"The customer service is outstanding! I had to call a couple of times and both representatives I spoke with were helpful, polite and concientious. I was told when the issue would be resolved and the email address to send more information to. One of the gentlemen said he'd follow up on Monday to see that the issue really was resolved. He actually remembered and emailed me on Monday. I was amazed! "

"one day the Neat system quit working. It was after I performed an update. I have lost all scanned documents. After numerous e-mail conversations, basically telling me to read directions, I gave up. I've started over with a new, Epson system. "

"Great little device, when it works. I would say that the optical recognition works 50% of the time. And the scanner tends to jam up, especially with credit card size bills.

Not too sure if I would purchase the product again.

"After purchasing neat there is a weird incompatibility with my wifi device. Neats level of tech support is non existent - I am an IT consultant so when I have an Issue its not something that I haven't already troubleshot myself - all I got as a response from them is canned BS from their website, which I have already read. Even after letting them know that they obviously didn't read or understand the question I posed to them I still got the here read this article crap. - so as it stands I must replace my equipment; that works with all my other devices, in order to use theirs...."

"The Neat Desk has helped my husband and I be able to organize our business's expenses so that when tax time rolls around, it is just a click of a button to run off the report for the accountant. The only thing that is a little downfall is the downloading of the scanner receipt into the computer takes a minute or two, but i usually scan many receipts that fall into the same category and walk away until they are all downloaded so i can review them. It also has trouble reading handwritten receipts, but overall saves us lots of time and now will allow us to be more organized in our office. "

"The software for the computer and online are completely different. It would be nice if I could search for anything on the software instead of on the cloud without all the issues of the charactors we cant use. The cloud is sometimes too slow and also I cannot edit any receipts on the cloud. In addition for the actual software for the computer one really annoying thing is that when I do edit a receipt, it doesn't save it, so I when I go back I have to fix it again.
It would also be nice if I could just save a file in neat not have to back it up like in quicken. Speaking about Quicken, I was not able to figure out how to get it to work with each other. Maybe it can be done, but neat was not built it seems for simplicity. Another thing that really annoyed me too, was that when I tried to search for something it brought up things that had nothing to do with the word I put in search bar. I just want it to bring up things that has that word or number... It would also be nice to be able to search from a specific folder, not just the entire cloud of folders. Over all, it is nice to have the cloud and the software, but when you can't do the same things in both, and when they both look different, I would think it would bother people.
I was really disappointed when I paid for the cloud and come to find out it is not the same set up as the software. I had no clue. When describing the cloud service it should let people know it is different than the software. Some things were better, and other things were much worse. I think if I had the choice to choose the cloud or not. I would say no. Make it more like Quicken.

"I am a big fan of Neat Receipts and own both of their other units. For the additional price of the wireless scanner I have been surprised by it's inability to get a signal. All other devices pick up the wireless signal but the scanner. It goes offline a lot and freezes when connected directly to my laptop which is nice and new so not full and loaded with things to cause this. It's also not clear when it is offline and therefore did not send something via email. "

"After speaking with four customer service agents, two promised to get back to me and did not. Very inexperienced and did not follow through. There is a recurring problem but their only way of resolving it is for me to spend hours trying to dig through my application files and solve the problem myself. The last rep. was the worst. I wrote a cordial email detailing the problem and got back an email directing me to website directions. He asked me to email him back if I had any more questions. I did exactly what the website stated, and used his recommendations - still not working. So I emailed him back saying I've done everything he said. Got back an email reply saying got to website and try suggestions there - twice. It almost seems like an automatic reply. Their service is terrible! I don't recommend this product. Very very dissatisfied."

"The one thing to me that makes the Neat Co experience #1 is the fact the no matter who I talked to everyone was consistent with the information I was inquiring about. In this day and age where one company has different reps that have different answers to the same question or inquiry it's peace of mind to know the Neat Company has a staff that is all on the same page. This made my experience very satisfying and secure that I was dealing with a reputable business partner awesome Cloud Machine as well! "
