"My purchase from US Appliance was satisfactory. The problems I had were with the shipping company (Pilot Freight Services). The order was picked up on 1/7/11 in Detroit MI and not delivered until 1/17/11. It required several phone calls to Pilot to locate the shipment. US Appliance referred all shipping questions to the company they chose to deliver the product. I think they should have been involved in the entire purchase to delivery process."

"Very disatisfied with customer service. We placed two orders that totaled almost $6000.00. One item was a stainless double door refrigerator. The first arrived with scratches and was refused. This kind of thing happens, and we waited weeks for the new one to arrive. We had purchased the "White Glove Delivery". The delivery company refused to remove the refrigerator doors to allow the unit to be brought into my home. The home has standard size doors. Anyone who has ever bought a large refrigerator knows that this is a standard delivery function. US Appliance is now saying that my home is not accessible. They refer to this statement on their wwebsite. "Major & professional appliance in-home white glove delivery will be made to accessible rooms, up to 1 flight of stairs." This statement is hidden under Customer Service-Delivery-Shipping times. It is not under the White Glove heading or the restrictions that are listed under it. They also do not mention it under Delivery/Installation Details. US Appliance would not give me names and contact information, such as email address, for anyone above General Manager Level. The general manager level was, of course, not available. When senior management hides from their customer one should worry about service after the sale. It's easy to do a job when everything goes as planned. Being unwilling to step up to the plate when there is a problem should give future customers a pause.

"This is my second buy here at US Appliance and both experiences have been a great pleasure for me. I ordered a Samsung UN55C6500 for $1449.00 with free shipping and no tax! You cannot beat that anywhere in the world. The customer service was understanding and as long as you are nice to them they will be nice to you. "Appliances arrived as advertised and in excellent condition. Prices were good and everything worked once installed. The delivery company was very polite and professional but, they called to set up delivery 24 hours in advance. Once the time was set up, they said they would call an hour before they arrived at my door, and instead just showed up between the agreed upon timeframe. Luckily we were home and everything worked out well. I'd recommend them."

"My TV arrived in over a week and it was Defective. I am now still waiting for them to replace it. They said it may be another 7-10 business days AFTER Pilot Freight comes to get the defective TV from my house. The only good thing about US Appliance is their prices, but the shipping and quality of their Televisions are terrible. I am not blaming Us Appliance for the defective TV but the SLOW shipping that I have to wait for. I also had to speak to a supervisor in order to recieve the new TV much faster because all of the customer service agents were getting upset with me and were very frustrating. My rating is not changing regardless because I am waiting about 1 month for a working TV."

"Stumbled upon this store via manufactures website of authorized dealers. Ordered a Samsung 58" plasma TV w/Blu-ray player & Shrek bundle on 1/17 for a REALLY good price (best after two weeks of searching). Spoke with George who was really helpful and got the order placed and was told it would ship on 1/19. Got the shipment conformation w/tracking info surprisingly a day early 1/18 to be shipped by R+L Carriers. Shipment arrived today and opened the boxes only to find NOTHING!!! All the boxes were empty, including the TV box which had a sheet of plywood placed inside (for weight purposes I suppose). Contacted US Appliances immediately a was told by customer service they could refund me or ship another on 1/24. She was not very helpful, but threw in an extended warranty for the inconvenience of having to wait for another week and taking off work AGAIN for a 5hr delivery window...

**UPDATE**
Received ALL my items on Friday and in working condition. Bad experience with the first shipping company, but not the second (ABF). Best prices around, but make sure you ask about the shipping carrier.

"I ordered a popular new model ventless washer/dryer combo that other sites advertised but so many of the other vendors did not actually it have in stock. US Appliance beat all other prices and the purchasing experience with US Appliance's web site was much more professional.


Comparing with another online vendor:

BEFORE I FOUND US APPLIANCE I called an online competitor who:
1) Confused the order form with a bunch of upsell clutter and no purchase button so I had to call them. This was really inconvenient and delayed my purchase as I had to do my shopping at night.
2) Competitor did not have the stock advertised.
3) Competitor was creepy and not helpful when I called. He wanted me to just keep checking the site -- which made me wonder if this was a professional outfit or a guy who scores appliances after they "fall off a truck".

With US APPLIANCE:
1) The online experience was just so easy. (I love the Accessories tab - many sites forget to include this.)
2) I appreciated not having to call for information during business hours; all the information I needed was right there on the site.
3) The listed price was only about $30 more than the lowest online competitor's price, and shipping was included so I did not have to keep track of a bunch of add-on costs to do a comparison. In the end, I found that the US Appliance price was $60 cheaper after factoring in competitors' delivery charges, making US Appliance the lowest priced vendor for this item.
4) It arrived well within the promised time frame, and was in good condition, not even a scratch.
5) They used a professional 3rd party shipping carrier. Also a good experience.

I only have two minor suggestions about the web site:

For non-veteran buyers like me you might put the transit time info in a more obvious spot somewhere prior to completing the order. (I should note that this info was available via an extra click, but I didn't click it. Not that it would have affected my purchase decision in this case.) This was my first time ordering a major appliance and I didn't think to investigate the delivery time before I ordered it. While I didn't need it on a certain date, after I ordered I got excited and then was a bit disappointed to read in my confirmation email that it would take 3 weeks. However, it arrived much sooner - within 8 days - so I was quite pleased.

Also - just an FYI, I don't know if this occurred on the trucking company's end or on your site - but I added some directions to the delivery entrance in the Comments field, and this information did not make it to the truck driver. However they did call me ahead of time so I was able to give him the information over the phone.

Overall, everything went smoothly. The washer/dryer works like a charm and I love it!

I would use US Appliance again. In fact I have already referred another person in my building to them!
