"I switched to T-mobile because the price was better than my previous carrier. The coverage was worse, and my calls get dropped often. I was okay with it so long as I was saving money.
I decided to pay off my phones early because I had the money and it would lowered my bill. I paid one phone off online, and the other three in store.
That month my bill showed a negative balance. I asked in store and was told it was probably a credit from paying off the phones early.
Next cycle I get a notice that my bill was 150% more than I should have paid monthly. I went to the store and was told to call customer care. I talked with someone who said that they'd look into it.
The week my bill was due I called again. I was told don't do anything and we're still researching it. Then, the autopay took the money from my account.
I called and after more than a few hours and about 5 people a man named Alex said he would refund my money- he even sent me a text. A few days later, I get a text that my refund request was denied.
Their reasoning was that even though the website didn't warn how they would use the online payment I should have read the fine print! So, over half of my biweekly paycheck went to a phone bill and even though I tried to get answers to avoid sudden large charges their deceitful system and lying customer service paved the way for deceptive business policies.
You may get told $160 plus the price of phones, but watch out for a $500 surprise, for which they will not help nor apologize."
"I purchased a phone package during the Customer Appreciation Promotion.
This was a complete fraud on the American Public. T-Mobile has no appreciation
of its customers. Despite what CEO John Legere says it appears they will disguise
their promotions to appear as if they care. Believe me, they don't
I have tried to get this letter to T-Mobile, so far I haven't been successful.
Att: John Legere CEO,
Hello!
Mr. Legere, you Customer Appreciation Promotion has turned into one of the biggest disasters
I have faced with any cellphone company.
The so called Customer Sales Specialist who handled my purchase lied, (Note she is your employee). Yesterday I was on the phone with more than 10 Customer Sales Specialist.
The Sales Specialist did nothing but torment me during the more than 5 hours.
The serious issue is that they want to change what the original Customer Sales Representative
sold me.
I purchased the Customer Appreciation Promotion.
I'm supposed to get Mr. Legere's offer of 2 T-Mobile One lines with the third line free.
I complied with everything I was told by your representative. However now they are
changing what I agreed to.
Please look into how I was treated in my more than five hours of contact with them
yesterday, (March 9, 2017). You seem to be trying to grow your network, but you team
is not with you.
Customer Appreciation is the last description I would give what I purchased and how
I was treated.
This is Serious... The CEO is working in one direction, the work force wants another.
Someone has to be in charge. I hope to hear from you about my problems as
an In appreciated customer of T-Mobile.
The number I called your Customer Sales Specialist at is ***-***-****
Feel free to call me at this number to better understand how to fix the problems
which your employees have made worst.
I never agreed to what they are trying to sell me after the fact.
I have requested for the sales representatives to review the tape phone
conversation. When the phone sales tape is reviewed you will clearly see
what I agreed to purchase and what T-Mobile is trying to make me accept now.
Dumfounded by T-Mobile,
Apparently all of the Customer Sales Specialist are liars. I could not find one that was
truthful. I am continuing to try to get what I was sold, but this is a very time consuming
process. However I'm continuing to demand that I get what I Paid for.
If you are considering using this cellular service... BEWARE! It is not as easy as they
try to make it look. I believe the major carriers are competing to see which can be
the worst in the U.S.A. I don't understand WHY! One competes by outdoing the others
not by being more underhanded that all of the rest.
I will try to keep this review update, but I have much to do."
"In December 2016, my phone was broken. T Mobile by warranty ordered me a replacement. replacement came in two weeks. but the color was gold instead of silver. T Mobile has made re-order second time and a week later came again the gold iPhone . They explained this that the stock is not my color. but They did not ask if I want gold, and offered no other solutions. after my call to their service they have made third order on silver. It took about a month and there is no result. I was left without a phone for Christmas and New Year. the staff is too lazy and does not want to help. I am very angry. I spent a lot of time and nerves. And I am still without phone and will waiting . I need silver!!! I bought a silver and not some other color!!! Sorry for my English. My native language is Russian "
"WHAT a nightmare it was to move to t mobile! You can NEVER call and talk to a human EVER. You must call tell a robot your number so they can call you back between 5-30mins or they will never call you back.I had problems getting my old number on my new T mobile phone and each associate i talked to told me something different . I even went to a t mobile store and they were so rude to me and told me i needed to call their t mobile number. I went to another t mobile store and FINALLY after a WEEK a nice man helped me. After 30 days with T mobile i am going back to AT&T! Plus you never have service, terrible coverage, and unstable coverage "
"T-Mobile advertised cheap prices so I thought I'll give them a try, I spoke to different Representatives and both of them told me that there will be no charge if I disconnect service within the first 30 days if I don't like it, I started a plan with them but reception sucked anywhere I went so I called them up and they reassured again that there is no fees and I can stop the plan immediately which I did.
Now around a year later I started getting phone calls from collection agencies that I own $124 to T-Mobile, no one is able to explain what this money was for, I told there is no way I'm paying something that I don't owe, now they reported me to the credit bureau, and my credit is dropping...
I hope that anyone who reads this review will stay away from T-Mobile, otherwise you're more than likely be screwd by them as well...
Anywhere I look I only see bad reviews on them, why are they still operating??? Go figure..."
"I just want people out there to be careful when choosing a phone provider. T-Mobile is only after getting money from you and they do not care about customer's satisfactions. I had been with T-Mobile for about 5 years and I cannot say I really enjoyed the service or the customer service received. T-Mobile Rep will keep transferring you among themselves when you call in and when you finally have a rep to answer you, the rep will tell you one thing but watch it you will receive an exact opposite of what the rep told you. I got fed up with all these nightmare and decided to move my account to a different provider. When I talked to a rep on phone to ask for the procedure required to move my account, I was told to just ensure I pay off my outstanding bill and I will be able to port my phone numbers without any problem. I even went further to ask that if I pay my outstanding bill, will I still be owing T-Mobile if I closed my account the next day? The rep says I won't owe anything if I clear the outstanding bill. I did exactly what I was told and ported my phone numbers. But after a month, T-Mobile sent me a bill that I am owing them for the account I had closed. T-Mobile even went ahead to forward my name to collections as a debtor which is very embarrassing. I called T-Mobile customer service and I was told that the lines on my account were cancelled but the account is still opened. This to me does not add up but because I just wanted to get all these T-Mobile nightmare off my mind, I had to pay the bill over the phone since I cannot imagine myself going to pay in a T-Mobile store neither do I trust T-Mobile if I mail in my check to them since T-Mobile can claim they did not receive my check and further forward my name to credit bureau as a debtor to dent my credit history. I just hope that T-Mobile will get off my bad for good after this last experience."
"Each time I travel out of my state (Texas), the network is lost. At first I thought that the issue was with my phone and tried to adjust the settings, but didn't work. However, I didn't bother much about it the first time. But since then I have started traveling a lot, and the issue turns out to be in the T-mobile network and not my phone. I am currently visiting Denver for a conference, and I am so much in need to communicate with my fellow visitors. But thanks to the T-mobile poorest network, I can't even call people, let alone texts. Very dissatisfied."
"Hopefully this stays up here. T-Mobile, is a joke, they just swindled me out of $400 plus my iphone 6splus'. They have the worst coverage and no lte data no matter where I have gone in my state. I have one MAYBE two bars of service anywhere I go, if I'm lucky, and my calls keep dropping. I also have to call someone 5-6 times before they get my call. I've only been with T-Mobile for 3 days and this is the worst service, from customer service to coverage and data I have ever had. My nokia bar phone with tracfone worked better and that was some years ago!!
Remember when you sign that contract to turn your phones over, they can swindle you out off the phones and the money they offered you. They also tried to tell me the battery drains from jumping from tower to tower, that never happened at Verizon. I do not advise T-Mobile to anyone. They also are trying to charge me a $50 restocking fee for each phone after taking my $400. I am going back to Verizon, at least they work with you and have excellent customer service."
"So, I bought the htc m9 a year ago and since then I had to change it 3 times- it did not vibrate, then it did not charge, then it died suddenly for no reason. Each time I would lose my data completely. I paid $750. $12 a month for the insurance and almost $140 a month for the line. Then I talked to them to get a new phone as their phone did not work, all they did was SORRY! "
"Do NOT choose Tmobile. Filed an insurance claim and it got denied. Still owed money on the phone so im having to pay insurance PLUS the money i owe on the phone for a phone i don't even have. They are not specific on what you should do if the phone is dameged until they know for sure you can not use the insurance. Told me i had a 90 day window to file a claim the catch is I DID file within those 90 days and still got denied. Just a bunch of scammers. Will claim your bill will be cheap compared to other conpetitors but in actuality you're paying the same or even more with all the scamming and deceiving T-mobile does. I have NEVER wrote a review before. Trust me T- mobile is horrible as you can already tell by it's overall rating. Hope it goes out of business because they just scammed me out of my money. Wish i could rate negative stars. Trust me you make think I'm overexaggerating but I'm not. You'll thank me later once you realize you shouldn't go to T-mobile."
"There are no words that can be used to describe how much I dislike this carrier. Every month it never fails, there's always something. I attempted paying my phone down to get as FAR AWAY from T-Mobile as I can, only to find an extremely high bill the following month. Then you get those nasty, ignorant young people who hang up on you when you call with questions as to why your bill is so high. Instead of doing their job and explaining, they hang up. I'm UTTERLY disgusted with t mobile and I would NEVER recommend their services to anywho. I could care less if an employer or my business offered it for free. I'd rather go back to beepers and find a phone along the way. Ugh"
"Now that I just ended up paying off a $350 collection call on services I have never received, I am beyond livid with T-Mobile! I will fight, but I can't afford to have my credit destroyed.
If I could give T-Mobile a -5 rating, I would be all over that. My husband was enticed by their "money saving" slogans all over the place. All told, I'm pretty sure they've ended up costing up over $1000. To begin with, it took us months to switch over (yeah, let's not go there. Think happy marriage, people.) When they finally switched my phone, they failed to activate my SIM card and I was without a phone for 2 days. The phone I purchased was a piece of junk. It may have been the bottom of the line smart phone, but it should still have allowed me to download apps and receive text messages! Yes, I went in for assistance. Apparently I was using too much memory. With 10 pictures, 5 apps and a mini SD card? Really?
When I went to trade it in, I was told I should wait for one of my free upgrades. Or I could pay the $50 restocking fee. When I went in for the upgrade, they wouldn't take my phone back, but said I could pay it off and get a new one. Yeah, right!
I know their coverage area is pathetic, but even connected through wifi at home, I often ended calls short to text because the connection was so bad.
Customer service is routed through another country, so it's pointless to call for help. Go into a store and, although you can speak English, you're not going to get help either.
My advice is to never sign up with T-Mobile and if you're with them right now, go in, get a cancel of contract in writing and go find an real phone carrier."
"As with every trip and every phone we've ever owned, my husband was deployed and turned off every cellular, roaming and data button available on his iphone so that he did not incur international charges when abroad. Evidently, these buttons are meaningless and useless, because we still incurred over $1000 in charges and our account was suspended. He used his phone only on wi-fi when abroad - but was still charged for mobile services (despite turning everything off on the phone). When we called customer service, we were told that we needed to turn the entire phone off and not use it when outside the country - they reduced the charges but we still paid a hefty fee. I asked why have the buttons to turn off roaming, cellular and data if they don't actually turn anything off? I was told she didn't understand the question. Again, evidently the buttons do not work under t-mobile because they don't turn off your service even if you turn them off. Both our families travel extensively and none have ever heard of this kind of thing. These charges are incredibly sneaky and non-transparent. We are switching services to a more friendly company with less hidden fees. We should be able to use our device on wi-fi when abroad without incurring charges. "
"The insurance company tmobile is the meanest , cheater and thief that may exist, a deductible is STOLE for $ 175 from my bank account for coverage of a lost phone and then told me they did not apply for a new phone but has been almost 1 month and do not return me my $ 175 are thieves , in jail have to go all of them and the customer service is the worst thing that can be , do not hire the company tmobile and insurance less of them ."
"I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years and they royally f***** me! Take pics when you return your phone via warrenty. They personally damage your phone so that you have to pay for it! They can't even give me the phone back to prove it. Now I have to pay 450 dollars for a broken phone. Does that make any dam sense. They even told me my warrenty expired. Guess what? It wasn't even expired! They just wanted me to buy a new phone! My entire family is on t mobile. Now all 9 of us are canceling tonight and I am not paying for the broken **** phone. They are losing out."
