"I ordered an alternator from the AutoPartsShop for my Toyota in June 2010. It arrived promptly but I didn't get around to putting it in my car right away. I've been riding my bike to work for years and don't use my car all that often, so I was in no big hurry. I knew I could install the replacement alternator in less than an hour if I needed to. Before I knew it a month had gone by before I got around to installing it. Finally, I went to put it in only to discover that one of the electrical socket connections did't match up to what was on my car. I had ordered the 80 amp alternator and I should have ordered the 70 amp alternator. A few more days went by before I finally called TheAutoPartsShop. It was a Saturday and I got a message stating that they were closed. I had a hectic week and didn't get around to calling until later in the week. It was now about 5 1/2 weeks since I had received the alternator. I finally got ahold of someone at the Shop and he told me that they only take returns for up to 30 days. I explained what happened and after some pleading, he agreed to take the alternator back as long as I ordered the correct one from them. I did and I got my refund on the first one and then got my core fee returned soon after sending that one back. I was clearly wrong for missing the 30 day window, but TheAutoPartsShop was still more than fair with me. They lived up to their claim of 100% customer satisfaction. That is why I am going to the trouble of writing this review."
"After doing some research on price and vendor reliability, I ordered a rack/pinion assembly for my VW from TheAutoPartsShop.com. The price was right, it arrived in a timely manner, and my mechanic had no issues installing it. Returning for the Core deposit was easy as well. My only caveat is that the parts description on their website indicated that the tie rods were included, but my mechanic said that wasn't the case. Luckily the original ones were OK and he was able to reuse them.
Overall, I was pleased with their price and service and would order from them again."

"I placed an order with them from there web site on Wednesday. It showed in stock. I am in the middle of rebuilding my transmission and was in need of the part. I got it 2 day air so that I could have for the weekend. I got a conformation. It never showed up. I called them the following Monday and they said they was shipping it out today. About an hour later I get a e-mail saying that the part was out of stock. i called them and ask why did they tell me it was in stock the lady on the other end was really rude and said its not her department! So I asked when will they get the part in. She said she don't know and hung up on me. I called back and talked to a manager and he acted like he was to busy to deal with a $5 part and didn't even look to see if there was a different set that I could have used. Would have been nice to have options. I canceled my order. Would I buy from them again, maybe. They did have the best price on the net. I do believe in second chances so will have to see. "

"What happened to me was pretty much what happened to a lot of other customers. The part that was advertised as being available, was not! That, I only found out "after" I paid for it, and it wasn't until I called the next day did I actually find this out. Other than that, the customer service was professional and I have no complaints in that department. What they should do, is when a part is not on hand, "Say So!" in a caption or something. Don't have us go and buy it, then find out it's not! That's lame! Please try and correct that particular issue, and I think you'll have a very good customer based reviews of satisfaction. Just that small correction in your online service and you'll have a home run for customer satisfaction 100%...Wouldn't that be worth it?"
