"After receiving my order is ready for pickup email after a couple hours, I went to the Target store and there was a line at the order counter. I stood in line with no person at the counter for about 15 minutes wondering what's going on. Finally, a person pushing a cart of product came through the store and handed them to the people ahead of me. Then when they asked about my order, I had to wait additional time while they went to get my order from the store shelves. It took about ,20 minutes of me standing around to get my online order. I then realized I had ordered the wrong size of the product and went to the returns counter to exchange. I didn't have my credit card with me and asked if I could get the correct sized product so we could do everything in one transaction, but was told no. I then asked if I ordered the correct sized product online how long it would take and I was told 2 hours. The correct sized product was sitting on the store shelves. I returned the incorrect product, then ordered the correct size online. I received my order ready email after a couple hours and when I went to the store about 5 hours later, after waiting alone at the order counter for about 10 minutes, the order counter employee finally showed up from the store aisles. I then had to wait more time while he retrieved the correct size product from the store shelves. Completely ridiculous and completely flips the whole order online for faster service and convenience idea on its head. Never ever going through that again. Illogical."
"I was reminded on this shopping trip why I prefer shopping online and at other stores. So many shelves were empty and stock was low on many items and several of the items I wanted were out of stock. It gave the feeling of being in a store amid a going out of business sale.
I noticed a deal on first aid products: buy 3 qualifying products and get a first aid bag free. So I put three qualifying items in my basket along with the free bag. At checkout, the Target app that I use to pay instead of carrying around my Target card had disconnected my Target card and I was unable to reconnect it on the spot while trying to checkout. Frustrating me and everyone in line behind me. So I ended up paying with another card and didn't receive my 5% discount. I was so flustered by the checkout experience that I didn't notice until I got home that I was charged for the first aid bag that was supposed to be free.
An overall disappointing and frustrating experience and now I have to spend time and energy to navigate a customer service labyrinth to try and get reimbursed for the bag that should have been free. "
