"I still have yet to receive my order. responses from value basket support are form letter responses that are meaningless platitudes and show no indication that anyone has read or understood my questions.
15 days have passed since the promised 5-7 day delivery window started. I required the order as equipment for a job that starts tomorrow but the order is not even shipped. Choosing value basket has been the worst decision I have ever made, it may well have cost me my livelihood.
Update:
They were very quick to post a response to my review, and I thought maybe something would progress, but no contact, order still not shipped.
Their website still says they have 6 more in stock (the level did go down from 7 when I made the order), this is after indicating the manufacturer sent them the wrong item as the cause of the delay. That was after they had just told me it was 'in the final stages of processing' they then said they would be 'assigning additional manpower'
a week passed, now they are 'experiencing a backlog due to current promotions'

"Having given them the benefit of the doubt, I still find myself now 4 month from the time I returned my item for repair, and still the same generic emails that my item is at the service department and they will contact me when its ready to be returned.
I have now decided to take the company to small claims court and will be seeking legal advice on the best way to get compensation.
My advice to anyone buying from this company is to spend a bit more money and purchase your goods from a company that you can trust will replace/repair your item if it is faulty within the warranty period. "

"Ordered Nikon D750 20.3.2015..money taken out of my account 2 days later [over £1000]. I phoned to ask why if the goods had not been dispatched and got some nonsense about I had to verify my address ..as if I would give a false address for goods I wanted !!!!!....now all sorts of excuses why not able to deliver so I cancelled and asked for a refund...again all sorts of excuses. "Having finally discovered the mobile phone I needed to replace one that was lost I placed the order. I was then subjected to a "verification" check(this has never happened to me before). When approved after nearly 2 days with my order now "processed" I received an email stating my phone was now "out of Stock" BUT was offered a very special discount on any other phone I desired, as long as management approved it. The phone I needed fits a tablet and without it the tablet is useless. No other phone was of any use to me.
I had been monitoring the availability of this phone for days and it never changed from "7". When I placed my order they were suddenly sold out!
In my opinion it was a complete con to get you to buy another phone. Fortunately I received my full refund.
I will never think of buying again from Valuebasket.
