"I placed an order almost a week ago and noticed that I had not received correspondence that my order had been shipped. (Which was troubling because I paid to upgrade my shipping.) When I get ahold of someone in customer service I am told that the order won't be shipped for another 2 days because their warehouses were closed for the Jewish Holiday. I was very upset because when I ordered they should have indicated that there would be a delay due to warehouse closure. So in short it will be 8 business days before my order is even shipped - not acceptable. I called back and got a different representative who told me my order will ship the next day and that I would receive a tracking number within 24 hours, and I'm still waiting. Needless to say I will not be ordering from the company again.
Update* I called to cancel my order on the 23rd and after an hour on hold I finally got someone. They cancelled my order and said I would get a refund by Monday. Monday came and went so I had to file a complaint with PayPal. Instead of doing the honorable thing and refunding my money they are not responding to Paypal at all.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE. THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN BUESINESS."
"i have never written a review before but i was inspired by my dealings with "customer service". if i had recorded my "conversation" with the person i was speaking to we'd both be famous because everyone would want to hear it and no one would believe it. what started as a question about the status of my order turned into an intense and unbelievable tirade by the service person about jewish holidays and how jewish time doesn't correspond with everyone else's time. i am not making this up. my order went from a 10 day delivery time to around three weeks, if i was lucky. this was due to a combination of weekends and jewish holidays....but the time wasn't even a factor at this point as i was left speechless from the vile hatred spewing from the person i spoke with. this is a hostile and inefficient "business" and i would GLADLY pay more and never deal with them again. i read some reviews and the negative ones are dead-on accurate. the positive ones must come from employees of us1camera who are ordered to provide positive reviews. i took the time to stop what i was doing today just to write this review and, again, i never wrote one before and generally think they are a waste of time but the interaction i had with "customer service", if recorded, would be in the hall of fame of bad customer service calls. this "place of business" and it's employees are a disgrace. if someone from this "company" wishes to respond and apologize i welcome it, but based on my experience i expect nothing but a bizarre, defensive posture...it took me under five minutes to find a competitor and order the item i wanted w/ no problem. wow DO NOT BUY FROM US1CAMERA...EVER!!!!!!!"
"After going through Pricegrabber.com to find a Nikon DX40, I found www.us1camera.com. Although I never heard of the site, I placed my order for their free ground shipping. The next day (Friday), I changed my mind and decided I needed the camera for a upcoming weekend trip and called US1camera back to change from the free ground shipping to UPS overnight (Saturday) shipping. At this point, I got to speak to a salesperson (Kevin) who more or less acted like an used car salesman trying to negotiate my purchase of other items I originally didn't buy. After some haggling, he through in a 5-year no-deductible U.S. warranty, free lens cover and a second battery and I paid a bit more than my original order. On Saturday, like promised, UPS arrived at 9:15 am and I opened the box. To my surprise, my 4GB SD memory was now two 2GB SD memory cards and no extra battery and the warranty on the invoice said I bought a DX60 vice DX40. When I called Kevin back on Monday to find out, he told me how US1Camera had done me this big favor by giving me two 2GB SD cards instead of the 4GB SD card I ordered and as to the battery, well, he never gave me a good explanation for that one but did tell me it's on its way and I should receive it Friday (Oct 10). As to the warranty, he said it didn't matter so I took that at face value.
Bottom line...good prices and you generally get what you order but sometimes you have to make a phone call. To Kevin's benefit, he didn't put up an argument about the battery and did offer to send me the 4GB SD card but I had to pay shipping to return the two 2GB cards so I declined.
If price is what is most important to you, US1Camera is a good site. I think customer service is just as important so I "may" give US1Camera another shot later when I need an additional DX lens. The next time I feel hustled will be the last.
***Note to US1Camera*** I don't know if you guys read this stuff but the high-pressure tactics over the phone are not wanted. If I wanted to listen to someone try to hustle me, I would of gone to CircuitCity or BestBuy. Also, if you don't have something in stock, DON'T SELL IT and then swap it out for another "like" item without telling your customer. It's really irritating to have the invoice say one thing and the contents of the box to say something entirely different. "

While she couldn't explain the delay in processing my order, she took it upon herself to verify it was shipped that very day, and placed it in overnight shipping at no extra cost. "Item (canon G9 digital camera) came in resaonable amount of time, working condition, brand new with all the accessories except any kind of warranty whatsoever. The box of the item says "NOT INTENTED FOR SALE OUTSIDE JAPAN, CONTAINS NO WARRANTY FOR OUTSIDE JAPAN" clearly this camera is from Japan market which i do not have a problem with and most people would not have a problem with i am sure because it is also made in Japan. However their website clearly says all items come with US warranty. There was no document about no warranty in the box (not even the Japan one) So i called them, the person i talked to was not very interested in listening the details, he just said "you have 1 year warranty with the receipt" I asked who would honor this warranty if i needed it. He said "CANON" So i emailed canon explaining the situation. the reply was "We can not guarantee you the warranty will be honored on a Japanese
model. The warranty is really only valid in Japan."
So us1photo is just gambling and hoping that nothing will happen to the camera for 1 year and yes they have a good chance of winning the bet because it is a CANON and they more than likely will work forever or till they are outdated and you throw them away. But what if the camera stops working after a month? The you are dead in the water.
Us1photo is better of the worst companies for electronics out there as you can see from the reviews. They wont hassle you, try to pressure you buying more things like tons of others does. They have a very competetive price range. BUT if you are worried about warranty, DONT BUY FROM THEM or none of the other companies that has less than 9 average ratings. I ordered a different CANON from BHPHOTO and it was the US model with US warranty. Check the reviews and compare."
"I am very dissatisfied with their service. I ordered a Sony HDR-CX12 camera from us1photo on September 7 with a 3-day delivery. In two or three days the status of the order was changed to Ready to Ship. I called them the same day and they said that the camera had been shipped and would arrive in 3 business days. I checked my credit card and saw that it had been charged. After 3 business days passed and I received nothing. I checked the site, the status was still "Ready to ship". I called customer service, they said that there was some problem with the order and it has not been shipped yet. They said that they had sent an e-mail about it, but, of course, I didn't receive it. They also said that they didn't have the camera in-stock, but they would have it in a couple of days and would ship it to me with 1 day delivery for no extra charges. I agreed. In a few days I received an e-mail saying that the camera was shipped through UPS with 3 business day delivery. I received it on September 23rd. So, they lied to me several times, first time when they said that they shipped it when they didn't, second time when they promissed to ship it with 1 day service and still shipped with 3. They probably also lied about an e-mail notification that I never received. Is this the service you'd like to receive?"

"Good, but they called me to try to sell me a generic battery, I missed the call and had to return the call a day or two later which obviously slowed the processing of my order. It took a total of 12 non-work days(counting weekends) from placement of the order to physically receiving it."
