"ValueBasket just want to take your money, they are not interested in giving you a good customer service.
We purchased a £230 Canon Powershot D30 "Waterproof" camera for snorkelling in Barbados. Despite meticulous attention to following the instructions, we noticed water ingress by the third swim with condensation on the inside of the screen. On the sixth swim the unit packed up. Inspecting it, it was quite clear that the gaskets used around the hatches were too thin in places so were not forming a seal.
We sent it back to ValueBasket for a replacement / repair under warranty and were told that the warranty "does not cover physical damage", despite explaining at length that a manufacturing defect was the underlying cause. ValueBasket have since dodged all e-mails and calls.
It's well worth the 5% more it will cost you to buy from a more reputable dealer.

We purchased the unit in Feb. We first swam with it in March, operating it exactly as the instructions said. We has six swims before it packed up despite operating it as the instructions said. We reported it in March. These reports went ignored by ValueBasket until May. Yet ValueBasket are shirking responsibility and blaming us.

I ordered a phone on 10th December and received and email saying it would be delivered within 5-7 working days. 8 days later I received an email saying it would be dispatched on the 29th December (11 WORKING days after my order). 10 days later I received another email saying that my order would be filled within another 2 WEEKS! I rang and was told that they were unsure when my order would be completed. I was offered a 2% discount! 2%!!!
I was then told if as not happy I could cancel my order for a full refund. Now I am waiting for my refund.
NOT HAPPY this was meant to be a Christmas gift and was ordered with plenty of time."

"My product has not yet arrived, or been dispatched, according to my order status when I log on...which is simply blank????It was ordered 15 days ago. This does far exceed the delivery time stated on the website. Understandably it is a very busy time, at Christmas to be ordering. Perhaps the expected delivery time should be changed on the website to reflect this as I was disappointed to not receive my order before christmas.
Also, my order was accidentally duplicated, through an error using their payment process, paypal and google chrome. Value Basket notified me of this immediately and said a refund woukd be processed and to wait 7 days. It has been twice that amount of days and my refund had not appeared in my account. Again I can understand delays may occur due to Christmas and public holidays, but I am disappointed to wait over 15 days for my refund."

"Having major problem trying to get in touch with Valuebasket.com, placed an order last week for a Christmas present item showing as in stock. Payment was taken immediately but no confirmation email? I have tried in vain to contact company regarding a delivery date, no response from emails and phone line seems to constantly be experiencing problems?. I am now beginning to think this is a scam and can't seem to speak to anyone ? Customer service appears to be non existent .
Having had my complaint acknowledged on 24/12/2015 I am now awaiting a response as to when I will receive a full refund ?? Could I please be informed ASAP as a replacement present had to be purchased and I am now out of pocket almost £300!"
"Ordered a product on 6 December. It was shipped on 14 December. Contacted Hermes (courier) on 19 December to enquire about status of shipment, was told that parcel was missing and I needed to request a refund from Valuebasket. Have emailed Valuebasket several times to request a refund as parcel has been lost by Hermes but they keep saying that the parcel will arrive soon and it is now to late to cancel the order.
I am very disappointed with their customer service, not sure if I am ever going to get my money back. The one thing I do know is that I am never going to receive the order but Valuebasket are neither willing to acknowledge this nor willing to contact Hermes regarding my order.
PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, YOU WILL NEVER RECEIVE YOUR ORDER OR GET YOUR MONEY BACK!!!
UPDATE 06/01/16- Valuebasket have now acknowledged that my parcel has been lost, however, I still have no idea when I get a refund :-("
"Very poor customer service. My rating is based on my experience with Valuebasket.com. Cust service telephone cant be reached. Automatic message says - the line is having technical difficulties. This is since last 6 days, not once could I reach the customer service desk. Email queries gets responded, but after 2-4 hours. We get a standard, cookie cutter response irrespective of a specific question. In short ineffective, irresponsible Customer service. Items showed as 5 pieces in stock when I ordered. 2 days later - suddenly it went out of stock. My consistent attempts to track the shipping always got a standard same response. Waiting 7 days after my money is debited, despite the item in stock is ridiculous. If the item is Out of stock, Valuebasket should keep us updated and leave the discretion to the customer. Finally, I cancelled my order today online, by submitting a ticket. No idea when i would get my refund :("
