"I purchased a stock XSI kit (with 18-55mm IS lens) from this company before the start of the business day on Friday, May 16. I chose the "4 to 6 Business Day Ground" shipping option--a ~$13 premium over the free 7-9 day option that the company offers. The camera finally shipped today, 5/21, after an inexplicable lag in processing (but not billing!).
I would have accepted this delay if I had chosen the free shipping option, but I hadn't. I initially wrote a negative but fair review that described this shipping situation and mentioned that this delay in shipping would cause me to miss the delivery due to a trip.
Good news, though: I got an (almost immediate) call from the owner of the company, Kevin, who wanted to set things right. He offered to call back the first order and send a new out out with expedited shipping so that I would get the camera in time. He was genuinely concerned that this shipping lag had inconvenienced me, and was willing to go the extra mile to resolve the situation. The end result isn't all that different--I will get the camera on 5/28 versus 5/29--but what it ensures is that I will have my camera before I leave for my trip.
In the end the company, with Kevin at its helm, really does strive to provide good service and aims to please the customer. The customer service reps that I spoke to earlier in the week were quite courteous, but didn't see why I was upset with the shipping lag. Kevin, however, was there to step in to make sure I was satisfied. If I saw another good deal from this company, I would be likely to make another purchase."

I used a new credit card that I mistakingly did not fully complete the activation. I received an email the same day from US1Photo advising me of the card being declined and they provided me with a phone # and direct extension. I called my credit card company, processed the activation and called US1Photo's billing rep. She was able to confirm the charge went through successfully this time over the phone. She did not try to upsell me on anything and was very pleasant and professional. The camera shipped (I used 7-9 business day free shipping) on 5/8 and it was delivered on 5/12. I couldn't be happier with the product or experience and would definitely order from them again. They operate a legitimate and serious business. "
"Excellent experience with this seller buying a Canon Rebel XTI with additional lenses, filters and flash. I am moving from film to digital photography and have specific requirements for shooting interiors and exteriors of buildings in connection with my work as an architect. I called US1Camera with questions and found my salesman, (Michael), was very well informed and helpful including advice regarding lenses and filters and their prices were the best I found in several weeks of research both online and locally, (Denver/Boulder, Colorado). The equipment was shipped the next day and I received a confirmation email. Everything arrived within a week, (I chose the free ground shipping), and was all new in original packaging. I had one minor problem with my order. I had purchased several accessories and the camera bag I received was barely large enough for the camera body alone. I called US1Camera and was given directions to return the bag, including their UPS # so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping. I included a note describing the type of bag I wanted with the return. "On 4/27/08 I ordered a Canon EOS Rebel XSi camera (body only) and a Canon 100-400 mm f/3.5-5,6L IS lens with free shipping. My credit card was charged two days later on 4/29/08. Six days later I received an email indicating that delivery would be on 5/8/08, or eleven days after the order was placed. Merchandise was received in good condition in original Canon packaging along with the free lens cleaning kit. I DID NOT receive an email asking me to phone in for 'confirmation of my order'. The only contact I had from US1Camera was the email indicating the delivery date. There was no pressure sales call involved. All-in-all an excellent purchasing experience and great prices. "Good, speedy service and customer service was there when needed. My only complaint is their policy of only shipping to the billing address on your credit card. I know it is for fraud protection, but this is the only company I have ever had this problem with. If however, my identity was ever stolen I'm sure I would be singing a different tune."
"Ordered a Nikon D80 - body only. After reading many other reviews I thought this would be a good company. I started to worry when I received an email asking me to phone in for 'confirmation of my order'. Upon phoning in, I was advised of the poor quality of the included manufacturer's batter - UH OH - especially since this is my 2nd D80 and the manufacturer's battery has worked fine for me for over a year. When I declined the battery and any other accessories, I was told my oder would be processed in 1-2 days. Two hours later I received an email that my order was declined due to credit card issues. I checked with my my credit card company and I have not issues and no order was attempted by US1. When I called I was placed on hold, and 10 minutes later hung up and made the order through another company.
UPDATE... The store contacted me and provided documentation that the credit card had been declined...I noticed that a period had been entered in my credit card number...causing the decline...The store offered to run the sale again, but I had already purchased from another vendor who did not follow up with emails, phone calls and hard sell of battery. The store did send me a 2gb memory card at no charge for the problems this caused. I might give this store a second chance on my next purchase of equipment. "
