Interestingly, enough, all except one Toyota dealers told me that this part is not available with no estimated time of arrival and they were caring it for even a lower price. "

"I had to replace a front pipe assembly on a 2019 Prius AWD.
Prior to placing the order, since I had two possible part numbers and both were in excess of a $1000, I needed to ensure that I was ordering the right part. I was not interested in having to do a return, and cause delays in repairing the Prius, because it consumed coolant fluid at an almost alarming rate.

Lets start with the not so good.
I attempted to contact toyotapartsdirect.ca first via email...never got a reply.
Tried the online chat.....never got a reply.
Tried calling.... was directed to either email or chat.
I managed to confirm the proper part number via a Toyota dealership, and then I placed the order.

Now the very good...
Sadly, the part is/was back order. toyotapartsdirect.ca informed me right away and offered to cancel the transaction. A back and forth correspondence occurred, and everytime there was an active offer to cancel the transaction, simple reason being, that once the order is placed for the part, there was no turning back.
At some point I was informed that the delay could be from 1 month to a year. Upon receiving that information, I made a few phone calls to other sources for Toyota parts in Canada and managed to locate the needed part in Western Canada, and they would deliver to Quebec.
I informed toyotapartsdirect.ca that I had located the part I needed elsewhere. And asked if they would accept to cancel my order. This was done without questions asked. This was really appreciated on my part, since I had placed my order about a week before, and during the back and forth correspondence I showed my willingness to go through with the order everytime.
The transaction was not a successful one, but toyotapartsdirect.ca came through for me in the sense that they actively ensured that my needs and concerns were answered to.
