"I ordered an AMD Opteron 146 socket 939 while it was on backorder. Tankguys still had it at a reasonable price compared to other companies that were price jacking such as Newegg and Monarch.
When the shipment came in they informed me which stepping I was going to get (CAB2E 0540 FPMW) in case I wanted to try for a better stepping.
Prior to ordering I had sent private messages to Tankguys on the Anandtech forums and was promptly replied to. Tank worked with me to ensure I was getting what I wanted and even checked their stock for items that were not listed on their website.
