"Everything worked great. I took my time since this was the first time I ever converted/refilled a laserjet cartridge, but in the future I expect it will take 5-10 minutes. Instructions included are excellent! I had a starter cartridge and replacement cartridge to refill for a BROTHER 2270WD and forgot which was which, but was able to figure it out just from the instructions/pictures included. For future reference it may be a good idea to include in the instructions on how to differentiate between different types of cartridges, since folks usually throw out the boxes, but this is not a huge issue; as I said I figured it out just from the pictures in the instructions.
Otherwise, great job on the details of the instructions and thanks for the kit materials. Also I want to say thank you for the follow up call on my order; though it turned out there was no error, it's nice to know that folks are paying attention to potential inconsistencies with orders. Overall excellent product and service!"

“Thank you, very much, for your review, Michael.
We try our best to never disappoint any of our customers (we're not perfect, but that is what we aim for).
I can't comment with any specifics on the other companies you have tried and been disappointed by, but, I can tell you with absolute certainty that after being in the toner, toner remanufacturing and toner refill kit business for 25 years, there are huge differences in the quality of toner available out there (made by hundreds of manufacturers around the world).
As with anything, there is a small number of great manufacturers and the rest range from "okay" to downright awful.
To further complicate the issue, even among the great manufacturers, we haven't found any of them that have great toner for every single machine for which they offer toner so we have to pick and choose from their product line and test the daylights out of it before our customers ever have a chance to order for that series from us.
Unfortunately, many (if not most) of our "competitors" don't test the toners they buy, they simply find a supplier somewhere, buy any/all of their toner from that single suppliers, assume their toner works and then sell it.
Obviously, you have seen what that approach brings...
You might ask yourself why other companies don't bother testing the toner they are buying before they sell it to the unsuspecting public (in effect foisting the responsibility of quality control and assurance on the end user) and the answer is simple, they don't care, they don't want to take the time or spend the money to do so.
The money necessary to properly test toner is significant because in order to properly test the toner you have to use it in the same underlying "engined" machine that the customer will be using it in and that means buying literally hundreds of machines.
(Our printer "farm" currently has nearly 300 machines in it and those not only cost a bunch, but they take up a ton of space.)
In addition, you have to test multiple batches of toner from multiple manufacturers throughout multiple complete cartridge life cycles (which means having quantities of one-use empties and reams and reams and reams of paper!)
You also have to invest in the manpower to source the toner, perform those multiple tests, compile the results, etc.
(In fact, when I started this biz over 25 years ago, I couldn't understand how anyone could expect to succeed in this business if they didn't take the same approach as we do. I fully believe that is one of the primary reasons we are still here and literally thousands of international "competitors" have disappeared.)
As always, if we may ever be of service, you know where to find us (and, I don't know if you noticed, but we are now open 8am - 8pm M - F (ET)).
Thank you, again, for your long-term patronage and your review.

"Wow! They are fast with delivery, and the kits are very complete and easy to use. I found the larger caps easier to fill with than those little squirt tips -- no spillage, and you can see easily how much is coming out. "
"I'm a returning customer of TonerRefillKits.com and they delivered yet agian a great profuct at a great price. The shipping was fast via USPS with no brokerage fees.
They offer a truly complete toner refill kit with complete instructions, pictures and tools needed to perform the job quickly, easily and without making a mess.
Did I mention that they saved me a bunch of money? Yep, I couldn't be happier. Great Job! "
“Hello, Kris!
Thank you, so much, for the review and kind words. I am delighted to know you really, really like us (tip of the hat to Sally Fields for that acceptance speech)!
If there is ever anything you feel we could do better or if you ever have a problem, let us know (that's the only way we'll ever hit that elusive "10" rating.)
Thank you, again,

"I have used TonerRefillKits for years. They have always gone above and beyond in their service. I highly recommend them!"
"I have dealt with TRK 2 or 3 times now and have never yet had a transaction via the web as good. I had one technical issue, and it was rectified immediately by a phone call to me. There was another followup phone call to me to make sure all was well. #1 service, #1 staff. I pass on my experience to everyone I can!!! "
"I had placed an order. Unknown to me I had not placed the order correctly. I received a call from Toner refill kits and they informed me of the problem and corrected my order! Very fast and very efficient."
"I have been using tonerrefillkits for quite some time now. Their products have saved me alot of money compared to the brand name replacements. If I ever have a question or concern the staff, especially Oscar, have been very helpful in finding a solution. In this day and age of poor customer service I have been pleasantly surprised with my buying experience. "
"My toner arrived just as the e-mail said. Everything I ordered was perfect. Service was great."
"As previously, it was a breeze ordering the necessary items. Very impressed with the ease of finding my particular printers and the correct refill kits. Free shipping and getting a discount besides, were icing on the cake! Customer follow up was superior, very happy camper....."
"What a great deal! Fantastic customer service, great instructions on how to install re-fills. This is my new home for toner needs! "
"Thank you for the delivery time it was very fast was delivered in 3 days"
"After reading several reviews, I ordered a refill kit and the refill tool kit. I received a call the next day confirming my order and letting me know that they have "people" answering the phones if I need help. Wow!
I received the kit two days later, with a 23-step instruction sheet and thought perhaps I had made a mistake. To the contrary, the instructions were so well written, it only took me 20 minutes to refill and install the cartridge. And it prints great."
"Excellent, all over again! Not only great, fast service and delivery - but great instructions for getting the job done efficiently and cleanly. Fourth time just as consistent as the first.
How many re-orders before we get a week at Disney?"
"ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT!!!!!"
A rep from TonerRefillKits.com, TonerRefillKits.com, has responded:
“Good morning and thank you for the great, in-depth review of our company and its products.
Thank you, also, for saying that our instructions are "excellent".
Even though I knew that refilling your own toner cartridge was easy, it occurred to me that riding a bicycle is also easy... once you know how.
But, to someone who has never ridden a bicycle before (or filled your own cartridge before), if someone tries to explain to you how "easy" it is, they will look at you like you are from Pluto.
So, over ten years ago I decided that we would make the best instructions in the entire toner refill universe by making them as detailed as possible (nothing left to the imagination) as well as making them full color (with tons of pictures).
(Believe it or not, we have actually had people say our instructions are "too detailed", to which I reply, "What parts would you like us to leave out?" or "Have you ever assembled a piece of furniture from Ikea (with the stick figures, no pictures and no written words)?")
Your suggestion about making certain the instructions for the Brother HL-2270WD include pictures and descriptions explaining how to differentiate the starter cartridge (the one that came with the printer, initially) from the "real" cartridges (the ones purchased after the starter cartridge goes "toner low"), is a good one.
(We have instructions specific to the starter cartridge, included with our kit specific to the starter cartridge, and we have separate instructions for the non-starter cartridge included with our kit for those non-starter cartridges, but it never occurred to me that there might be many people in your position where they might have both and not able to easily discern the differences.)
As for the follow-up call we make before shipping the order, it has helped correct incorrect orders so many times, that, in and of itself is reason to do it.
But, in the majority of the cases where the customer did order exactly what they needed (and also this sentiment applies to people who accidentally ordered the wrong item), our desire is to sincerely convey our thanks for allowing us to supply you with your printer consumables.
Corny as it might sound, for 25 years we have been keenly aware that without all of you, there would be no "TonerRefillKits.com" us!
Thank you, again, for your business, your kind review and the suggestion.
