"This is the worse experience of used clothing online shopping websites I've ever had. I placed an order last Tuesday and contacted the seller to expedite the shipping. She agreed and assured me my order would be delivered this Tuesday since it's a Halloween costume and I needed it delivered on time. It's Thursday and I haven't received anything, not even tracking information. I've tried contacting the seller and she does not reply any of my messages. I also contacted the company and they are of no help either. They keep telling me that the only person able to cancel my order is the seller. I will never shop here again. "
"I had great luck with Tradesy in the past as a buyer. I was able to find shoes that were not on the store shelves anymore.
I have sold two items on Tradesy one without a problem at all the other was a completely different story.
I sold a pair of brand new shoes. They were listed as brand new but the condition I listed was gently used seeing as how they were on the shelf for awhile and I did not have the original box. They were sold and then I was credited my money two weeks later. A week later I got an email from Melissa (which I later read from reviewers on multiple sites that other customers received the SAME LETTER). The letter states "The item was returned and after a thorough inspection here at Tradesy, we determined that the listing wasn't accurate enough to give the buyer the full picture of the item's condition, and therefore a full refund was issued to them and the earnings were pulled from the sale:"
I contacted the buyer directly and here is why my buyer returned the shoes and what she had to say "There was nothing unclear about the listing. I thought they were lovely shoes and I wanted to wear them at my grandson's wedding. They matched my dress well. When I tried them on one of my toes felt pinched. Because I was going to be wearing them all day and dancing at night I knew they were not going to work. They are beautiful shoes and I wish they would have fit better."
According to Tradesy this should be a credit to her and then Tradesy has to resell the shoes.
I have gone back and forth with "Melissa" via email and asked for her number but she does not give it out. Along with another email stating "I would recommend listing these shoes in "Gently Used" condition, as there are normal signs of wear throughout them. Per our return policy, anytime an item is returned, it is checked for authenticity and misrepresentation. As the shoes are listed in "Like New" condition, but show signs of wear, we would consider this misrepresentation. "
Yesterday I received my shoes back these shoes have NEVER been worn and are the soles are SPOTLESS.
I can not get Tradesy to call me and I will NEVER buy another item on this site or sell another item. BEWARE
"
"Its an excellent way to sell! I've sold several high end bags, shoes, dresses etc without any difficulty, I received top dollars and even got to keep my money after the person who purchased returned the item. I highly recommend and will continue to use the site again and again. "
"I have had nothing but bad luck on this site. First pair of shoes were fake Stuart Weitzmann. It took me a while to realize they were misrepresented and so I was only given a credit. Next I tried to buy a Louis Vuitton cosmetic bag and the seller kept making excuses for not sending the bag and blaming me! When I told Joseph about this he would not refund my money because it was only a credit from the first pair of fake Stuart Weitzman Slip and Slides. If you look the pics of the shoes are blurry and they are cloth not mettalic leather. I have 4 pair of these shoes already and so i know it is a scam. Now since they won't give my money back I found another Louis Vuitton cosmetic bag I like and its $340 on this site -
Well the retail at the Louis Store on the same
bag is $325! And yes it is in stock!! Why would I buy a used bag and pay more?????? Worst site I have ever dealt with. "
"I bought a black barrel bag with tassel from Newfound Luxury site on Tradsey. I wanted a long Crossbody bag and from photo, chain hit below waist. Bag I got had shoulder strap. Box received in was crushed in and bag was floating around the bottom of the box, not in a pouch or plastic..just under a bunch of crumbled paper. Luxury? Not so much! Worst part was bag had a strong musty smell. Had to Lysol my office after opening. Not a good experience. Sending back and advised stra/ smell was misrepresented. Very unhappy!"

"I was abit nervous after purchasing from this site as I had did my research (AFTER buying a pair of Gucci heels) there were a lot of mixed reviews! Can't say how happy and thrilled I was with the fast shipping!! & that the item was exactly as discribed/advertised. "
"I purchased a bag from Shop Hers which merged with Tradsey and I went to sell the bag only to find out it was a fake!"
"Terrible experience, sellers are individuals and not verified. Received inauthentic merchandise and would only be given site credit. Going on 3 weeks and no resolution."

"My expieience with tradesy was amazing. Such a smooth transaction. Mirna m the lady I purchased from was so nice and kept in contact an on top of everything. My Louis Vuitton speedy 40 is amazing I'm so pleased will definitely purchase again "
"Total Rip Off... I purchased a Gucci handbag 800.00 and the Atlanta Gucci Shop tells me the bag is a total FAKE!!!
The seller swears the bag is real...
Stay away!!!"

"I have made a purchase for a Hermes bracelet, and after receiving the item, I took it to the local Hermes boutique in south coast plaza for verification of authenticity (just like what I do for any other items I buy). After Hermes was unable to verify (neither against nor in favor) the item and telling that they don't even carry that design/coloring, as well as telling me that based on the sizing and look, it is not even a men's bracelet, I decided to return the item in a week or so, but apparently that was too late according to their MOST STUPID 4-day return policy. They probably expect that people are all unemployed and have no life and all they do in life is to make business with Tradesy and to comply with their stupid policies. I did take the item to local Hermes boutique during my earliest chance, which was the labor day weekend, and got back to Tradesy on Tuesday morning September 6, but their stupid 4-day period has already been over on September 4!!!! I buy very regularly from online fashion vendors (RealReal, Zappos, TrueFacet, etc), and besides the extremely generous return period of 365 days from Zappos, the rest go based on a reasonable period of 10-14 days. Tradesy was a rip off!!
Furthermore, I had chosen to pay for the item from Affirm, and therefore, I could not take any action. If I had paid for the item through my credit card, I could easily dispute the transaction, but unfortunately the Tradesy-Affirm collaborative transaction that I made was a total ripoff, and I ended up paying $600+ for a bracelet that is both useless and uncertain of authenticity.
The Tradesy's customer service is a total ridiculous, they pretty much don't do anything except to repeat their stupid law over and over and over...
A total NO NO "
“Hello Danial,
I am sorry to hear about the negative experience you had on Tradesy. To clarify, a buyer may request a return within 4 days of receiving the item. Once this return request has been opened, the buyer then has 10 days to ship the item back to our Returns Team for review. Any time a buyer is unsure of the authenticity of an item, we recommend they send the item back to Tradesy so our Authentication Team may review the item in person. "This is the third time I purchase through Tradesy the previous two transactions were okay. This third one has me doubting I will ever purchase from them again. I purchased a Louis Vuitton cross body bag from them on August 29th. I was going away for the weekend and I asked the seller to hold of shipping it until Tuesday September 6th. That morning I emailed her and asked if the bag had been shipped and she informed me that it had and that I should receive tracking info shortly. She also told me it was going two day priority mail. I got no tracking info Tuesday or Wednesday. I then reached out to Tradesy to see if they could possible give me the tracking info. They provided the tracking info but told me it can take up to 48 hours for it to update. On Thursday September 8th there was still no movement on my purchase 3 days after the seller said she sent it two day priority. Later that afternoon I got an email from Tradesy stating they had noticed I had not received my purchase and that there was no movement on the tracking info. They asked me if I would like to cancel my order and I replied that I did. I had purchased the bag for an out of town event on Saturday and it didn't look like I would be receiving it on time. This morning low and behold I finally get some tracking info stating I would be receiving my purchase today but someone needed to sign for it. I was already at work when I received the email and could not get home to sign for it so it was returned back to the post office and I was told I could not pick up until after 5 on Monday. I also received a email from Tradesy stating they couldn't cancel my order because the item had shipped. If the bag had been shipped on Tuesday with two day priority the latest I should have received it was on Thursday. I 'm not happy with the customer service. I'm not talking about a $20 dollar purchase this was hundreds of dollars and honestly I am very very upset. I'm leaving out of town first thing tomorrow morning and now I had to go out and purchase another bag. This will be my last purchase with Tradesy!!!"
“Hello Yvgomez79,
I am sorry to hear about the negative experience you had on Tradesy. Generally, when a sale is made on Tradesy, the seller will ship out the item 3-5 days after the sale. A buyer should be given an update within 10 days of the item being purchased. In the event that no update is given, and more than 10 days elapses from the original purchase date, the buyer may reach out to Tradesy and request that the order be canceled. For more general information on how the ordering/returns process works, please follow this link:

"Would never buy anything on Tradesy again if I didn't have $520 credit they won't return. They allow people to sell fake things, and do not kick those people off of their site. There customer service is also horrible."
“Hello rckrone,
I apologize for the negative experience. Any seller who sells an inauthentic item on Tradesy runs the risk of having action taken against their account by our Trust Team. "I've been selling on tradesy very seriously for the past 5 months. I started about a yr ago.. just getting rid of my own stuff and eventually I started getting brand new items to sell. I have over 200 transactions-- my total sales revenue racked up to 180k+ . Most of them went well.. until recently. I've noticed tradesy returning more things to me. Also, recently, tradesy has suspended my account because they needed more photos of an item I sold. I gave in the photos 1 day later than they requested and they basically suspended my account. However, after I gave in photos they restored my account but I still lost the sale. I couldn't find any info on it. They have also started to ask me for more photos of some item that I just initally listed without any stock photos. I did not think this was problem because there was many big sellers doing the same thing. Anyways, nothing ever happened to them. They CONTINUE to list without any real photos but just stock photos, and they have only 300+ items listed that way. How unfair.. maybe it was because I only have an avg of 60 items listed so they decided to target me?
The last issue that really bothered me is when I sold a Nubuck bag.. tradesy refunded the buyer and claims my bag isn't in new condition and should be listed as gently used.
I wrote 3 long emails back to tradesy asking to dispute the refund because I have evidence (pictures and videos) of what I shipped out and I also stated that Nubuck leather is supposed to have a distress look to it. It can easily look faded when swiped with your hands because it's smiliar to suede and velvet.
The person who was in charge of this refunded basically said I should write that in the listing and educate buyers about the leather.
like WHAT THE HECK?!
I'm just a seller, and my photos clearly SHOWS the distressed look of this bag. But yet, tradesy return department still sided with the buyer... because she was ignorant.
Also, she had this bag for 3 days before asking for a refund, she could've easily kept touching the leather and made it worst for me.
Please note, this bag valued over $3000
which was WHY i took precautions and made videos and took extra pictures before shipping this item out. This item was indeed brand new when it LEFT MY HANDS.
I am done with tradesy.
After my funds are released from my pending sales.. I will slowly stop selling here and go back to ebay... where they would really appreciate my honesty as a seller and the precautions I take."
"Greatest transaction EVER @ nursesforpurses! The bag is like new "

“Hello akhjury,
I am so sorry to hear about your negative experiences on Tradesy.com. I recommend reaching out to our Returns Team directly in order to determine whether or not an exception can be made regarding your refund. In regard to pricing, that is one thing that is set exclusively by the seller of an item. Should you see that a price is higher than you believe it should be, you may always reach out to the seller in an effort to see whether or not they are willing to take a lower price for said item. That being said, we do encourage our sellers to price items fairly.
If you decide to reach our to our Returns Team, they may be reached via email at:
