" Apparently Threestoreonline.com is a site that list may items as available when really it is not in stock. To a degree that is bad business practice. On the good side they will call you and offer item(s) along the same line even thou it may be a different brand and will match the price of original item when possible and if not satisfied you can return within 14 days. They should have a system where you can track the status of your item other then an email that advises it has been shipped. To date have not received the item so I cannot evaluate the replacement item to what I originally had ordered. "
"I had a good experience with theestoreonline.com. They contacted me to let me know the item I purchased was on back order for 3 weeks and they upgraded my purchase to a better one for the same price!! "
"Also a victim of bait and switch. Found the battery charger I needed for $25. Reasonable price. In stock. The day after I got a call about a problem with my order. Turns out...it was on back order. I was then offered a different product...an upgrade for $50. I am concerned about using a non OEM charger, but my choices are few. They sold a product, but they forever lost a customer.
9/3/13 Got a call from Mike the CSR. Offered me $25 to "make me happy" I appreciate his offer, but this was never about the money. It was about business practices. I did not write a poor review to get something. I wrote the review to inform others of my experience. My advice for Theestoreonline is that if you see the same customer reviews over and over, and we all are reporting the same thing...maybe YOU are the problem, and you should take action to remedy the way YOU do business. I run a business, and if I ran mine like you run yours...I would be out of business in a year. Have in inventory what you say you have. Ship people what they order. Do what you say you do. "
"Bait and switch. I ordered a Canon 430EX II Speedlite flash for my camera. I ordered it because it was the lowest price advertised on the web. However, it was too good to be true. A few hours after I placed my order I recieved a phone call stating the item I purchased is on nation wide back order from Canon and that it would not be available for 5-6 weeks (that was a straight up lie because I called Canon and there is no such back order on this product). The representative tried convincing me to purchase a Vivitar bandname flash, he was telling about all the features on the Vivitar and how great of a product it was compared to the Canon flash. I informed the representative that I was not interested in a Vivitar flash and had I been interested in a Vivitar flash, I would have ordered a Vivitar flash. I asked him to cancel my order. I recieved an email a few minutes later stating that my order had been canceled. I am really hoping that they don't charge my credit card. This whole thing seemed fishy to me. So I did some research and I came to find out that it is common practice for theestoreonline.com to do this bait and switch stuff - just read the other reviews and you'll see I'm not the only one that was lured with this bait and switch technique. I DO NOT RECOMMEND PLACING ORDERS ON THIS WEBSITE UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO HAVE THEM SELL YOU SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAN WHAT YOU ORDERED. There should be laws against this type of activity if there are not already laws in place. Government officials are welcome to contact me about my experience if they wish.
***Update*** a representative called me today (the next day after writing my review above) and he informed me that they made a mistake and that they did have the Canon flash in stock and that he was willing to drop the price to $200 for my inconvenience (but I know very well that he was just pulling my chain). I informed the representative that I had done my research on other reviews and my conclusion was that they only give false promises. I told the representative that if they wanted to make good on the review that they could send me my order free of charge. He said that he was not in the business of buying reviews. I replied by telling him that I am not in the business of having my time wasted and that I was not going to change my review. He hung up the phone on me.
***Reply to the comment below from theestoreonline.com*** What IS a shame is the fact that your business uses a bait and switch technique. There's no lie about that, just read the other reviews. The reviews speak for themselves. I'm not a sucker and I won't fall for your trickery. "
"WOW! After reading all the reviews, I would have told customer service when they called to forget about the order when she told me my item was not in stock and offered a more expensive option like all the other reviews said. Customer service was friendly but, was she friendly just to get me to buy a more expensive product. sounds like a scam. I didn't receive it yet and hope I have no problems."
"I have not received my order yet but dealing with these folks so far has been great. No problems. I'm sure I will be a return customer."
"The website is very user friendly. and the staff are very helpful & knowledgeable."
"I was searching for a specific model of camera battery online and was concerned that I was not finding exactly what I wanted. There were several sites that claimed that their battery would do what was needed, but I was leery. I was very happy to discover the exact model I wanted at theestoreonline.
After I ordered it, I received a call from theestoreonline that further explained what I could get -- and since that model was not currently available, recommended an alternative that would be even better, including an excellent warranty. I was happy to approve the alternate, which I received in only a couple of business days."
"After talking to someone at the estore online customerbservice they offer me a lower price for the replacement battery I received. I can now say they are really the lowest price available. Thank you."
"The batteries I ordered were on back order so customer service called me to advise me. They offered me a different battery with a longer warranty and life at half price and then gave me a new shopper coupon! My actual price was basically the same as the original battery I initially ordered. My order shipped out the same day. Great communication and great service. Thanks for the discount and thanks for the coupon!"
"LET THE BUYER BEWARE!! This is very clearly their MO - they call you immediately after your order to tell you the genuine Canon battery is out of stock but that they have a great deal for you: for only a few dollars more they will send you TWO off brand batteries. After this happened I felt uneasy about this and posted a negative review. After I posted a negative review, I received a call from a gentleman who claimed to be the owner, and he apologized for the inconvenience and that he would send me two genuine Canon batteries right away AT NO COST if I would update my review. I told him I would put a neutral review on until I received the free batteries. A week later I received only ONE battery AND THEY CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD FOR SHIPPING! I have waited several more weeks to see if anything else showed up, but nothing has. Absolutely avoid these scam artists at all costs!!"
"at first I was very happy with my purchase, but it turned out that they didn't have the product in stock as the website said so they called me and offered a comparable product. When I received it (I think a day later) I wasn't happy with it so I let them know. After complaining at customer service (they connected me to Brad/Supervisor) I can't say anything bad about them no more as they did everything possible to make me a happy customer."
"the item purchased did not work, but the store is working to resolve. Thanks to Michael."
"Great personal service with my order!! Ordered a factory Nikon EN-EL14 camera battery but Teestoreonline contacted me immediately and offered a better option on a high capacity equivalent battery at a slight additional cost. The shipment arrived in speedy fashion! Most satisfied with the transaction!!"
"After reading some other reviews, I can see that this store does not sell the items listed as in stock on the website and calls you the day you place the order to offer you a more expensive item, making it enticing to buy up. I did buy the item offered but wonder why the website says they have the item originally ordered in stock. I hope when I receive my item it is worth purchasing."
