"Do not buy from this company! Took 6 days on a 2 day shipment. The phone I received was a peice of junk! chipped paint, flimsy, unstable body, screen kept refreshing, battery only lasted 2 days, and would shut off. Thrifty computer said I must send the phone back in exact shipping materials and then they would send me another phone. They would not send me a phone first so I would have to be without for weeks. "I purchased two cell phones: a Samsung SGH-T629 and an LG 290. Within a couple of days the LG arrived in the mail but there was no Samsung phone. I waited a week to see if it would come and when it did not, I contacted Thrifty Computer by email. Within seconds I received an response. I explain the problem and the agent promised it would be taken care of and within a couple of days I received the Samsung in the mail. I am very satidfied with the service I received and I will shop with Thrift Computer again. The phones were exactly as advertised and I could not be more pleased. "Like so many others, I ordered a product from this "merchant", and am now waiting in excess of 2-days for the product to arrive. I've received 1 reply email with a simple "Yes." when asked if they will send an email when the product ships. Shipping should have occurred relatively soon after the order processed, but that does not seem to be the case. I am ready to open a dispute with PayPal, and/or demand overnight shipping at the merchant's expense. UNLIKELY THAT I WILL EVERY BUY FROM THIS MERCHANT AGAIN. It's not a surprise that they don't subscribe to your service for monitoring & responding to consumer feedback/comments. They're apparently not interested in how we perceive them.
UPDATE: Following contact with the merchant, shipment was initiated on 09/02/08 and the item arrived on 09/04/08. I still doubt any future likelihood of ordering from this merchant anytime soon. The order placed on 08/25/08 may never have arrived had I not contacted the merchant following some other similar negative reviews. In defense of the merchant, he appears to have some technological issues which contribute to these shipping delays - not an excuse - but rather more of a 'heads up' for others. I think once he resolves the technical issues, he should be a reliable merchant."

I login and it says not yet shipped and I have made 30+ attempts to make contact via phone, email, and google checkout to resolve with no response from Thrifty Computer. "I ordered a headset for my cell phone. The order took a little longer than expected, but they were having computer problems (so it was understandable). I received my product in excellent condition, but it wasn't the right product for me. I sent it back for a refund and my account was credited with no questions asked and in a very timely manner. "Ok folks, Thrifty needs help in several areas. In the end, I got what I ordered, but what a nightmare it was to get it.
I placed my order on 7/1/08 and immediately received an automated order response. I heard nothing for 6 days. ThriftyComputer.com states "Fast Shipping" and "2 day priority" and I'd seen nothing in the mail. I decided to write an e-mail to get a status update. No reply was given. I tried again the following day and still heard nothing. I then began digging and looking for phone numbers for ThriftyComputer. After finding a residence phone number for which the website is registered, I tried calling for three days and got no answer. I then opened a dispute with PayPal.
I'd seen here on ResellerRatings that ThriftyComputer sold items on eBay and I knew that someone had been working at Thrifty within the last day as there were feedback responses from Thrifty on his Feedback page! Why didn't someone respond to my original e-mails! So I decided to contact them through my eBay account. I couldn't believe that I got a response. They claimed that my order had shipped on 7/3/08 and included the USPS tracking number. Yes, the item shipped on 7/3, but not with priority shipping!
I ended up receiving my order on 7/11. The box had been opened (I was told that 100 units were sent to them and this is why the box was cracked) and taped shut, but all items inside appeared brand new, no items were missing, and everything was still sealed in factory envelopes.
I ended up complaining a bit more about the shipping problems and was told that they mixed up my order (through ThriftyComputer.com) with their normal eBay auctions which do not ship via priority mail. I was able to get a refund on my shipping charges.
My recommendation is to be VERY wary of ordering from this vendor. Communication is absolutely horrible and attention to detail is lacking.
