Promised at point of ordering to have the product delivered within 2 weeks. Just short of the 2 week mark I received an email informing me of an unspecified delay due to increased order volume.
Every week for nearly 2 months now I've chased this and no one can give me a dispatch date, an acceptable reason for this delay or any form of meaningful compensation. The best I was offered was an insulting 2.5% discount!!! Additionally, my case has been handled by at least 4 different reps...customer service 101 fools!

I have ordered a Samsung S6 dual sim since the beginning of February. At the moment of paying the product was available but when the payment was done, BAD NEWS: product out of stock. Since more than a month now, I have got no news from the site, they kept the money and as at today impossible to receive neither my order nor my money.
One advice : AVOID THIS SITE AS YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED.

"Well they show that the item is in stock,this to me means they have the item and ready to ship out ,you would gather you would receive the item in a couple of weeks Maximum.But No it will probably take 4 to 6 weeks .I am extremely disappointed with this outcome and really will never buy again unless these sites can clean up there act. "really bad experience. I paid 1800 quid for a camera and they tried to stall some time asking all sort of papers like id, passport, house contract over the email. I wasted 3 days because of that and I don't know how safe are my informations at the moment. After 2 more days I received an email from dpd stating that I will have my parcel shortly. On the next day I called them and they said that they received only the papers from valuebasket but not the product and they told me to call them to find out what's happened but their call service didn't worked so I had to email them. After loads of worries I received my product but I wont recommend it at all. I spoked to them several times over the phone but they didn't helped me at all and they hang up a few times because they didn't know what to say except to wait"

They were not able to dispatch my product in a month time (maybe they haven't even had the stock). On top of this, the customer service is ridiculously dishonest and incredibly slow. I've requested to cancel my order and to refund the money, however have not received any response as yet. I will not use them again and would not recommend them to anyone....
The full story:
Ordered a product on 20.01.16 and paid on the same day.
A week and a half later I received an e-mail stating that "Due to unfortunate internal warehouse delays, there was a hick-up which caused us to overstep our promised time frame". They promised me to dispatch my order by 09.02.16.
I made an inquiry about the product around the 9th and asked whether they could offer me a discount for the delays. It turned out that they still haven't dispatched my product, they requested my further patience and offered a 'generous' 2% discount. I wrote back that this is very disappointing etc.
No response for about a week. They finally wrote back letting me know that they still didn't know when the product can leave the warehouse and asked me to accept their 2% offer. I wrote again saying that I can only wait till 22.02.15 with the dispatch and if they can't confirm that this was done by the 22nd I would cancel my order.
No response to date. I cancelled the order, now waiting for a response and my money back."
"I ordered a Sony Experia Aqua mobile phone on 3 February. Delivery was promised within 8 working days. 13 working days later - nothing! According to my Account page, it hasn't even been dispatched. However, I was thanked for my patience, I am not patient. My old phone contract has run out and I need a new phone. My 2 e-mails has received no reply. I contacted them by telephone twice. The 1st time, I was told, the delay was done to the Chinese New Year! The 2nd time (getting through after an 18 minute wait - no apology, even after I asked for one) I was told it was because of a "backlog". However, she would get back to me the same day by e-mail, giving me the delivery date. Needless to say, she didn't. I wish I had never had any dealings with them and will be braving the long telephone wait to cancel my non-existent order tomorrow. Avoid like the plague! This is NOT how online commerce is supposed to work. WIth this lot, you would be better off popping down the High Street"
"I ordered a Polar A360 on February 2, the web site says 3 in stock, the product ships in 3-5 business days and should arrive in 5-7 business days. Paid for product using Paypal which they charged immediately. After 5 business days I looked up my account on their web site, and it said "still processing", so I called customer service. They told me product should ship shortly. 1 Week later no product, so I called customer service again on 2/12 and they told me the product is being repackaged and should by end of week. I told them if it was not shipped by the end of the week I would cancel. Friday 2/19 still not product or shipment so I called customer service. The Valuebasket.com website still says there are 3 in stock. They told me they are awaiting the order to arrive, and it should ship next week. Valuebasket wanted to compensate me with a 8G USB drive for my delay. I told them to cancel my order. To add insult to injury told me they would refund my Paypal account in 2 - 3 business days.
I think there is an issue with their truth in advertising - I would not recommend shopping here - their prices may be too good to be true. "
"Bought xiaomi note 4 mobile which arrived within an appropriate time.
Began using phone and only installed apps via 'play store'
Phone began redirecting web searches to sites with unsuitable content and pornographic images.
Security program picked up built in programs within the phone which I could neither delete or uninstall.
Informed valuebasket who requested that I return for repair, which I did.
Firstly I sent via post office 24hr recorded delivery but Value basket would not confirm receipt of phone for 2 weeks.
They then took another 4 weeks to repair the phone and when they were sending it back could not confirm how long it would take to get it back to me. I got fed up with being without my phone so requested refund and I was offered refund but they deducted £6 for depreciation !
I asked for my postage costs back but was refused unless I took the phone back.
Value basket then accused me of putting the virus into the phone although it was an in built 'Trojan' on their phone from the start.
I asked for the £150 refund which they say I am entitled to although the phone cost £156 and return postage that cost me £8.55 .
Takes them one week to answer to each email I send them.
I cannot even trust that the phone would be fixed if they can lie about the in built 'Trojan'.
They received my phone 25th Dec 2015 and it is now 18th Feb 2016 and the issue is still unresolved and I am in debt of £164.50 and waiting for my allowed refund of £150, which I am wondering if I will get."

"I've placed order (and paid the same day) on 18th January 2016. After 5 working days my status changed to processing, then after another 5 working days to ready to dispatch. After next few days and till this day it shows - Order Delay (with bogus information about priority). So it's been over a month. The phone which they still show as in stock hasn't shipped (and they say they ship after 2-3 weeks), after few tickets they tell me that they don't have time frame for my order completion, and today for no apparent reason they just put my order ON HOLD!
Stay away from this website, it operates as if they cover old orders with cash from new orders, and because before Christmas they had biggest sales of year so people got their orders before that time and new customers (after Christmas) pay for the pre-Christmas ones (and it will generate a LOT of delays)."

"by these gentlemen I bought Beats by Dr. Dre Studio Over-Ear Wireless and immediately I had problems. As soon as I received the goods I reported power adapter does not comply with Italy (nowhere in the site was written that the product has an english power adapter, moreover the site is in italian...).
They have asked me to provide photographs of the pack and after more than 14 days they replied that the adapter was in the box, pretending not to understand my problem. So gone are the 14 days to request a refund.
Now I need to take advantage of the guarantee but despite my emails no one has taken over my practice.
At Apple, in Italy They provides the official maintenance for BEATS, they told me that the product has virtually no guarantee because not bought in Italy (but i did the order on the italian site!!! so under the italian law).

ValueBasket offered to sell me a product and deliver it within a set period. I accepted the offer and paid the agreed Consideration, however, ValueBasket have not delivered the product as agreed. {Broken Contract?}
They say that this is basically because they don't have the product available due to more than expected orders. Why take more orders than you can supply?
To give credit to them they have apologized for the error!

A basic principal in marketing is to ensure your supplier can supply. This point has obviously been missed on this occasion.
it is now 18 days since the order was placed and money paid, but still no signs of shipping advice even though at 10:00am today their website showed that they had 5 units in stock {they didn't have any yesterday} If as they say I have been place on priority shipping why haven't the advised me that the item is now in stock? Not only is it in stock, but it is also cheaper by 16.00
Come on V,B get your act together. Bigger businesses than yours have gone to the wall, and by the reviews that I've read that's where your heading.
As expected I have received a stock standard reply from V/B thanking me for my UNDERSTANDING. Sorry, but I do not understand the nonsense that you are dishing out to your clients, the same answers to all who comment on your negligent behaviour. It is quite obvious to all and sundry that your employer has given strict instruction on what you can and cannot say to people.
I have made telephone calls and each time I can predict what garbage I am about to hear. It's time to stop making weak excuses and get on with the required processes to ensure your clients are treated with the respect they deserve."
"I placed the order on 10 Feb. Since then there were no update on the status. There were no order shown when I logged in to my account. Feeling concerned I immediately logged in to contact and check on my purchase status. Still no response till I logged in request to cancel my order. I am extremely uncomfortable with this company and I want to cancel my order and to get refund to my credit card.
Honestly this is really bad as even after repeated efforts they can't be bothered to response. Extremely slow."
