THANK-YOU, US1 Camera. I would highly recommend this merchant to folks - they have very good service. I bought a Canon EOS 40D digital camera for a descent price – this was significantly lower than buydig or amazon. They responded swiftly to my order. I paid for the item with a check so it took slightly longer than by that of credit card to process the order. Additionally it was during the 4th July holiday. The price that I sent the check in was higher than it was when they actually received my check. They were great – they gave me in store credit for this difference which they applied to two CF cards - requested this. I just got the camera this morning – all is well.

Just a day has passed since I wrote a review here, and surprisingly, no other than one of the managers and co-owners of the company, Kevin, himself called me from US. Kevin apologized for the whole experience personally and on behalf of the company. He assured me, that he would take up the matter with his staff and said to ask for him directly in case of any eventual future issues.
On top of all that, I was offered some rebate on future purchases at US1Photo!
I must say, I was pretty impressed, especially by the fact, that I received a personal call from one of the mangers and not some generic "sorry for the inconvenience" mail. As a former employee at consumer electronics retail store, I know from my own experience, that people do make mistakes,subcontractors or postal service fail deliveries, etc. BUT! What makes all the difference is how a store handles those errors and how it's treating its costumers. US1Photo proved, that although errors were made,they do have managers, who care about customers and company's reputation.
I would definitely consider US1Photo next time I would look for photo equipment online.
P.S. It's appears,that when using PayPal as payment, PayPal withdraws the money from one's account BEFORE any order has been processed or shipped. (I verified it with PayPal myself) That's what happened to me in the first place. I guess the main issue in my case was the communication, which I hope would be improved in the future.
Ordered a Canon 40D with 28-135mm lens. A few minutes later I found out, that Canon had an instant 200 USD rebate on this product. 3 hours after placing the order,I called US1Photo and asked for the rebate, but it turned out, that it only applied to the registered Canon resellers, which US1Photo was not. We then agreed to cancel the order. I took 3-4 different guys to make the cancellation, I was bounced from one man to another, and every new guy just said: "Hallo?", and I had to tell him the whole story over again! Finally, some department manager told me, that the order had been cancelled AND absolutely no charge from my VISA-account was made.
I rechecked the order status online to be sure, and as I expected, the order was still valid! I again called US1Photo, and again went through "devil's circle of explains", although smaller this time. This time, order status appeared "cancelled" right away.It looked like the guy actually did press the "cancel"-button the second time....
Several days later,I was checking my balance and found out, that US1Photo has charged me anyway - without any authorization! I called them right away,and was told, that the money were on the way back to me, and it would take a couple more days. A whole week later - still no money. Yet another week passed, and I wrote them an official complain. NO ANSWER what so ever! Another week later, another mail, promising to take legal actions against US1Photo. Still no answer. Finally, on July the 2nd, 27 days later, I receive a standard generated mail saying, that the payment has been refunded. NO APOLOGIES for the mistake and bad service, no nothing! It turns out, that it can take up to another month before I would see the refund on my account due to international transactions.
US1Photo is one of those companies, which charges one really fast and doesn't care much about the rest! Bad service and awful communication with customers!"
"Poor customer service, charged for services not provided. As many online stores do, this company goes by different names; US1Photo, US1Camera. We were presenting at a large conference and needed a new projector. The order was placed on Friday June 6th and we paid extra for 2nd day shipping. We were told it was in stock and assured we would have it in time. A week later on the 13th, no projector and no one called to inform us of any delay. Since our conference was over 200 miles away and started early Monday morning, we had to find a rental projector (at a premium price) to fill our need. When we called to ask what the problem was we were run around to different sales people and each one had a different reason for why the projector STILL wasn’t shipped. The projector finally arrived on the 16th, but we were still charged for the 2nd day shipping. When we called to inquire about why we were still charged, we were told it would be taken care of. It still hasn’t been credited as of the 30th. We will not use this company again and we will definitely spread the word about what a bad experience dealing with US1photo is."
"I have been shopping for about 3 weeks and stumble across Us1photo online so decided to call in and ask some questions. I looking for a new camera for my parents anniversary and spoke to gentleman Alex about a Canon XTI Kit. The sales rep had a great deal of knowledge about the camera and was very polite mentioned his name and extention Right away before anything else!(very reassuring) Everything came within a couple of days and i even got a Free MP4 Player for my daughter just intime for the 4th of july blow out. I always buy online from amazon to ebay to pricegrabber, and now US1photo will be my main stop. Great assistance, brand new item, easy to use and no issues what so ever. "THE BEST ONLINE PURCHASE EVER!!! Unreal experience. I got the BEST price AND the BEST service I have EVER had... No Lie! I was sceptical at first, but they shipped me the right product in record time. The only thing that was a little uncomfortable was the sales person asked me if I needed anything else, I felt a little bit of pressure sales to buy more. They wanted to sell more, which is fine; I don't feel pressured at McDoanalds when they ask if you want fries with that, so maybe I was just being overly cautious of the whole buying experience, as I have been burned in the past. THESE GUYS ARE FOR REAL!!! I am SUPER HAPPY. I purchased the Sony HDR-SR11, from Canada and the only inconvenience is that I had to fax them my drivers license and Mastercard, both sides. I had to call cause it seemed it might be late and the rep was great and practically put it on the truck himself. Got the camera on time. The rep was great to deal with on a phone. US1 was the best price I could find, with a high "ResellerRating" over 80%.
I chose the "Free shipping" option, which adds a few days to the "ship date." I ordered online, so I didn't get the sales pitch for additional accessories.
Before shipping, I did get a phone call from US1Camera, to verify my order, and my shipping address.
I received an email once the item was shipped, which included a UPS tracking Number.
The item was shipped with a "Signature Required" which was a good thing in my opinion. I really don't want my $800 Camera sitting on my front porch all day, while I'm at work.
I received the camera on 6/20, (8 days after my order...which was within the advertised delivery timeframe)
The camera arrived exactly as advertised, with all the US warranty papers. Everything was brand new, and sealed in the original Canon packaging. They even threw in a lens cleaning kit.
Overall experience A+. I would definitely do business with them again, especially given that they had the best price around on this item.

"I am happy to report that I’m 99.9% satisfied with US1Camera! Their prices are very competitive & their customer service was simply outstanding. About 4 weeks ago I ordered a Nikon D80 body and a Nikon Lens Pen. There was a small initial mix-up with my credit card security numbers (AmEx cards have their’s on the front!) but it was not their fault. An email and a follow-up call from THEM easily solved the problem. Then, they shipped it UPS instead of 6 day ground and the camera got here in 2 days!! 4 weeks later, way beyond the 14 day period my daughter decided it was more camera then she needed and wanted a Sony Cybershot DSC-H50 instead. I called and Donna was very friendly and helpful & the exchange transaction & money refund for price difference took all of 2 minutes. Again, the Sony was shipped UPS and came only 2 days after they received the D80 return. No hassle all the way & cameras arrived in mint-condition boxes. It’s a no brainer who will get my repeat business!"

"After writing the review below, the following day i received a call from a very concerned manager, Kevin. he was concerned that my review was so negative. My experience has not changed, but the interest by Kevin certainly is a plus and a quality that is not found in all stores. I mentioned my second battery being bad and he is making that good with a new replacement sent out immediately. He also offered and has given me a $20 store credit to keep my business and yours in the future. He also said that he would be talking to the specific salesman that i dealt with and i assume to resolve how he deals with the customer in the future. he asked me to update my review here and so i have done so. Will i consider buying here, YES, but i still say be alert to the salesman and buy only what you want.

My Experience was as follows:
Well, other than receiving what i ordered in a reasonable fashion and with a pretty good price, i would say other wise DIS-satisfied.
1. was upsold on what i wanted by a fast talking salesman.
2. was sold cheap merchandise in a package deal that i really was not interested in.
3. pushy salesman
4. advertised one price and made another available.
5. This is what is considered the worse kind of sales.
6. Ordered online and was still called to make and push the sales further.
No i am not happy other than my product works just fine. The secondary battery i ordered does not hold a charge.
If you get exactly what you want and no more without being pushed, than it might be okay. Would i consider them for another purchase, maybe. If a salesman tries to be pushy the next time, it will be a cancelled order for me.

"I placed an internet order June 12th for a Nikon D40 body-only and received email confirmation within minutes. I called June 16th to verify status-customer service was fine-was assured item was in-stock and would ship soon-received email notification item shipped that same day. I paid $8.95 3 day select UPS shipping cost & received package June 19th. Packaging was good & the camera works great. I had purchased a Nikon 18-55mm VR Zoom lense earlier this month from this store-no problems. Both items came with USA paperwork(warranty). I did not get a hard sell or bait & switch during my phone call to them. I believe the Nikon D40 is usually sold in kit form & was surprised to see it listed here as a body-only option. It was packaged in a kit box with the kit lense removed-all other items were included. My purchases have worked-out perfectly. I would do business with this store again. If you needed an item in a hurry, calling their toll-free phone number to place the order might expedite processing. I was'nt in a rush situation and was more worried about grey market items. As an aside, I placed an on-line order for the lense June 6th & it shipped the 8th, arriving UPS June 13-it was free shipping. I was pleased with the prices."
"Overall Great prices, 50/50 on cusomer service, but if you keep calling you get the person who is willing to help. Exceptable processing time, and shipments, once sent out they are at your door in a hurry.
I ordered twice, one week apart - First time was the Nikon D300 + Package,which was a great price, and shipped that Same day on Monday 6/16/08.
2Nd order,Wow! What a change from one week earlier. I guess it makes a difference when you order something at over $2000, than when you order a $400+ item. I ordered 3 day shipping and its been saying ready to ship since monday - when I called them, they said well it takes a few days -Sent out on Wed. I got it on Thursday 6/26/08. Hmm... Why would that be when it's ready to be shipped what are they doing holding it back?
What really made me not happy is - in my order I had gotten a nikon SB-600 Flash - (even though it was $5.04 cheaper and $11 cheaper in shipping from adorama.com)- It wasn't the price issue, it was when I called to ask a simple question, "Does the flash come with a soft case and flash stand like all the other stores do, i.e Best Buy, Adorama, Ritz, etc..." IT took me over an hour, 3 calls and 4 people just to get that simple answer - one lady said no you have to order a package deal - another said, not sure, I'll call you back, and NEVER called back... But, when I called a third time to say hell with this problem cancel my order,I'll go somewhere else and get it - they then FINALLY decided to actually check, and tell me oh yes, it does come with the case and stand. Sorry!
If time isn't important just stay with free shipping. Even with high price, faster shipping, it still takes them between 2-4 days to even send it out.
Also - They never called back when I left them messges about the first order being crushed and it crushing my tripod.
