"Since you don’t have a physical PLUS SIZE store in Manhattan I am stuck with buying much less as I can’t try on clothes! This is a big mistake on Talbot’s part! No one in NYC is going to leave Manhattan to find clothes. And mail ordering is not a satisfactory solution for a plus sized person."

"The tens that I put are for an associate, that was a long time employee of Talbots. She was excellent and solved my problem.However, I had gotten two other associates since that didn’t know any of the The guidelines under which to make a return the information they were telling me I knew was wrong, and I almost had to have an argument to get them to listen to me. So sad that all associates are not trained correctly."

"Madam, Sir, I take this opportunity to comment on not one call, but two that I placed to Talbots, two days ago. I received an order last Friday, which as usual, did not disappoint me, except that the size was not right for me. So I called Customer Service to exchange it for a larger one. After being on hold for about 15 minutes, with this pounding music that still reverberates in my ear, a young man answered and after I explained to him my problem, to my amazement he said he would put me through to Customer Service and, without giving me time to answer, I was put on a dead line for 10 long minutes, while no one came to my aid. Hopeless I redialed the number, and after being stick to the phone for longer time than I had available, one of your associates came to my rescue. I explained to her the unpleasant incident I had just had. When I finished there was no reaction, no apology or kind words for what had happened, so I asked if there was anyone there, to which suddenly she replied affirmatively, without any empathy. She proceeded to take note of my order telling me that they would not accept the exchange since, insisting several times, this article was FINAL SALE. Obviously she was not looking at my order where no such indication appeared. Only when I insisted to look at it, she realized that indeed, she was wrong. She noted my new order with the correct size and said goodbye. The many years I have been a loyal Talbots customer, indicate the satisfaction I always feel for their stylish and good quality clothing, as well as the kindness with which I have always been treated by its associates. It is for all these reasons that I have recommended them to friends and acquaintances, when they have told me how much they liked what I was wearing. However, this telephone issue was very unfortunate."

"Please open another store in Athens, Georgia. Your store here closed several years ago due to problems with the shopping center management. We miss you! There are no convenient Talbots shops. Ordering always presents size and style problems. Help!"

"I am very disappointed and shocked that you have stopped box with ribbon,gift card with message and why would you eliminate gift receipts. I spent over $700 and sending gifts, only to know that they will arrive with not knowing who sent these items and to have to wrap your own Christmas gifts!! I can’t believe Talbots has gone down hill with not serving their customers in a better way,Talbots was always known for taking good care of their customers. I will think twice about ordering in the future after almost 50 years! I would like some response as to why this is happening. Thank you from a long customer who is I very upset."

"This was an extremely frustrating situation as it was the fifth package that was supposedly delivered by UPS that went missing in less than 30 days. Your associate was amazing, put me at ease, got me a credit and reordered the cardigan and is having it shipped to my local Talbots. Well done!"

"Ordering online or by phone is horrific !!!!Total time between holding AND leaving my number to be called back was in excess of 2 plus hours !!!No one ever returned my call after at least 11/2 hours, so finally called back and waited about 35 minutes.This is not a new problem, and I have had quite a bit to say about it. No one has ever followed up or offered any explanation. I am at least 70 miles to the nearest Talbots store, so I try to order by phone fairly often.Once I did get an associate, she was wonderful and very understanding of my frustration—even though it was out of her control.I have shopped at Talbots since I was in college —about 55 years ago !!!Something desperately needs to be done."

"Associate was not the best, but prob. stressed and having a not great day. Not really personable at all or friendly - as I said - prob not having a good day. She did seem to know what she was doing, and my exchanges appear to be in process. I have not so great days too, so, I think that may have been the problem. Don't go on this survey alone, unless there are a lot of others saying the same thing. If I had an actual complaint I would have said it. Still shopping at Talbots!"
