"Like everyone else here experienced, they are VERY slow on getting stuff shipped and try to get you to buy faster shipping - not that this does any good because they spend 2-4 days just to pack and ship (first company I've seen that is SO slow on processing orders).
Of course they wasted even more time on getting my package shipped than the acclaimed 2-4 days. Called them up several times and they kept claiming it "would be shipped out tomorrow". They already charged my credit-card way before shipping it. For 5 days the order status said "ready to ship", so why the frickin' hell don't they ship it if it's ready???
Waiting time on their phone line is INSANE (second time it was 40min). The extension number I got to the salesperson is never answered either."
"well..kevin (store owner/manager) called and seemed truly apologetic for the problems, he sent me a 5 year warranty for my camera and a 25$ in store credit.... this could not make up for the problems but it did show his integrity and to me that means a lot. i hope they get their kinks worked out because except for the 1 mistake (which caused a windfall of headaches) i got a really wonderful deal. i would definitely order again...but i dont think i would plan my itinerary on the shipping date even with 2nd day air.... we will see with the next order!!!
i ordered the d60, kit with 2 lenses, paid with my credit card and paid EXTRA for 2 day business shipping. i am on vacation and my camera was stolen so it was important that i recieve it on a certain day. i rearranged my trip so that i would be home on wednesday(actually tuesday night hoping for an early wednesday delivery) i was called on monday morning to verify my order and i told them yes i ordered and it is important that it get there on wednesday....should i upgrade to next day air???? i already spent a thousand...what is 25 more dollars???) "NO,,, it will be there wednesday morning, not a problem" here it is wednesday and i get a call from ups saying to be home tomorrow, thursday from 0800-1900 because i have to sign for a package. so i call the camera store, am on hold for 12 minutes, spoke to a gentleman after he verified everything he put me on hold (more music) then my phone starts chiping i had been disconnected.. so i call back... another 10 minutes on hold,,,, same guy answers says they would be willing to ship it to where i will be... what camp site 24 at the coast????
i will never do business with thisa company again, i cant even refuse and get a refund because i have to be here to refuse it first,,, then why would i refuse it???? the LEAST they should have done in my humble opinion is offered a refund on my shipping (i paid extra for it to be here on wed and that didnt work)
well i got my camera package at about 18:00 on thursday night, i lost my reservation in the sunset bay "yurt", because i could not go yesterday. by shopping around and trying to save a buck, it actually cost me about 200$ in extra BS and a memorable camping trip so yes i got a great camera but after all is said and done, it came out to be about the same price as going to walmart, the customer service did not offer anything for my trouble, the extra bs, NOTHING..i guess they are starting to slip.....the least they should have done was refunded the extra i paid for the 2 day air and offered me something as an apology... that is what customer service is... if my company had done this we would have done ANYTHING to get a good review, upgraded to the next package, sent a kit new lense SOMETHING.... they put me on hold and disconnected me.... "Ordered $2280 of camera/lens on Sunday: Bobby called on Tuesday evening to check that I was bonafide, and told me then that equipment was shipping. Website has shown "Order ready to Ship" since then. Credit card dunned on July 16. I called on July 21 and was told it was back-ordered. Ken agreed order would be canceled if camera could not get to me by Friday July 25 (leaving for trip next day). As of July 23 still not shipped. Customer service hours are 11 am to 6 pm weekdays only. Typical wait on line for "service is 30 minutes."

I heard from Kevin yesterday and he assured me that I will receive the camcorder once they receive them in stock. He will also expedite the shipping because it went past the 7-9 day shipping time. He also said that they have quality issue with the customer service people and they are working on that. He said that he can either credit my card or I could wait about another week to have the camcorder delivered. I figured I'd wait a little longer. He assured me that he would take care of me and make sure his customers are satisfied. I guess they get a lot of orders and things like this could happen. So for now, I'll be waiting.

Ordered the Sony HDR-TG1 on July 15th (in stock). Received an e-mail with the order number. The next day I received a phone call from a salesman trying to sell me an extended warranty, I said NO and everything was fine. He said he'd get it shipped out (I selected Free shipping). That evening my credit card company wanted me to confirm the charge. (Everything is going great, I thought) The status of my order on their web site changed to "Ready To Ship". It's now July 22 and the status has not changed and I have not received another e-mail with a tracking number. I called them today and they told me that they are out of stock. This was not the case when I ordered it. And why didn't the salesman tell me that when I was talking to him? He told me that he was going to get it shipped right out to me. After hanging up I went back to their site and now it says that it is out of stock. With a blurb saying that they will not charge your credit card until it has shipped. So I called them back and asked for a tracking number since it was charged to my card and they said they didn't have one. Nor did they have any information they could tell me, except "well...if they charged your card, then they must have shipped it." Totally useless. I have no e-mail with a tracking number. I have no idea if/when I'll ever receive the camera and my card has already been charged. I'm not feeling very well about my order. If I receive it this week, I'll edit my review. But I'm not holding my breath."
"The service provided to me by US1Photo has been really terrible. I ordered a Nikon D80 Digital Body w/Nikon 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G Lens and chose the next day delivery option. On the day of the supposed delivery I received the e-mail saying that my order was on hold as they could not verify my phone number. I had to cancel my order as it would be too late for me to receive it. After the cancellation I was charged for my order and I am still waiting for them to refund me. It has been more than a week now. I call them every day and after talking to different people giving me contradictory information and simply lying I am being assured that I will get my refund. To this moment I have not been refunded and it looks like US1Photo has stolen over $1000 from me. A solid company does not work like this."

Was called by Kevin, one of the managers for the store. Was told that the salesperson involved was corrected and Kevin apologized for what happened in my situation and said that it wasn't a reflection of their company. So as this was my first transaction with them, I will give them the benefit of the doubt. Kevin gave me a modest future credit to try them again, and his direct extension should there be any future problems.
I am happy that they care about what is being written here, obviously companies want to be praised and not criticized for their business practices.
So should I need something in the future that they carry and have best price on I would try them again, I still have yet to receive the camcorder but UPS says tomorrow it will arrive.

I was not very impressed with my recent experience with US1. I called up to order a camcorder they had a good price on. The sales guy was quite abrupt and had me order online then call him back. I did, and right away was pushed into buying more. What package did you want etc. I did get one package, then was told I needed the external charger as the one that comes with it is temporary and good only 5 or 6 times. I knew that was bull as Sony wouldn't do that. I have since spoke with Sony and confirmed that was a lie. The sales guy Bobby was just plain rude and pushy, and made it seem like he was doing me a favour by selling me the camcorder.
Lastly, I had been checking order status and stayed at ready to be shipped for several days even though Bobby told me it was in stock. When I called customer service 4 days after the order to see why it still showed Ready to be shipped, was told that they were waiting on my SR-11 from supplier but was expected that day and would be shipped that day or following morning. It took another 2 days before it shipped. Customers appreciate the truth, and I don't appreciate being lied to on what it comes with and its availability. I likely won't do business with them again."
"I recently bought an Olympus E-510 package from these guys. The experience was excellent, order was processed quickly with no hassles and shipped super fast! I ordered Wednesday night with 3 day shipping, had a tracking number by 6pm Thursday, package was picked up by the carrier at 8:30pm and was delivered Friday at 2:30pm! Can't do better than that!
I had researched pricing and reputation extensively as I got burned by another online vendor who left me hanging for 2 weeks playing verification games when I knew they had run out of stock. US1Photo.com had the best price of anyone, and their good ratings and customer feedback supported going with them. I am super pleased with the experience and will definitely be using them to buy accessories for my camera. "
"I ordered Canon EF-S 18-55 IS lens from US1Photo, which was listed as brand new. The order process was smooth, I got order confirmation right away and the shipping is fast. However, the lens was not in the original Canon factory box.
All the other new Canon lense I bought were in the original box with Canon logo and lens specification on it. I also check with my friend who bought the same lens from other vendor, his does have the original factory box.
A guy from the company called and explained that the lens was actually a split from kit. Should have this displayed on web site though since it's not a real retail lens. The customer may want to buy the lens as a gift."
"I ordered a Canon HV30 camcorder on 7/3/2008, and had not received a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number on 7/9. Then I called them (after a long holding time) asking why it is not shipped, the rep told me that it will be shipped the next day. However, I still did not receive the shipping confirmation on 7/10, so I called the rep again, and this time I was told that the product is not in stock and they are ordering it, which will be shipped early next week. At the time I placed my order, their website clears showed it "in stock". I called my credit card company to chargeback and investigate the transaction.
The store manager Kevin called me and apologized for the shipping delay. He said the product I ordered was very hard to get. Then he put a rush order for me, with 2nd day air shipping with no additional charge. I received the camcorder on 7/25. I am now satisfied, and would recommend this vendor."

This was significantly lower than Best Buy and Circuit City and matched the lowest online retailer pricing...with great service included! Though they did the phone confirmation and suggested upsell of accessories, they took 'no' for an answer and politely filled my order with no issues!

Made a phone call, they asked me to send the camera back first. They will inspect the camera before further action can be conducted. But it's not easy for my business to be without the camera.

Was surprised to get an email June 30 indicating my product is shipped. Wasn't expecting the product to arrive before the holiday(july 04) - i had chosen free standard ground shipping. But was surprised to receive package on July 02! Package was OK. Opened and found contents to be new. Been using the camcorder ever since and (touchwood) its been great. Packing could've been much better though. Other retailers pack even a memory card really well. This is a camcorder, it came in box just a little bigger than the actual camcorder box with hardly any packing material in between!
