"I ordered a Sony Xperia Z5 Premium from Valuebasket.com (Order Number: 946385 - 503397) on 13 December 2015. There are two variants the Dual and the standard. I mistakenly placed an order for the standard one. I ment to order the Dual version.
I tried to contact value basket asap after I placed the order and I also tried to call the number stated on the website many times. The number says they are having technical difficulties with their phone line. Also their online help portal has live chat but all of the operators are offline. I have opened a ticket in the support centre (Ticket ID: IYZ-359-83267) to try to confirm the change that I would like to do, but I am now thinking that the whole site is a SCAM after reading reviews that other people have been experiencing from valuebasket.com. They have not contacted me or responded to my support ticket.
I will update once I get some sort of response. I have also contacted my bank to see what happens if they don't respond. They said they will raise a non receipt of goods on my behalf and get the money back. But all of this takes time and I wanted the phone before christmas. I hope this will get resolved before then.
I just hope that this will help someone in the future to make sure that they know not to deal with these kind of websites albeit with their low prices, it is not worth the hassle.
UPDATE:
Value Basket has contacted me after my review on trustpilot, saying that I could change over the phone on the order, but they have put my order on hold until they receive conformation from me.
On their reply they say they did contact me, but until I made this review I did not receive any message. I can prove that using the times on their email and also the time I sent my email.
I have since wrote 2 email saying that I do confirm the change of the order and would like to go ahead. These emails both went to the service center and have got ticket ids (the original id: IYZ-359-83267 and new id: TOP-957-68480) I have yet to receive a reply this is over 24 hours ago. The customer service is really poor. Very long reply times. I understand that they are abroad and that the time difference, but this is over 24 hours ago and I have yet to receive anything from them.
Their phone line still does not work, it would seem to me that they never did work.
I hope after updating this review I would get another reply which is what happened before. Im sure to say that if I did not come across the trustpilot website I would have never got any reply from value basket.
UPDATE 23/1/2016:
Over a month ago I placed my order. I still have not received it. This company is a FRAUD and SCAM.
Value Basket sent me an email saying that my Parcel was shipped on the 8/1/2016. I was checking HermesWorld website which is the courier for value basket. Nothing changed until the 13/1/2016.
On the 14/1/2016 HermesWorld said that the courier had tried to deliver, but this is false as I was at home the whole day. I did not receive a missed post card or any indication that the courier did try to deliver.
I called HermesWorld on the 15/1/2016, they said that you would have to wait 48hrs for the item to be redelivered or otherwise the item is lost.
After waiting 48hrs on the 17/1/2016 I called HermesWorld and they declared the item lost.
I believe that there was no item sent in the beginning and it was all a SCAM.
I then contacted value basket on the 19/1/2016 telling them that the item was lost and I want a Full refund! After waiting over a month for my item when it says on their website 8 to 10 business days for delivery. Complete LIES.
I have yet to hear back from them.
I will contact my bank tomorrow to try and recover my money from this fraudulent website.
-PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

This is now 23rd January, and after many attempts at contacting them, with only a few non-committal replies I still haven't received either my goods or a refund, that was requested two weeks ago.
My advice would be that if you like your money DO NOT give any to valuebasket.com. They will just take it and you'll never see any evidence of it again."

"Ordered a Nikon camera lens from VB on 27 December which was apparently in stock and should be despatched and delivered 5-8 working days. Then received an email informing that there was a "hick-up" causing them to "overstep our promised time frame" and that my order would be dispatched no later than 15 January.
On 15 January I was again emailed to say that there was yet another delay and that I could expect dispatch within the next 2 weeks and offering me a 2.5% further discount on my order should I choose to wait.
Of course, alarm bells started ringing and I chose to cancel my order as I found the time scale unacceptable and I was never given a real reason as to why there was such a long delay - especially as my card statement showed that they had taken payment almost immediately!!
I have received an email telling me that my card will be refunded and should expect this within 7 working days - rest assured, if this is not the case I shall NOT be waiting any longer and will be taking further action.
I am also at a loss as to why I should need to fill in a "webform" in order to reclaim my own money as VB already have all the details they require (I already had this response from VB on another ratings website).
VB if you respond to this review, change your automated patter ... I have heard it all before!!!"
