swappa for more money, or felt like the device wasn't priced as fairly as they would have liked so they decided to not go through with the sale. All Swappa did was send me a boilerplate message saying that they were sorry the transaction didn't work out, this wasn't "the norm" and that they were refunding the $10 sale fee. Wanna know how I know this was an automated message? This transaction still shows up as an active sale in my profile! Which is great for the seller, as I can't review them and warn other new buyers like me...
I would have given them just one star, but I did go on to complete a sale with another buyer (an individual) who was much better to deal with, and thankfully, the phone they sold us is working as of the time this review was written. So this second star belongs to that particular seller, not Swappa."
"I bought a phone that was supposedly in mint condition, but when it arrived, the rear facing camera didn't work- at all. I tried every trouble shooting technique to try to fix it myself, but finally I gave up and asked the seller to take the phone back and give me a refund. Swappa mediated between the seller and I and promised me that the issue would be resolved. Eventually PayPal got involved and they really helped expedite the return process- they even paid for me to ship it back. Between Swappa and PayPal, I was able to get a full refund.
Eventually, because I knew I could trust Swappa if something went wrong again, I tried buying another phone. This time, the phone came exactly as advertised, and I am one happy customer. I recommend using this site. You can trust Swappa and PayPal. "
"Swappa is the only place I buy phones from! "
"My phone arrived in good order exactly as described. I was thrilled to be able to get the phone I wanted at such a reasonable price."
