"I brought a fragile item to UPS to be packed and shipped. I had great confidence in UPS, that is until I had a claim! While there was no question as to the extent of damage to the article I shipped, it took from May until November to receive the money owed me. I got the run around for months and it is not possible to reach the corporation to get satisfaction since each store is independently owned. NO MORE SHIPPING THROUGH UPS FOR ME!
Fed Ex, here I come.

"The worst service ever! I scheduled and paid for overnight delivery on October 28. The package did not arrive on October 29. On October 30 I called and got a feeble apology and assurance that my package would arrive by 8pm that day. Absolutely unacceptable! I insisted on speaking to a supervisor and explained that I absolutely had to have my package by noon or I would not only lose out on a house I am buying but I would also lose my substantial deposit. The supervisor called my local center (Richmond, California). The manager at the local center called the driver and I was assured my package would be delivered before 12 noon. It is now 12:25 pm and no sign of UPS. NEVER trust them for anything of importance."

"Truly the most unprofessional company that I have had the misfortune of dealing with. HORRID service! Their online UPS.com showing that I was to receive a package yesterday. I confirmed the delivery with their online chat, ABSOLUTELY will receive it today. So we waited all day, until 6:55pm to get a call that they did not have a complete address, yet they did! with my name and phone number and my shipping email confirmed it. So we wasted a whole day waiting. The clerk would not tell me his name for follow up, and kept saying the driver didn't have the address. Absolutely an excuse, if he did not have a complete address, why even take the box and put it on the site for ABSOLUTE delivery today. Numerous other tenants and ourselves have had been burned by their lazy drivers not wanting to stop to find parking on the street.
But their ability to help and stand by their service is non existent. I will be on every social media site and tell every business person I know to avoid UPS at all costs. This isn't the first time, but it is the last time we will order anything online that uses UPS as their delivery service. Hopefully Costco will start using a different delivery service.

"Worst shipping company ever. I told them three times the correct address and they kept sending it to whatever address there rep put in. This happened around Christmas too and my sons gift was sent back to the shipper after nearly a month chasing it. Do Not use ups"

"I would never recommend using UPS again, I purchased a product off of Amazon, it was shipped from a company out of Washington to the Kansas City area. I guess the normal route is through Colorado. Now the disaster in Colorado is terrible and I pray for the residents, but why would anyone with a brain not reroute a shipment around a flooded area has be baffled. I am not a collage grad. but I do have common sense and that is all a person would need to use. From now on I will make sure that anything shipped to me goes through USPS."

"The worst service I have ever received, ever from any company!!! Paid for next day service, never received, promised phone calls, actually got a pathetic excuse that they had no phone line at the depot, then promised that the parcel would be with me before noon! What use is that!"

"On Sept 10th, "Rob" at UPS customer service sexually harrassed me when I tried to find out why a one-day delivery shipment was late. His supervisors at UPS are now protecting him. I have tried every number they have, and everywhere I call they claim to be very concerned and agree the agent was inappropriate. Then they run me around a bunch of different departments, making me retell the story until eventually one of them hangs up on me. I have spoken with "Darren", "Britney", "Shannon", and a very rude supervisor named "Reggie" who hung up on me the instant the other supervisor stopped listening in on the call.

Don't let this happen to you, your wives, or your daughters. UPS doesn't care if their CS reps sexually harrass their customers. Use someone else.

"I hate ups. I've lived at my current address for 5 years and they have never once delivered anything I have ordered to my door. I have actually flagged them down before while they were delivering my package to a neghbor and pointed to my address, the numbers nailed on my front door frame. The driver then asked me what address he was delivering it to because my neighbor has no posted address on her home. I explained to him that the numbers go in order by twos. The beginning of the block is 408, my neighbor is 410 and I am 412. That was a year ago. Every package since then still does not arrive at my door. Fedex always gets it right. Even the pizza guy gets it right. Rush shipping is useless. I pay more for them to lose my items faster."

"DO NOT SEND TIME SENSITIVER PACKAGES VIA UPS. They are not a reliable overnight service. My package is 2 days late and they had a "sorting error" now my business documents cannot be found. When I called to determine the reason for the delay and a solution to the issue, I was routed thru 2 departments including UPS International. I am still on hold - 27.28 minutes and counting."

"Avoid UPS at all cost. The stress that it puts you through to hunt down a package will seriously break you. I ordered one single package and the amount of calls that I have had to make to UPS to get an answer about my package is ridiculous. No one in UPS customer service will give you the same answer. My package was out for delivery and a delivery attempt was made, I wasn't home and they were suppose to send it back out for delivery again on Monday, Saturday rolls around and a clerk put in a wrong address for no apparent reason by "accident", sunday rolls around I call to guarantee that my package will be here by Monday and they tell me its at a wrong location it was rerouted. Tuesday comes and my package is severely damaged.
PLEASE do not ship with UPS save yourself the pain.

"Tried to do everything right. Sold my neon signs on ebay. Took them to UPS Store in Claremont, NH to make sure they would receive good packaging. Two of the signs were received by recipients broken. Filed claims for the insurance in April. It is now end of June with no headway toward any insurance reimbursement.
First was told by UPS that I am not shipper of record - local UPS Store is. I must go through them. After 7 weeks into claim and having refunded ebay buyers money, I complain to UPS again. Then I am told that they will send a pick up order for the broken lights with original packaging to verify damage, etc. - 7 weeks later. I respond to UPS that it is unreasonable to expect a person to hold on to a broken item for 7 weeks with the original packing. Of course the recipients have been refunded their money. They expected that if UPS wished to inspect the packages they would have done so in a few days or a week. Of course, they are no longer hanging onto them.
Surprise ... UPS cannot pay the claim because recipient refused to give them the light and original packaging for inspection that they no longer have - 7 weeks later! Smooth move UPS.
Of course, I fully expect that the final resolution to the second claim will have the exact same result.
I will no longer ship anything I sell by UPS and will do everything I can on items I buy online being shipped by anyone but UPS.
I strongly advise you to do the same or at least do so realizing 2 things. First, do not expect a UPS store to properly pack your fragile items. Second, do not buy into UPS's insurance scam.

"I am extremely dissappointed with UPS service. I had ordered a book with 2-day express shipping for my mom for Mothers Day. I couldn't pick it up though because I needed to be 21+ to sign for it. I'm not 21+, I don't live with anyone 21+, I don't have any close family 21+, except for my mom, WHO ITS FOR. But I still won't get it by Mothers Day because the shipping center is closed. This is total b.s. I am never using UPS services again."

"I realize that UPS is big enough and dominates their field That any review of their business model is pointless, but I have to relate my last experience with them just because of their audacity. I had ordered four items online and received a tracking number with a delivery date and made sure someone would be home to receive the packages. The doorbell rang and by the time someone got to the door the UPS truck was driving off. Three packages were on the porch. The fourth package, about three feet by three feet, was missing. I called UPS the next day and asked the agent to see if she could find the package and was told that it had definitely been delivered and there was verification. The verification was from the driver. She told me that the missing package had "probably been stolen by one of the neighborhood children" and that I should go around the neighborhood checking with my neighbors to see which one was the thief. (That should create a positive vibe in the neighborhood!) I told her we had security video of the non-delivery and she immediately admitted they still had the package and that it would be delivered the next day. How did she explain the guarantee of delivery and verification by the driver. "I can't". The next day the package was delivered with a five inch hole in the middle of it. I understand their business model now-- "If we damage a package in transit, claim delivered and say a neighbor's child stole it". This company possesses zero ethics and could care less what happens to the packages they are entrusted with. They have even enlisted their employees to lie for them so that they do not have to pay any claims for damage. The bottom-line is their only consideration."
