"Terrible experience. I will never shop at Target again. Decided to give it another try despite having difficulties there in the past with extremely long lines on a weekday, no cashiers etc. ordered online because price was $12 higher in store (what’s this all about?). Arrived at store early (before the 2 hours) and found my items on counter for pick up. I was denied pick up of items even though they were right there at customer service. The store manager told me I would have to wait there the entire 2 hours and then pick the items up. When I said that was ridiculous he suggested I take my two young grandkids to get ice cream somewhere and come back. I ended up canceling the order. And buying again (toys for grandkids whom were quite disappointed when they were told they couldn’t get their toys I had already paid for) with a demand for website price matching. In the end they got their toys but not without 45 minutes of wasted time and effort for products that were sitting in the counter at customer service. The manager was kind enough but was put into a bad situation due to what he termed corporates procedures and policies that did not allow for any deviations. "

After spending 30 minutes on the phone with customer service all they could do was issue me a new card that would take 7 to 10 business days to come in. If you think about it, Target benefits from this because if one is desperate enough for the item that they need they will be forced to use their credit card to purchase while having to wait for the gift card to come in. In this, the corporation gets even more money out of the customer. You are slimy, Target. I won’t be back. "
