I placed an item which was relatively cheap but after nearly a month they replied email cited wrong price tag and unilaterally cancel my order. Despite my several email refusing their cancellation and even quoted them the recent case in which SIA honored they wrongly priced business class airfare, they still proceeded the cancellation at their own accord.
The mark of not trust worthy for the store has been engraved in my mind and strongly recommended never to deal with this store again. "
"I purchased a £200 headset for my son for Christmas which arrived later than the said timescale on December 14 2014. On Christmas Day he opened it and it didn't work correctly, I tried continually over the Christmas period to contact the company but they were closed until 5 January 2015! In the meantime as it was a present and my son was off for the two weeks I purchased the same headset from a reputable company that worked fine.
I managed to speak to someone at Valuebasket on 5 January 2015 who informed me that as it was over the 14 days return/refund period they would only repair the item. I explained the situation to no avail so decided to email and complain. After about 10 emails (of which I have) I was asked to return it as they may be able to give me the refund (the return itself cost £11). Anyway almost 3 months later and I've heard nothing. I complained again TODAY and was informed that the order is only eligible for warranty repairs and not for refund and that apparently they have been waiting for instructions from the service team.
Repair duration usually depends on the service centre and the nature of the fault hence they are unable to confirm exact date of completion but once they have it, they will update me accordingly!
So my son will be left with 2 headsets (1 of which never worked and as the company were closed for Christmas and we have been penalised for this). You would have thought that a goodwill gesture would have been given etc
Surely this is bad for business!
I will now be taking this through Trading Standards as they can't contine to treat customers like this!
Please beware the customer does not matter and will pay for this company's errors!!!

"Firstly, when your site says items will arrive within 4-6 days after purchase, you really should make sure they do. Secondly, I had to contact you to ask where my item was, you need to notify people when there are delays in shipping/stock etc. And thirdly, and probably most importantly, when you make a mistake like that and your customer is dissatisfied, which I most certainly am because I bought this item well in advance of the time I needed it thinking your postage times were 4-6 days as stated on your website, you need to make damn well sure you try to make your customer a little happier. After being told there were delays in shippment, I asked for an ETA. Nope, you couldn't give me that. Then I asked for express postage when the item was available. Nope, you couldn't give me that either. Then I asked for the simple thing of having the postal address changed so the item could go directly to the person I bought it for, as they live 4 hours away from me and I only got to see them this weekend (without a present for them) and no, you couldn't do that either. And you made out like it was such a great thing that the item has tracking so I can see where it is when it's shipped and organise for someone to be home to receive it. Well that's not the problem!!! The problem is I need to drive 4 hours AGAIN on another weekend to give the person their present!
Very inconsistent and bad customer service, I will not be shopping off this site again, nor will I be recommending this site to anyone."

It has been 2 weeks now and I've been checking the status today (18/02) and it says ORDER DELAY. I've spoken to numerous reps but were not really that helpful in giving me exact details. A few days ago, the status was ORDER in QUEUE and days prior to that ORDER PICKING.
What I want to know is what is causing the delay? I understand the product comes from HK but please just be honest to buyers. Also, since it's in HK and Chinese New Year is coming, I just don't want more delay in my order.
I ordered from your guys because you had a very good price and your website shows 6 in stock when I placed my order.
How can you explain the delay when you had 6 in stock? How hard is it to get payment, pack and dispatch it?

"I have purchased 2 tablets from this seller.
One of them was spoilt before the warranty was up. They were kind enough to settle all shipping arrangement to collect it back and have it checked. It was beyond repair and they replaced a new one for me!
The 2nd tablet was not bootable. After emailing them, they responded very quickly. After a few rounds of troubleshooting, it was solved!
Being an overseas buyer, I have fear that once the device bought was bought, all after sale support would stop. But not for this seller. I would buy from them again and again and recommend this seller to people I know.

"There was a two week delay in filling order despite website indicating stock. Information from seller about reasons for delay was not forthcoming. But item finally arrived safely by DHL. ValueBasket's price was the best available for this item (Nissin i40 digital flash) and together with free courier delivery was exceptional value. They just need to pay attention to informing customer about delays. I would buy from them again."
